Indeed this is the older version but shouldn't effect the start up. Make sure you turn the master on, i know that may sound stupid but every support website ask if the product is plug in first. Make sure you do everything in the exact order.
Generators should be on, (3 switches with red lights above them) A/P, nav aids, should be turned on, gyros should be aligned also your method of turning off Apu (VSU) is not safe! It should be turned off with STOP (СТОП) button. You mustn't take off when red light in the left corner of captain's panel shows "Not ready" (НЕ ГОТОВ).
Thanks for the tutorial. Have you tried the Tu-144D yet? I can get it so it doesn't tip back on the tail, but starting it is tricky, and if you use your normal view change key, you're permanently stuck looking at the ceiling. Wish I could figure it out because the VC is just as good as the others in this series.
Great tutorial. Using it on the current version of the plane. Buttons are a little different, however I am able to get to the exact same point as in the end of the video. However after a few seconds all the engines stop and come to a complete halt. Any ideas where that might come from?

this aircraft is very complicated, you need to understand russian and be trained for starting this aircraft, its a shame that you have to start it in cold & dark mode.

So is this problem happening at the beginning of the start up correct? You start up your APU and get all 3 green lights and the nyc wont engage?

I did everything like you, but in the end, when i pull the throttle up it sounds to beep and does not go anywhere..

Nothing happens here when after the step NYC ? engine does not start up, all the steps before that are good & green..
I could only get as far as engine 1 spooling up. It never fully starts and is just constantly spooling up. Is that a glitch?

after you start the engines turn on generators they are three switches on left upper panel under horisontal bar.
