What's amazing about Orca evolution is that white patch above their eyes. When I was a kid I thought those were their actual eyes.

@@hadventures717 i googled it, apparently scientists don’t have a solid answer but some theories I saw were that they act as a form of camouflage called disruptive patterning (similar to a zebra’s stripes, leopard spots, or even camo clothing), or acting as false eyes if a prey animal tries to strike at them, or they’re just for sexual selection, like how female birds like males with bright plumage
I remember trials of life as a child, used to watch it every week. It had some ground breaking footage for the time..
The dorsal fin of a grown male orca is 1.8 meters long (6 feet for our non-metric friends.)
Odds are if you stand on top of said orca right next to its dorsal fin, you'll have to look up to see the tip.
