    tactiles are just generally louder not because of the switch tho, its because u use more force to overcom the tactility, and ur finger continues using that ofrce, not slowing down (maybe even more force) as it bottoms out, thus the switch is bottomed out with more force

    Do you not use your pinky when you type? I have been watching a good bit of people building keyboard lately and have noticed a lot of them do not use their pinky's, and some don't even use their ring finger. But still use some sort of home row typing. I have been trying to increase my typing speeds right now I hover around 100 wpm but that is without using punctuation of any sorts. I got into the bad habit of using caps lock instead of holding down shift. Not sure if learning to use shift during cap will increase my speeds that much though. But it seems like sometimes when I use my pinky on certain key strokes I have errors or slows me down a little bit.

    • @TaeKeyboards
      @TaeKeyboards  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      205g0 is pretty thick, which is good for making linears buttery smooth, and also for dampening them a bit. it's also personal preference, but the general concensus is to use a thinner lube on tactiles to preserve the tactile bump (while also not lubing the legs). Otherwise you can potentially drown out that bump.
