Humongous games were so amazing growing up- they sparked so much curiosity and creativity. I have an insane amount of fond memories of playing through all the different scenarios. I hope you guys play more!

Pajama Sam is played by no one other than the great Pamela Adlon AKA Bobby Hill. Her work is so recognizable to me! Nothing cooler than seeing voice actors I know and love on the most off the wall late 90s point and clicks

I actually teared up when I saw they were playing this. I used to beg my mom to take me to the library JUST so i could play this game. I think I completed it like 15 times. I always got stuck on the boat mission 😆

I played this game as a little kid, and it amazes me all the little jokes they made that easily went over my head. It's such a clever little game.
I like how Dan and Arin just skate over Sam not denying being into skydiving or utilizing ancient knowledge, but draws the line at stamp collecting.

Soooooooooo excited for this series!! I played this game as well as You Are What You Eat From Your Head To Your Feet growing up so the nostalgia for this is so strong, I'm happy to see that they are starting off well and enjoying themselves!
I played most of the Humongous games as a kid and this was always my favorite. Even today, the visuals are pretty darn captivating
18:09 Yeah, that's the cool thing about some of the later Humongous games: they switch things up so there's actual replay value, unlike stuff like Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo where everything was static. Sam's confiscated goods can also be in two places per item, which are randomly selected.
IIRC even the socks get shuffled around!

I only put 2 and 2 together for a previous game they played that they added subtitles.
Though both back then and now, it seems like they're automatically generated and incorrect a lot of the time (see the stove singing).
Still, I do appreciate it for games that are hard to hear the voices on.
If I recall correctly, the subtitles are from the game itself! Sadly, they are often incorrect, but better than nothing I suppose
Edit: Oh they did add those in! The subtitles in the game look very different. I wonder why they didn't use the in game subtitles?

@@Kamopop I don't think they're playing the newer Steam version. They might be, but I'd have thought that stove softlock wouldn't be present if they had to address other issues to make the game run on modern PCs anyway.
A bunch of them are incorrect though- just in the kitchen, the stove’s song is completely wrong- it’s supposed to be “I’ve got bacon down to a science, I’m the biggest household appliance”
I’m not done with the video yet but I don’t want to come back and add every single mistake I find, but…. keep in mind when they don’t make sense, it’s probably just an error.

I love seeing them play these and get so much joy out of them even though they don't have the same nostalgia that we're getting. I hope they do Spy Fox next, those were always my favorite of them growing up.
So with these Humungous Games, they all have different 'sequences' sometimes when you start a new game. Also, they sometimes have 'Rare' Sequences that happen. So in this one, the Mask isn't in the room with the dancing furniture. In the Rare version, it is. I believe all Humungous games do this. Love these games!!
Seeing this after so many years is so surreal. The things I thought were normal as a kid end up being far weirder in retrospect. It's like half remembering a fever dream.
This game man. Always takes me back to when I was around 8-10 during the time my parents split. Mom was so poor and had 3 of us kids to take care of. We'd drive to the city once a month and end every visit with a trip to Chapters. Felt like the day was always uneventful until Chapters. Felt like a pocket universe for us to be okay for a while. This game just came out and I remember spending hours on the computers in the kids zone trying to beat it. There's so much warmth and good nostalgia from a time I now realize as an adult was my Mom's most difficult time. So much uncertainty yet my brother, sister and I had no idea. I've let her know since how much she's done for us and how I noticed all those little moments. And every single one was worth it! So glad you guys are playing this! Gonna call my Mom and tell her I love her.
