  • This is an abandoned house I explored. It was in the family for multiple generations and was once the american dream farm house. Land, Farm, and a business to benefit from just these things. This house is a reminder of the good ole days.

Pretty cool when you get the opportunity to speak with an owner or neighbor and learn some of the history of the home.

Isn't it strange how the outside of the house doesn't tell of the destruction of the interior until you enter........it was once a beautiful house, sad it went to someone who just doesn't care anymore........great video!

Maybe it was abandoned because it had to much needed to repair then the family could afford?

I was a visiting nurse for years, and have been in many old homes in Massachusetts. Some small and some small mansion scale. They ran from excellent condition to poor, for several different reasons. Usually money was an issue, but a lot of times it was because the elderly person just didn't have any one to help them with up keep. It's a shame how so many beautiful, historic homes are falling in to ruin.

Such neat house and potential. If it were me, I'd dial in on the things that really matter and tell a story about the house, not glass bottles of no real worth, magazines, garbage, etc. The outlits, framing, bricks, carpet, old wallpaper, glass windows reveal a great deal in regard to in what period, who lived there and in what time periods, say volumes about the place. This place gives a person with a historian's mind, a real opportunity here. It was frustrating the focus of this.

Wow, old knob and tube wiring in the house. Still better than today's electric standards. I lived in a farmhouse for 25 years with that wiring, we had ot put on Historic Society Records. 👍 Im so sad to see this old timer house going to ruins. I'd say, it was about 1920 built. Lovely home.💖

Awesome vid. The rounds in that .22 magazine are probably still fire-able. Looks like an old, Remy 590 mag. And the story behind the banister is: when they'd pay off the mortgage, or loan, they would put the final title to the home in the banister, and cover the top. Weird thing, but it's what they did around the 40's and 50's.

What I like about your videos is the fact you try to find out something about what you are filming. You talk to neighbors and seek permission (if you can) to film. Most posters of these type of videos do nothing but creep around and hide in the shadows. Not really much difference from the ones that trash these places. But they seem to find an audience. You also do a pretty good job of filming, so you must know your way around a camera. Nice job. I will sub.
