Eureka ! A video about the Q40 at last ! Thanks for doing that Sid, there's so little info out there on the Q40 and it looks like a little belter of a machine for the money. I would love to see you on a proper dig with it and also some depth tests if you have the time. Plenty of great finds with it on the Quest FB page. Thank you.
Hi Sid, I have a Garrett 400i back up to my Deus but thinking of getting Q40, I like those tones. Looks like it has great performance for the price tag?
jumped through a lot of hoops.... try contacting you local council and show them you have ncmd insurance and also show them proof of you declaring finds to museum etc... ;-)
3 times i found George3 pennys in ~15inch deep and it was even better signal in hard dry ground, it was really impressive, and better to use coin mode slower signal but goes deeper😉
Isn't it sharp enough to pop the coins out by probing with a screwdriver? They just about accept that in our parks, but not cutting the turf like you were doing.

Loving "Shovel Cam" :-) - These Q40's are great, had mine about 6 weeks, lots of good finds coming up!
Great review Sid, like the look of the machine 👍🏻

Aidas Grubinskas good machines aint they 👍🏼👍🏼
doesn't look a bad detector for the money I'd like to see how good it is on hammys and a bit of gold might be worth getting one
Hi @thekingferreter I've had a Lizzy Half Groat and a small Roman coin with my Q40. Plus lots of other finds. Really nice machine.

its fine here mate... ;-) if it was needed i would do
What a silly law, too much risk to scratch a historic relic that could wind up in a museum. Politicians placing turf over history, sad.
How did you get permission to detect on the park Sid?
Public land lol ?
