    i have these gloves. they are worth every penny. I recommend getting blister pads for your knuckles though. the effect is a two way street. it is made for motorcycles, and will save you from scrapping off all of your skin to the bone, but you'll still get a little friction burn.

      @@selfgain9458 they’d have to ban all motorcycle gloves then that have knuckle protection as even the “plastic” ones are reinforced, sometimes even carbon fiber, and can fuck someone up just as bad. The metal ones are just more conspicuous. But yeah, it does seem to be a legal way around the ban on brass knuckles, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t count as assault with a deadly weapon if used in that way.

    A high quality, high lumen LED flashlight is the most underrated self defense tool. I don't think people realize how effective it is (at night time/in darkness.) A high quality LED will essentially blind an attacker and especially so if they've already established night vision. It can work on nocturnal animals too as a deterrent. There is no antidote except to wait until vision recovers which can be at least a few seconds to well over a minute depending on a few factors. No one is immune. Test it on yourself if you want lol. I've carried a tiny Streamlight Microstream pocket flashlight clipped inside my pocket everyday for 10 years and will never be without it.

    • @Joreel

      I agree a good bright light is always a good thing to carry with you. With LED technology getting better every year, we have some great options of small portable flashlights and strobe lights now. Of course a large light can be a good thing too if you need to club them after blinding them.

    It should be noted with regards to 3d printed guns, it is just the frame that is being printed. One must still buy the slide/barrel/internals (FGC-9 is an exception) and assemble it. Unless you are a person familiar with guns and have a safe place/way to test it I would not do so. Also illegal in some states.
    Seriously, if you want a firearm go buy one. Leave the 3d printing to those that have at least the shooting experience to know that something is about to go wrong.

    • @zidbits1528
      @zidbits1528 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, and after watching several documentaries on "ghost guns" (the vice one is good), even the pros who design and 3D print their own guns have oodles of issues (jamming, parts breaking, not working, etc). The video said the guy isn't giving the plans/schematics out but that's nonsense - they're already available on the internet. Tons of 3D printed glock plans already exist. I looked into it thinking it was neat, but after seeing how reliable they are (even the cream of the crop plans are iffy at best), you'd be better off just buying a real one.

      what is even better is take 1/2" x 6" black iron pipe cut the chain slide it down in the pipe add a 1/2 x 3/4 female reducer with a 3/4 male plug at the end so that you can curl the chain at the end where you hold and screw the male plug into the 3/4 adapter so it pinches the chain in the reducer part of it and on the other part now that the one is anchored solid the other part hanging out of the handle curl the end of chain to about a golf ball size and have someone weld it. makes a nice end weight to make a nice modern day mace . in your pocket all curled up and only 6" long ,but would take the hide off any one who dare try their luck. 3 qty 1/4 cable works good too,just harder to stay anchored. great for weed eating thru the thicket too. multi purpose and if you make them hang out about 18" works good too

    • @Joreel
      @Joreel ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Pepperball launchers are actually very effective and the Kinetic rounds that can also be used hurt like hell and will stop an attacker in their tracks. Both the police and the military use them as a less than lethal option as well and the SEALs here at Coronado Island where they're trained. A gun is always a good last line of defense, but most of the time a less than lethal option is the better course as it won't get you arrested for using lethal force when you didn't need too.

      one question about that video - since when is a knife non leathal? Do you know how ,where and when to stab a man to ensure stopping his predatory action? Very few people know how deep or where to stab a man in the kidney to make him bleed out...If you shoot a man ten percent bigger than you with pepper balls you will get your beat down. Ive shot felons with the strongest bean bag round made from less than ten feet and still had to go to ground defense with him till help arrived. Less than lethal does not match up to lethal intent very often. If you need defense it needs to be quick decisive and final .

      Now please allow me too explain in storyform after the explanation
      a WEAPON is used for OFFENSE
      a SELF DEFENSE DEVICE is used for DEFENSE
      the robber OFFENSIVELY used a WEAPON in an attempt too rob his victim with a bat, the victim DEFENSIVELY used a SELF DEFENSE DEVICE in an attempt too DEFEND himself against the robber with his own bat.
      Both people had the same identical bats, but they used them in two different ways.

      the legal difference varies wildly, and in some countries/localities there's no difference. this can be good or bad, since that 'no difference' can be pro or con.
      to wit, in some of those countries you can use either, without penalty.
      in others, using either will get you in a cell regardless, and the chances of avoiding a long term stay are slim.
      and in some areas you can literally walk 10 minutes and what was legal in the start location is no longer legal or vice versa.
      know the laws of any place you are, or plan to be, if you're looking into what options you have for self-defense.
      the sad reality is, some places basically criminalize self-defense, regardless of the specifics.

    • @selfgain9458

    I own the JPX4 Firestorm with laser and it is an exceptional non lethal defense option, It is NOT however $150. The bundle I purchased with the gun/laser, paddle holster, 4 practice rounds and 8 chemical rounds was $650. The gun/laser itself is $499. Not sure where the $150 came from, but it's way off the mark.

    • @sowhats.6100

      I own the JPX 2 LE (with Laser), I agree it is a truly exceptional non-Lethal, that is far from $150! lol. I had the JPX4, it was just too large and found it almost impossible to carry, so I sold it and invested in the JXP2 LE which made a huge difference and love it. I train & expose to many different CN, CS, and OC... I find the Defense Technology OC/CS blend to be the best for aerosol type defense spray/stream/fogger, it's truly frightening stuff that will leave you with a bit of PTS, far above most other products BUT getting hit by the powerful strike of near bullet type stream of thick OC from the JPX is simply in a class of its own! It takes slightly longer to feel the effects _(although the impact from the stream hitting you, as well as hearing the blanks going off will make you think that you were shot by a gun for a sec, so this fact slows most to a complete stop)_ but once you do feel the effects, you think you just might die _(much like the Def-Tech OC/CS blend)_ , but it simply will not come off you, no joke.
