Learning the DE filter multiport valve

I have a brand new DE filter with a similar port valve, which is completely stuck on "Filter" and immovable. If I try to move it, the handle might snap off.
Any idea on how to remedy this? Thanks.

Someone replaced the multiport valve now it keeps blowing out the cartridge filter it's being filter inside of the cartridge filter instead on the inside! Any idea why?

If you put a sand filter multiport on a DE filter the ports are reversed. I have seen that happen. Make sure you have the correct valve
