      Bernie voting with Dems is part of the cause of wealth inequality, because Democrats have used nonstop immigration since 1967, high taxes, and over regulation to put slack into the labor market year after year. Which gives all the power to employers, driving down wages, and immigration drives up housing prices at the same time. To the point that tens of millions of Americans don't have any money left over at the end of the month. It's the low wages and lack of power at the bottom that allows the excesses at the top. Causing the wealth gap.
      Compare that to JFK style conservative policies of using low taxes, smaller government, deregulation, and less immigration to tighten up the labor market. Which gives power back to workers. Raises wages. Allows for advancement. Allows for mobility. Allows people with bad job records or few skills to get jobs. And gives people dignity.
      If Democrats actually cared about lower income people and were capable of compassion and empathy, they would be Kennedy/Reagan conservatives.
      "The ever expanding power of the federal government, the absorption of many of the functions that states and cities once considered to be responsibilities of their own, must now be a source of concern to all those who believe as did the great patriot, Henry Grattan that: “Control over local affairs is the essence of liberty.” Commencement Address, University of Notre Dame, January 29, 1950.....John F.Kennedy

      Soviet style one size fits all K12 schools are a disaster that fail every child. Privitization with vouchers would make schools compete for students, which would drive up quality of service, make schools more responsive to parents' choices, and drive down prices. Someone would perfect the K12 school, put one in every town, and every other school would have to improve service and cut prices to compete. It's a win-win for everybody.

    • @pattonmoore

    • @XenobiaF
      @XenobiaF หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@practicaliching2311 Actually, having more schools competing drives up the cost of education. Every time a child in a state that provides vouchers for students to go to a private school, the public school looses the money. The cost to run the school remains the same, but the school has less money to do the job. We need to have more teachers and/or aids in the classroom to meet the needs of all students. More money to improve the education of all students. Perhaps the best teachers would be better used as coaches to help all teachers improve instruction. Every school should have the needed facilities and materials to do their best. Right now some school districts get more money than they need to provide a great education while most get less and some get even less, but they are all expected to achieve the same level of excellence. Give all public schools the building and resources they need rather than dilute the resources they have to build private schools. Private schools will become just another way for the rich to make more money at the expense of the poorer taxpayers and their children.

    Just watched an elderly woman who's leg was broken by police because the hospital she went to refused to give her a COVID test for her homeless shelter. The homeless shelter wouldn't let the woman go back till she got one, the nurse said "you don't need a COVID test to live on the streets". The police proceeded to man handle her even refusing to let her have her cane back telling her to get a stick off the ground. When she turned around trying to reason with the cops at the hospital entrance they get frustrated with her and decide to slam her to the ground breaking her leg which resulted in her returning to the hospital staff who still refused a COVID test for her, only worked on her leg (not sure if they provided a cast) leaving her in a huge debt with the hospital. The police are being self investigated at the moment but it doesn't seem she will win the lawsuit she is trying to place against them.

After all, most people under our current system get their health insurance from their employer, and these employers often pay for a portion of the insurance premiums. I'm not sure if employer participation is part of Bernie's proposal, but either way, with the cost containment features of a Medicare for All system American businesses would gain the cost savings that the rest of the civilized world enjoys.

The only way to fix it is to privatize it so if people dont like the service or prices they can go somewhere else. The competition for customers is what drives down prices and drives up quality of sevice.
    And get rid of patents on everything. All they do is co sentrate wealth into the hands of the few at the expense of consumers.

    So no healthcare. Listen as long as your insurance pays for it, it will always be for profit. You need to get rid of mandatory medical insurance if you want prices to go down. Same with housing. If the government is giving out money for housing, all housing prices go up

    Hey Bernie almost every time there's a big announcement there's something wrong with the system audio system, and I can't read lips but I really know you're important and I want to hear the message but I like this is just every time there's an announcement there's a problem with the sound system, very disappointing
