I love that! It is just lovely. I always say, "Simple is better." Imagine the variations one can do with different themes of fabrics. This one screams for a baby quilt to me.... with lots of little cute animal prints.
Hi Lori, rather than "eyeballing" the second seam, you can align your first 1/4 inch stitch line to the black line on the left as you do your second pass. Hope that makes sense...
I really like this quilt as a very nice and easily sewn one for charity quilts my guild does. The bright colors of the printed directions works well for children of all ages - our charity is for children in crisis of she’s 0 to about 16-17 and their Moms. We never know any ages or how many will be needed when we make our yearly donation so this is perfect! Thank you do much!!!
Love this pattern! I have a ton of 5in squares that I cut a few months ago from fat quarters in my stash. Now I have an easy solution for them! Thanks Lori!
Catherine, as long as the triangles were large enough to create the size square that you need once the triangle is pressed open, that should work also! Have fun!
Good morning, not having to worry about seams, for a beginner, is great. Also, thank you for the information on how to use different sizes of squares. Really helpful.
Since the seams don’t quite match where the snowballs meet, I wonder if you used a little larger block for the corner, wouldn’t it look like a “sashing” running thru the quilt? I think I want to experiment with that.
What a great way to use up scraps! I love the way you make the ‘extra’ half-square block!
Great idea!

I do agree that a larger snowball would look like a sashing as well as triangles bouncing back and forth. Would be cute!
