- It is no big secret that if you put yourself or content online, you will catch some hate. @hvactactical recently had a reel that was full of it on Facebook and Instagram alike. It was a simple video featuring a press on flare fitting made by @rlsrapidlockingsystem7572. People absolutely lost their minds over it. RLS is the original ACR press fitting with over 19 million fittings installed. Yet it is still taboo or worse for a lot of people. Ben and I broke down some of the comments and give our input as to why everyone was BIG mad over it.
Do yourself a favor and educate yourself before hating on a video or post on the internet. The world has enough ignorance and hate in on its own.

Ego problem is a huge deal. Good one Ben 💯👍
I think people down on it because the cost. Myself would like to have it, but for $4-5000 for jaws and power tool a service tech just can't afford it compared to $500 for torch set.
It's definitely an investment
It's tricky to blame the user instead of the product, because if it's that temperamental to apply successfully, and you won't know for sure until much later, that's a feature of the product itself. If they could literally make it foolproof, they would have a point.
It's pretty straight forward process, actually it's the exact same process you're supposed to do when you braze. Most people don't follow that when brazing.
@@CommercialKitchenChronicles I'm just saying, substantial cost difference, plus risk of leakage, plus unknown longevity, make it a tough sell. For no-flame environments, it's obvious. For everything else -well, if it was so obvious, it wouldn't take much convincing.
