As a member of the I.B.E.W I can travel to any state or area that hires me through the union hall of the jobs available with as many or as few requirements the union hall requires for the specific job . The job calls mostly are for journeyman wireman that have a current paid up dues receipt ( yellow ticket) . This proves we have the credentials needed for this particular job. ( A 5 year IBEW apprenticeship or organized in),Now days the IBEW requires apprentices to pass the state contractors exam in order to complete their apprenticeship. in most states some jobs may require additional requirements such as a city license or state license or twice card and even a CDL. As a non union guy, I’m uninformed. Does the Ibew superseded the law on reciprocal states regarding j card being eligible only in a couple states
