I just finished the game last night. I honestly was laughing so hard cuz there’s almost a secret story line in this game. And it’s so dumb but the game is aware of that and leans into it which makes it even funnier.
There is something both sweet and amusing about Arin simultainously honouring and butchering Dan's heritage and Dan laughing about it. And the "God's going to be very displeased. Well, he created you so you're perfect in his eyes." Was a perfect addition.
It just sums up their wholesomeness and the fun of their friendship which is just awesome! Arin asking "Did I honor your culture?" after completely butchering it had me bust a gut 🤣🤣
I love that Arin asked if Dan's grandfather was able to make a living at science and Dan just says "Yes". The man literally helped invent the body electrode, aka the thing we use for heart monitors.

I love how Hava Nagila brought out a totally unstudied sound in Dan. He’s in his falsetto so much with NSP stuff it was fun to hear both a lower register and the pure joy of singing something nostalgic and comforting.
He's got great range - I can hit deep notes fine, but nothing like the power of his higher notes. I also love how he gets a bit screamy at times (Peppermint Creams is a great example)

Yeah, one of the episodes with the most laughter for sure. The only one I can think of off the top of my head that might have had more laughs was their Chu Chu Rocket episode. They went insane in that episodes and eventually couldn't even make words, they just had pleading grunts and whines coming out of their mouths lol.

Yo Same lmao. I always felt nerdy about being a band kid but now that the Bone is champ I can brag about how Trombone players got the best pull out game. Also Stars and stripes forever was part of one of my last concerts in highschool. Can confirm shits difficult sight reading and is always fun when we actually get to slur. After 3 years removed I still kinda remember the positions, tho imma be honest my breath aint what it used to be lmao
The subtle, vaguely threatening aura of the response to "Do any of these have a hadron collider?" being a quiet "I believe they all do" delivered with a a smile and unflinching eye contact broke me right from the start.
So about this game, no matter what you do there is a fraction of a second delay between the button press and the toot coming out. You gotta time it ahead in order to match the song. Guess it's meant to mimic the need to tighten your lips before blowing. The reverse controls are to mimic the slide, the further out your arm the lower the note, the closer the higher. The "catching up" isn't catching up it's hitting the note exactly when it matches the line. You need to time it before so the songs with the rapid notes are so much harder because of the need to think ahead. I have a hundred or so hours in this game, old grey mare being my personal favorite to play as well as baboons from the base game, the modding community has GREATLY extended this game's life though. Kiss by a Rose is amazing on this game.
@@protowave I absolutely messed with that. See when you press the key down no matter where you put that setting at there is ALWAYS a fraction of a second delay. The only thing that the setting does is adjust the note timing itself not the period of time it takes for the trombone to actually toot. I tried a range between 0 to -75 to try and fix it. Sorry bud but that's just how the game works. There's no input latency setting for the sound that comes out, only for the position of the notes. My settings are comfortable at -30 so the noise lines up with the note but I still must press ahead of the note.
I know nobody from the Grumps team will likely see this, but thank you for going back and actually putting the game titles in the names! It makes a massive difference!

The moment I saw the amount of stars on the 'difficulty' rating for that song I knew I was in for a treat.
The subtle, vaguely threatening aura of the response to "Do any of these have a hadron collider?" being a quiet "I believe they all do" delivered with a a smile and unflinching eye contact broke me right from the start.

The jarring and frantic toots of Arin desperately trying to catch back up to the song are going to be the death of me
So about this game, no matter what you do there is a fraction of a second delay between the button press and the toot coming out. You gotta time it ahead in order to match the song. Guess it's meant to mimic the need to tighten your lips before blowing. The reverse controls are to mimic the slide, the further out your arm the lower the note, the closer the higher. The "catching up" isn't catching up it's hitting the note exactly when it matches the line. You need to time it before so the songs with the rapid notes are so much harder because of the need to think ahead.
I have a hundred or so hours in this game, old grey mare being my personal favorite to play as well as baboons from the base game, the modding community has GREATLY extended this game's life though. Kiss by a Rose is amazing on this game.
@@spinningpeanutthat's not correct, you just have input latency. there's a setting for it in the game settings.
@@protowave I absolutely messed with that. See when you press the key down no matter where you put that setting at there is ALWAYS a fraction of a second delay. The only thing that the setting does is adjust the note timing itself not the period of time it takes for the trombone to actually toot. I tried a range between 0 to -75 to try and fix it. Sorry bud but that's just how the game works. There's no input latency setting for the sound that comes out, only for the position of the notes. My settings are comfortable at -30 so the noise lines up with the note but I still must press ahead of the note.
