    That house does look trashed, but they still had a lot of stuff! I never understand why kids stuff is left behind unless it's things they have grown out of.

    I would venture a guess and say it's a foreclosure. People tend to take very basic items and leave everything else.

    I recently helped a friend of mine renovate a apartment who got evicted and left so much stuff behind. Tossed everything. I found pics of the family, baby wrist bands from the hospital, photos of babies, little knitted hats for the newborns, things like that. Why would you not want to take things like that or save them in a tote or album? There treasures!! It was just sad.

    Just a suggestion to make the videos better, slow your roll. We don't see things the way you do in person so walking slower & panning slower would be most helpful to the viewer at home. It's always a good idea to NOT open the fridge in abandoned homes. The smell & pathogens released is not worth the look. Just sayin...
    Can't believe how much stuff is in this house! Looks like they had possible hoarding issues.

    I don't understand, can you give a little bit of background? People who divorce do not just abandon everything. They just divide things and each of them takes their part. In this case, they left their whole life behind, it's just strange. Did they die or something?

      SpaceCowboy, that is exactly what I was thinking.

    • @aych69
      @aych69 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      SpaceCowboy it appears there may have been some hoarding issues going on here. Instead of dealing with the mass amounts of stuff, they just cut their losses (don't know for sure cuz I don't know these people. Just an observation)

    • @JD-dq8zn
      @JD-dq8zn 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If only every divorce was nice and neat like that. Sometimes there's domestic violence or other situations where people have to get out quickly and in between having a dysfunctional home to begin with and having to rush and grab what you can, the house ends up like this.

    • @cowboy6591
      @cowboy6591 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's no way divorce is the cause of the abandonment, Divorces sell the property and divide the $$$ received. Someone shit the bed I say.

    They left behind pictures- I always find it interesting to see the pictures of the people that might have lived there. I understand that there was a lot there but the pace was too fast. Look for dates of last occupancy and focus on a few of the items like the guitar and the metal toys- just my 2 cents as a guy who likes to watch urban exploration vids

    You know how when you need spare change you look in the cracks of your couch or recliner? Check out this Couch at 5:38 heres the scene 1 of its cushions is setting up and next to it a framed picture - *Look at the small area between both of them in the crack of the couch at 5:38* see the glowing eyes peak out then disappear huh creepy or what. That was a pretty nice little tour. I spotted several things of potential value. Depending on which model it is, that Minolta camera could be worth somewhere north of $200. The Tonka tractor, $5- $15. That cast iron tractor is probably worth at least $100. I didn't get too good of a look, but that chest of drawers in the upstairs bedroom looked to be late 19th century (possibly older). It appeared to be made of quarter sawn Red Oak. That head and footboard right inside the cellar door looked to be Red Oak, as well. It also looks to be mid-late 19th century. This house definitely has the potential to be a nice home again with a proper reno and update. There's probably a lot of "buried treasure" amongst the piles of debris.

      Hey, we're just responding to questions asked by the owner of the video. Don't get your panties in a wad. It's abandoned property. Some items deserve to be rescued before a bunch of tweakers go in with ball bats and smash them to pieces. It's not theft. It's preservation. Especially with this new trend called "Smash Urbex".

      dude - In a one dimensional world, you're absolutely right. However, it takes a deeper, more comprehensive outlook to be able to see past the superficial. Especially with vintage items and structures. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, there's this whole tweaker/smash urbex trend to contend with.

      sometimes mysteries are left unsolved. you see an abandoned property with everything left behind, abandoned towns left to die, you wouldn't be curious?
      it's not about private lives, it's about finding answers, looking for clues, learning about people, or lives that were destroyed by unexplainable events.
      doesn't it intrigue your curiosity? Instead of saying stupid shit, listen to the video, watch what's going on, and maybe you'd understand why people explore abandoned places. You may learn something.

Both are usually harmless but will scare the hell out of anyone disturbing their beloved homes if you put your hand in it. Neither will bite but they will display and their fangs look scary.
