improv makes it more entertaining, still doesn't change the fact most of these fake cards are based on old school trash

When i was a kid, in my city we didnt have official yugioh cards, only those fake ones, i still have a lot of those and it was pretty much beatdown strategys with anime rules.
Yeah! I play on the Custom Format on Duelingbook and creating new cards as archetypes are a blast! You guys should maybe try it out in another challenge.

I was scammed with fake cards as a kid. Honestly, I didn't mind much since I barely had any real ones either, but you can imagine the shenanigans. What kinds of fake card experiences do you guys have?
I used to draw cards and their effects on paper, and only got the cards from the mangas lol
I remember some fake cards I used to laugh about in my childhood. Blue-Eyes White Dragon being called "Dark Water Dragon", then Moisture Starman with 13,800 ATK ...
the biggest troll however was my former friend who had a japanese copy of Spellbinding Circle and tried to convince me that if he plays the card he automatically wins, his friend from China (yes, not Japan, China.) would have translated it for him.

"Why? What does it do?"
"I just win, this is the card effect."
"Its open for interpretation."

When i was a kid i was playing with a deck in English at that point i didn't know how to speak it so i just invented the effect by how the card looked like and my friends just go with it
Oh my god I had some of these fake Yugioh cards when I was younger. They sold them at a flea market near where I live at a stall where “everything’s a dollar.” I always loved how absurd and borderline unreadable the text on these cards got. I think I still have a few somewhere.
This is basically how they played in the anime
Level limit Is either a pendulum card with 0 atk and def (no scale) or a spell you have to normal summon. If it's a spell(trap) monster (how you were sort of playing it) you could probably only use its effect when it's in the monster zone.

I remember my brother had a version of Soul Release he got in Chile that was called (in Spanish) “Relieving Play.” Instead of banishing 5 cards from your opponent’s GY, you could “Banish 5 of your opponent’s cards.” It sure was a relieving play for my brother when he could just wipe away any of my cards he wanted for free.

Maestro Superior Tenebroso effect translated is: "After Dark Superior Master has lifted the block any enemies that have maximum attack capabilities are completely eliminated in an instant." I would interpret it as once it destroys a defense position monster, its effect activates and destroys your opponents remaining monsters
I wish one of them played one of their 10k defense guys facedown, so the opponent OTKs themselves when they attack it

Growing up in Serbia in the early 2000s, these fake cards were all the majority of us kids had.
Only kids with richer parents had that luxury of buying the original cards.

So in case you were wondering that exodia card "Maestro superior tenebroso" which means the 'superior dark master' actually translates to "after this card is lifted from the block, whichever enemies have maxed capabilities of attack are obliterated instantly"
