      his argument about the assaulter made no sense. the whole point of pro choice is that the woman gets to decide what to do with the fetus. not another person. the third party assaulter doesn't have any right to the fetus just like he doesn't have any rights to the woman. it's the woman who gets to choose. not the assaulter.

      The man used wrong arguements for the wrong question. It's much better to look at abortions not as a fact of killing the unborn baby, but rather as the final decision that was brought to the woman with an unborn child. Why did this happen and why does the woman want to do this? To give birth is not an easy thing to do, so is making the choice of killing the child.

    THAT was the best response to that question I've heard to date!
    Women do need to have that burden relieved and balanced for a change! That might actually change the minds of many women in that position!
    Love the question of; "A pregnant woman being attacked and the unborn child dies?" Should the attacker be held responsible for that death?
    YES, of course! Everyone feels the same about that unborn child! Now, apply that emotion to abortion. Wow!

    • @Firstname_Surname
      @Firstname_Surname 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The attacker is held responsible for that death because either the baby is already conscious (say 20 weeks or older) or would be conscious if not for the murder (considering the mother intended to birth him).
      So if we talk about abortion - prior to 20 weeks the baby is not conscious so should not be considered a sentient being, in this case this argument has no bearing.
      In relation to the second argument, the assumption is that the mother was intending to birth him. If it could be demonstrably proven that the mother was intending to abort that baby prior to the baby's conscious experience, I don't think the attacker should be held liable to the same degree, only to the degree of perceived probability about the mother's failure of abortion.
      Hopefully that makes sense. But Vivek definitely makes a much better argument than most conservatives on this issue!

    • @X3S000
      @X3S000 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Firstname_SurnameSo anyone without consciousness isn’t human?
      How about we hold people accountable for being irresponsible.
      Hook up culture is toxic and if a woman can’t bare the responsibility of raising the child then she shouldn’t be having sex and same for the man.
      A woman typically chooses who she sleeps with, a man has less options therefore the woman has a greater responsibility to choose wisely and be safe.
      Both should be held accountable but women thinking they should be able to avoid the consequences that come from sex is disgusting.
      Defying nature will always have consequences.

      I don't think consciousness should make a difference either way. Being wanted or not should not be the basis for whether someone lives or dies.
      In no other situation that I'm aware of do we humans make so many excuses to avoid voicing the truth, that no matter the stage of development there is a baby growing. In the future, should a woman decide to have a child after aborting, they will always wonder who that older brother or sister might have been and may be haunted by it.
      Babies are also fully formed, just small, very early (like 9 weeks). Abortions themselves are extremely barbaric. It takes little searching to find out. If a person did the same to a newborn, people would want them shot in a public square, but because we don't see it happen and because we can't hear the screams, it's considered ok.

      Yes.. but for a lot of women, it is easier to kill the unborn baby via abortion than having the baby and then suing for child support from an absent father. Ramaswamy wants to make the second option to become much easier than the first option. Also, to teach women to take responsibility by not opening their legs unprotected to every Tom, Dick and Harry that walks in and then regretting it when they become pregnant.

      @@krisrap3828in most states in the union doesn’t the mother have the right to deny the father custody or visitation rights and still sue for child support? The government should not be involved in helping mothers alienate children from their fathers

      @krisrap3828 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielprieto4901 Sure. But the fathers don't care. Most of the men are in it for 15 minutes of fun without any commitment. After that, they want nothing to do with the would-be baby or the mother. They just disappear, Mother can sue all she wants but she doesn't get anything. This is why women find abortion to be an easier option. Used to be a time when if you made someone pregnant, you married her. As a result, the number of abortions was very low. That is why the govt needs to get involved to hold fathers accountable to take care of the baby and the mother. Knowing this consequence will also make men think twice before engaging in activities that lead to pregnancy and an abortion.

His intention is still to save the life of both the mother and the baby. The baby will be premature and perhaps immature depending on the length of gestation. I don't think he will take a VP or Secretary position. I think that just hurts him in future races, because it shows he was not telling the truth earlier.

    Abortion (disengagement) on demand has to be balanced by a man's right to disengage on demand. Abortion rights advocates need to understand that on this, you can't have you cake and eat in too. A man should not be subject to a woman's government backed whim any more than visa versa. Mutually assured divestment has calmed many problems of the past. Nobody should be made a slave to another's whim, government or otherwise. Primary responsibility resides with the owner/control of the vehicle in question. Disallowing access to use is the primary consideration. Failure to do so is a control issue, ergo responsibility issue. Points to ponder.

    I think the biggest thing that would unite the country on the issue of abortion would simply be education. Too many people are somehow not aware of the biological realities of what a fetus is: a distinct, living, human organism only differing from a newborn or a toddler or a teenager or an elderly person by the stage of development it is at in its life cycle. To cut that short at any point is clearly killing a human being.

    In people's mind if it's an embryo or fetus it's not the same as a full born baby. They even go as far as saying every time you ejaculate you kill millions. I try to counter that by saying that once it's an embryo or fetus, if has pretty much won the lottery of life -- it is very likely to be born compared to a mere ejaculation. The further in you go in the lottery of life, the more you deserve to live. However, there's a major chance, close to ~30%, that up to about 10 weeks the baby doesn't make it, so abortion up until 10 weeks is not that bad (back to the lottery of life meaning luck is still needed for the baby to actually be born).

