What’s the best way to transport a heavy solid cover to a shed? Any way to do this myself?
Yes, the air breather tube helps pull air to help backwash.
this is the only video ive seen that shows me exactly what i needed to see. thank you
do u have 2” or 1 1/5 inch pipe?
My wheels just stopped turning all together. It’s a year old.
well where's the next video where you take it apart???
Same question...Found it! Click on Mer Man Swimming Pool...and it will bring it up
What if that doesn't work. Each time I try to plug my pump in, it clicks again, but it works with a 2 prong plug.
Dum video and guy how to empty the basket on the pump but he talks about how to turn on and of the pump, what a dumb as*
How come the finger screen is clogged daily?
But wat about after u reset the light don’t stay green wen u plus something to outlet
How do you unlock
why did you skip the CLEANER button? That's the only thing i need instructions for as the instructions in the panel dont tell you... :[
How can you tell if it's not working properly ?
Awesome video. Helped me out 100%. Thanks!
I have the two green light on but now of the % lights don’t come on and it’s new and it’s the second one that does this any idea ?
great 1 handed video! i was thinking i didnt have mined pushed down enough but once i tightened my single wingnut there was no longer a gap on my Jandy brand DE filter. Do all brands have that breather tube with mesh filter?
Yes the air breather tube was designed to pull air to backwash
Just the part where you mentioned the holes line up was a life saver for me. Thank you Sooooooo much for this video. This was very helpful ….. 😊
Bro, i have a question. Why you think my timer on and off switch does not move. Its stuck. So i can't turn on my pool pump
You should add drops until red brick color.
Thank you so much.
My opinion of Janby...the products and especially the heater sucks..Then try to get the company on the phone, good luck
Mines only have on switch
Do you know what model it is
why did this drain my spa into pool?
You probably have the return actuator locked, most of the time only a partial amount of water goes to the spa to keep the water circulating. Check on the underside or on the side farthest away from the actual diverter, if the switch is in the middle its locked and wont move until it's flipped
What does it mean if the green light doesn’t come back on? And there’s no power coming from that outlet?
Very concise and helpful. Thank you.
Can the green light ever be on when it's not working?
If wires are reversed and it isn’t hooked up correctly yes
Hey, what are those white things within the outlet? And how do I plug something into it with those white things there? Because if I try plugging in something, it just won't go in because those things are there.
thank you so much!
Back deck GFCI. I got a solid green light and a blinking red light, any suggestions
The gfci might have failed you have to replace it
@@VOLTRONDEFENDER4440 thank you we replaced it 9 months ago 😅
no green light 🤔
My problem is that the hose comes apart. I changed the swivels and nuts, but no luck. Also changed the quick disconnect and left the screw on nut at the wall. Feels like too much water pressure coming out and disconnecting the hose. Any recommendations?
This is a Polaris360 and does not run off of a booster pump. It runs off of jet pressure. I have seen hoses blow apart if a 360 is used instead of the 380 model.
After solid green no lights on status or sanitizer output . How to fix that
Very informative, thanks ( and one handed! )
How do I heat my pool with this controller I am very lost and don’t know what most of these things mean.
thank you so much! i fr thought i broke the outlet!
What about setting the actual time lol
To set the actual time you just pull the yellow clock and rotate it
good stuff mate thank you heaps
Interesting, as on my valve, the backwash operation is done with that valve pushed down and locked. Regular filter mode is with that valve up, and locked. Why is there a difference? Also, yours is installed backwards to what mine is. The open slide slot on mine faces the sand filter, not away from it.
Its plumbed in wrong
How do you open it tho it has some kind of blockage thingy in the outlet
Thanks so much for this video. I had no pressure and found the o-ring of the basket in the water. No pressure but then tada!!!!
That’s great!
Just refilled the pool with new filter, etc. and the finger screen still clogs up after a few hours of being cleaned rendering the Polaris dysfunctional. Any idea why this occurs? Such a poor design, IMHO
I am pressing mine for Dishwasher Disposal.. even when I press reset or test ..nothing will happen.
Did you check the breaker in the panel?
I took my polaris apart and cleaned out filter and wheels still arent turning. I have water coming out of the tail but not like the stream that used to shoot out and attack people poolside. I did notice at the wall, there is a ton of water coming out the top of the regulator. So much so that it bubbles up to the pools surface. I've already replaced the regulator with a new one but still does the same thing. Do you think i need a restrictor plate in the wall? I do not have a valve that adjust the pressure to the wall connection.
Under the black gears inside the unit there is a small orifice that gets clogged. I sometimes have to disassemble the feed pipe and wheel frame to get to the orifice and clean out. Sounds like you are getting back pressue. If everything is good inside the unit. The backup valve gears may be stuck. Just replace.
@@mer-mancentral1636 I just realized I don't have an o ring on pool pump skimmer basket. Replacing that first to get a good seal, then I'll check the area you suggested. I also noticed the small wheel with bearings has low thread and the bearings look worn. I'm replacing that too
Thanks
Gracias 😊 appreciate it brotha
Does the switch have to be on, or off if you want everything activated by the timer?
Once the lever is switched from left to right. All equipment wired on load pins 2 and 4 are activated. Usually pump and salt cell. If you have a heater with a blower, it will be wired hot
@@mer-mancentral1636 Thanks for the response. I'm guessing we got a defective one. Working manually, but dial doesn't appear to be turning. thanks again
@@twoweeledsoto6072 Just make sure the timer is the right voltage. 115v or 230v. The white wires drive the gears for the timer but if the timer is 230v and the power is 115v it wont work
@@mer-mancentral1636 I bet that's it. Thanks. I put a 230V timer in because there is an existing 230V timer there (T104) previously. I knew I wouldn't have to give connections any thought. The woman said it had always worked fine. But the pool pump is 115V. Works manually, but if the clock/motor requires 230V, it makes sense it won't work. Thanks again
@@mer-mancentral1636 No need for you to respond, but incase of curiosity. I replaced the timer with the same existing timer, stamped on back of mechanism. The new timer didn't work either. Clock wasn't moving. Manually, it worked, just like the replaced one, but not the clock, just like the replaced one. A friend told me it was not uncommon for these clocks to be defective. Said to return/exchange it. As you pointed out, it's a 220V. The pump is 110V. Always has been, she/owner says. I confirm with her, "at one time that timer worked and turned pump on and off?" She says she's positive. I'm lost. I decide I'll put in a 110V (model T103). I pull out the newly installed T104, and reinstall old T104 (after spraying it down with silicon spray and some lube. I set the old newly reinstalled lubed clock. Set it to start soon (just taking a wild chance), and go return the new T104 and buy the T103 110V model. When I return to the house, THE OLD NEWLY SPRAYED CLOCK ACTIVATED THE PUMP!!! I don't know! Now we're waiting to see if it goes off in 6 hours. The spray couldn't be any better than a new lubed clock? I don't see why the old one ever worked, unless! Unless the clock itself actually works on 110V and not 220V. Let's see what happens. 🤔
Don’t I need to bleed the pressure before opening the top of the basket?
But how do you control the temp? If your app isn’t working?
You have to take the heater out of remote mode then you can manually set the temperature on the heater
What if the buttons aren’t clicking when I push them in? None of the buttons are actually working
Device that the outlet is supplying power may not be allowing a reset. Make sure switches and electrical plug ins are disconnected. Ground wire may not be connected properly on outlet or GFCI outlet is bad.
Same here. My test is stuck in reset outward on an outside outlet.
