Great vid Rus - I'm no expert, but I can't help but think all that UV in your iPhone lens isn't a good thing.
A filter is certainly the way to go.
As a know-nothing about welding person, I actually found it a bit too dark for me to see the flow of the weld. (Add some red lighting that will pass through the filter?)