    • @Firstname_Surname

      I think most humans both intuitively and practically give moral value to beings based on sentience. So a fetus prior to conscious experience shouldn't be considered as having moral value. We are all going to die though.. that fact doesn't make it OK to kill anyone.
      - If a child is born with a condition where they have a 90% chance of dying before their first birthday are you saying it needs to be OK for a parent to "humanely" euthanize the child?
      - You're picking stats to fit a narrative. By 6 weeks the odds of the unborn child dying are 9.4%. By 10 weeks it's less than 1%. So your odds would dictate that abortion should definitely be illegal after 6 weeks.
      - Supporting an abortion ban after 10 weeks means that you have a fundamental disagreement with Roe v Wade.

    Still deciding between Vivek and Trump? Here's my analysis:
    1. Vivek has a brilliant understanding of constitution and laws. Trump failed his first term because he got duped by the "experts". Trump is yet to acknowledge his shortcomings.
    2. Vivek has a stronger connection and collaboration with the younger generation. As a self-made entrepreneur and author of multiple books, Vivek can inspire more young people as a role-model. Most of the younger generation tends to vote Democratic - which proves Trump has failed in bringing the youth so far.
    3. Vivek is more well-read, well-spoken and intelligent than Trump: His approach is more unifying and more relatable to both sides as seen in his podcasts and conflicts with protesters. Trump's approach is more crude and divisive, which is not good when we are this close to a civil war.
    4. Vivek is self-funded, which allows his to speak on issues like eminent domain, removing affirmative action, etc. Trump is beholden by his donor class (Super PACs), who have invested a lot of money in Trump's legal cases and campaign - they will demand a "return" later.
    5. Vivek is promising to shut down corrupt government agencies. Trump is advocating a new building for FBI, notice the difference?
    6. Vivek is more energetic (almost 350 events last year, hundreds of virtual summits and podcasts). Trump is very old almost 80 (managed 30 events last year)..which is a magnitude of 10 TIMES the output. The legal fights have and will continue to drain Trump further.
    7. Vivek will not play the 'victim card' his campaign is based off his gratitude. Trump's campaign (and his supporters) want vengeance, which is why their entire strategy is about playing victim.
    8. There is a good chance that Trump will go to jail before elections. If that happens, it would not just embarrass Republicans, the entire country would be subject to ridicule. Vivek will be attacked as well, but he has a stronger background to fight back and he leaves less room for mistakes especially when it comes to rhetoric, the guy is a master magician with words.
    Vivek wins at virtually at every level of analysis. Just my 2c

The list of of measures he has voted against, purely to be an obstructionist, is shameful. I’m 💯 for cutting wasteful spending, this isn’t that. In twelve years, the man hasn’t introduced a single piece of meaningful legislation, but come election year, Utahns are reminded that their senator is a constitutional expert who has connections to the right people in Washington ………and that’s all they need to hear. Then don't get an effing abortion! Easy, breezy, beautiful covergirl. We should not have to fund abortions. I am not in favor in banning first-trimester (or other extenuating circumstances) abortions. But trying to legislate this away is a losing battle. I am not in favor of law upon law. Everyone who gets an abortion or performs them has to deal with whatever karma is generated. I have never believed in abortion. Thankfully my eggs are dried up so having an unwanted pregnancy is not an issue for me now. But unwanted pregnancies occur all the time. Adoption is not necessarily a good option. The child sex-trafficking industry is part and parcel with adoptions, orphanages, etc. The soul cannot be destroyed. If an embryo gets aborted, it might be better than a child being raped three times a day by his adoptive parents. But the best thing of all is being conscious in life--especially when having sex. Realize the immense potential result of your actions. What I despise the most about pro-abortionists is how cavalier they are about it. That's just satanic.

    On the surface, that sounds good, but in truth men are already held accountable for the caring of children they father. The issue is that most of the time when the 2 aren't married, they have to provide support but get little to no say in how the child is raised. That's a bigger issue and I think it isn't particularly helpful to state something that is already the law as if it's a new thought. If the intention is to make that burden even heavier for men in this country, I'm not a supporter of it. Custody law and child-support laws heavily favor women and often punish men. They don't need to be made "extra." They need to be made fair.

      @@deoxlogius I really don't care about your biology class! The fetus cannot survive without the mother's body! The fetus can also kill the mother's body, or cause serious illness! It is up to the mother to decide what to do with that fetus, not the government!!

    No doubt that “unborn life is life” but what is your truth about abortion Vivek?
    He skirted around but never gave an answer. Instead he blabbered on about “Men’s Rights” and hinted at prosecuting women for “assault”. He should have just said that he doesn’t know the answer.
    He’s a joke.

    Do we really need the Wikipedia explanation of killing a human life? Sexual responsibility for men and women. Abortion is a nice term to use so you don’t have to say you are killing human life, whatever stage of life it may be in.

    Sex is pleasurable, but our desire to separate it from consequences and the responsibility that comes with it has created a vapid culture where men never grow up, and women are constantly used as sex toys.

    India has the best Abortion laws. US should adopt our "Medical termination of pregnancy MTP act". The most reasonable act which protects both mother and baby

      And the father? No mention of father, you say both mother and baby as if they're the only parties to this.

    Vivek: You might add the argument that not enough pregnant women are aware of the fact that an abortion can affect their future fertility.
    I am not as opposed to abortion as you are.
    BUT
    I appreciate your stance, your viewpoint and your (at the VERY least, partial) solution.
