upon closer inspection, if you noticed on 3:46 the thermostat gasket was positioned certain way, when you re-installed the gasket on 4:43 it looks like you installed the gasket the opposite way. not sure if this will be an issue but always put things back the way you found it. This video is sub-par with information but clearly lacks QA
I have a 2009 Honda FIT with the 1.5L engine, but my thermostat housing is very accessible behind the excess coolant bottle, on the front of the engine, facing the radiator. Two bolts, and viola!
That how it is on my 2013 so im not sure whats going on here. It was 2 bolts. Never even had to drain all the coolant out.
Same on my 2010 sport MT. I didn't even have to remove the splash guard, let alone remove the entire air filter housing.
Warning!! This doesn't even mention the 4th thermostat cover housing bolt. 5 bolts all together, 1 on the harness, 4 on the cover. The one not mentioned is right underneath that boxed black wiring harness. You can remove that 4th bolt without removing the entire harness but you will need to push that harness up significantly there is a horizontally mounted bolt and a vertically mounted bolt that can be loosened at the rear of the boxed harness to make it easier to get to the top bolt, I use the little metal mount the wires were clipped to for leverage.
Don't try to remove before that last top bolt on the back or you will mess up your housing.
Haynes manuals are notorious for skipping steps, that is why I do not agree they are the best manuals around, or whatever their intro said.
Can someone assist please. I have been trying to replace thermostat in Honda Partner 2008 but cannot remove the housing after loosening three bolts. How many bolts are there in total?

Broke my housing cause they didn’t say there was 4 bolts instead of 3 that they show 😅
