- The Arch Rivalry was back at the center of attention again on August 30, 2008. Missouri once again jumped out to a big lead and held off an Illinois comeback to start the season 1-0 in a 52-42 win. This marks the first time since 1978 that Missouri has started the season by defeating a ranked opponent.

i was real impressed with the d-line, and stryker. Chase coffman is a beast, 4 broken tackles and it takes 3 to take him down on one play! Also Washington will be huge this year. Go tigers!

1. Maclin return touchdown. One of the most prolific explosive young players we have seen in a long time.
2. Chase Coffman's leap and juke. This guy has to be one of the best tight ends that ever touched a college football field.

Huge MU fan but i feel like we are an OFF ON team...either we make plays and keep scoring or we don't start to do anything 'till it's too late...wish we were more consistant...started the season great but just seemed to get worst as it went on...at this point i can only hope on next season =\.

the first song is Insane Clown Possy (yeah that's right ICP) and their remake of let's go all the way. Sly fox was the original, but ICP version is very good.
It's great being a Tiger fan right now. We beat the #19 team in the country by 10 (really 17) and we are not happy.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this. I'm a Mizzou grad living in Hong Kong and it like torture for me to have to miss watching the games on TV this season. I especially enjoyed seeing the Chase Coffman 'ballet.'

JMac ran that 99 yrds in 12 seconds. Minus the 2 seconds of jukin and jivin and that's lightning "Bolt" fast. 100 meters is roughly 309 feet. I say JMac should race Bolt. After we sign Bolt up to play for Mizzou next year, of course.

From these highlights, you would think Missouri completely destroyed Illinois. I guess you must have just "forgotten" the highlights that led to the 42 points and 451 passing yards from Juice Williams. Hilarious. Big 12 offensive coordinators are smiling today.

This was a weak game for us. Especially giving up that last TD with like, no time on the clock.
But I'm not worried. Illinois isnt bad, and we still won by 2 scores on a neutral field.
If we can get by Texas AT texas, then we should be undefeated.
They play one more year, meaning 2009...after that it is up to both schools but it looks like MU wants to renew the Arkansas rivalry, but like I said depending on the post season meaning Juice and others going pro and the MU re-loading class nothing is definate!?!?!?!

Hang my hat on what? 2008 is already over with an MU win, so what you might beat us 1 year? MU has won the last 4. Don't count on winning 2009 either, especially if Juice leaves for the NFL....sure Mizzou loses a shit ton but they have some pretty good recruits who are freshmen this year, yeah you might win next season but Missouri will be close to reloaded in like you said 2010.

juice was injured. illinois wud kill missouri right now. juice williams a joke? talk about a top 10 career in big 10 history. leads illinois in rushing, passing td's. leads illinois in passing, and total yards. 6th in the big ten in all time yards. i mean he struggled at t he beginning of this season cuz of a hamstring injury....and illinois does not suck, first year with a new offensive coordinator? they are struggling getting weapons the ball. but they are picking it up games
What a biased video. The Illini score 42 but you wouldn't know it from this. For some reason Mizzou fans think they're somehow entitled to win every game they play this year, but they don't stand a chance at the national title b/c of their mediocre defense. We'll win the next 3 arch-rivalries anyways w/ Zook's recruits. ILL-INI!

@nabaseball4 surely you dont believe what you are saying. Illinois won 5 conference games in 2 years combined. That is terrible. No matter how you twist it its pathetic. Because one player piles up yards doesn't make him great. Go watch any horrible college or high school team in the country. YOu will see one or two guys getting most of the yards all the time. Thats what bad teams do.
