Twice a year (and I need to set up an appointment, because I just spilled coffee all over the arm of my couch) I have an upholstery cleaner come out and clean the living room furniture and my area rug. So worth it!! It cleans the fabric and the cushions, which is what you want.

I do a quick wipe down of the bathrooms daily but I do a deep cleaning of each bathroom once a month. I have to vacuum daily too but we have a dog and grandkids around all the time.

you can always steam clean the couch cushions! that’s what i do because our cushion covers are such a pain to remove and wash. my steam cleaner has a handheld piece and i just use that 👍🏻

Hi Alexandra! I removed my cushion covers and wash on delicate and air dried them, then I use a lint shaver I got from bed bath and beyond and let me tell you... they look brand new!!! ☺️👍🏼

Years ago when we had a wood floor we had to vacuum and sweep *much* more often than just having all carpet. Loved the wood floor look, but timely to maintain 😊

Personally for me, I like hard wood floor better because for carpet, we always have a hard time getting out stains or they can get a tint bc of the wear on them. I dig hardwood floor bc all though you have to vacuum and mop I think it’s cheaper to maintain bc with carpet, most of the time you have to get a carpet cleaner or cleaners to come in and clean, but just my opinion!

I do have a Dyson vacuum and I vacuum at least 3 times a day! I so dislike having dirt on my floors + I do have a toddler that makes huge messes everyday! love your videos.

A couple of things. We bought a Bissell carpet cleaner that has a removable part meant for stairs. My husband has used it several times to clean our upholstered couches and chairs and it does an amazing job. It extracts almost all of the water, and the couch is always dry in about 8 hours, faster in the summer. I vacuum my bathrooms, kitchen, and areas around our front and back doors several times a week, but the carpets are only done once or twice. My hair is long, too, and it’s everywhere just like your’s! Love your channel! Congratulations on your pregnancy! Babies are the best - from a Grandma of eleven, with the twelfth coming in July!

You look gorgeous in that dress and color, and adorable with the little bump. lol how you’ve busted out the pregnancy pillow already haha! And I was gonna ask if the flowers were a Mother’s Day present from Chad, and I was right 🤗 as always beautiful home and decor! And in our old apt I was always scared to wash the sofa cushions too haha, didn’t want them to shrink! I see some people commenting they’ll be fine on a delicate cycle and line dry, but I’m sure you could find an alternative method too.
I vacuum about every other day with one toddler but he’s not as messy now as he was! I have a Shark, couldn’t make myself spend that much on the Dyson even tho I know it’s a dream come true for so many.

Love your videos! I have found the best way to freshen my couch is with baking soda. I sift baking soda onto the couch and let it sit for 30 minutes then vacuum it up. Not only does the baking soda clean the couch but it also absorbs odors. My couch smells so fresh and clean!! I hope you try it. It was a game changer for me with two kids & two dogs 🐶 lol

New to your channel and LOVE IT! I vacuum my house once a day. I would do it every other day but I do have a little dog and he sheds unfortunately so vacuuming is super important to me. I use the Shark Navigator Power liftaway! The suction on that vacuum is incredible! It picks up EVERYTHING!!

scotch guard for the couches/sofa and pillows also on rugs. a lifesaver on dirt, dust, spills, and stains. it really repels it. lowes or home depot will have it. you may even find it target, to be honest. read the cans carefully and get the one for your fabric. always have to flip cushions and vacuum as you did. i also bought a Hoover carpet cleaning/shampoo machine that has attachments that i use to steam clean the mattress and couch cushions/pillows. i do that every season. i was gonna hire a company to do it but then it grossed me out, they clean everybody else's stuff with that same machine ewwww lol i bought my own. got it from target. look at baby Beuter saying hi to us♥

Love this video I was cleaning most of the day yesterday and a good portion of today. For Mother’s Day I got a Dyson v7 motorhead and I absolutely love it for my none carpeted areas! Questions though, where did you get your shoes there toats adorable! Also how do you do your hair??

I wash mine in the washer but dry them on my clothes line to avoid shrinking and it’s always worked for me!

Hey I just wanted to suggest that you can wash your cushion covers on gentle cycle, in your washing machine with cold water. Then dry on lowest setting in dryer. I pre treat the spots on mine and wash gently about every two months. I have three little boys so I have to clean my couches often. This method works pretty well with my light color couches.

Couch cushions shouldn’t shrink if you wash in cold water.
And maybe don’t tumble try them. But hang them outside to air dry
Maybe try washing one of the pillow covers first to make sure it doesn’t shrink.

I'm literally folding laundry while watching this lol. I try to vacuum everyday. It's recommended to do once a week to every 2 weeks..but I do it everyday! I do have 2 children and a dog though and they make a mess everyday! I mop once to twice a week. I don't vacuum the bedrooms everyday though like once a week if I'm good 😉.

Hi Alexandra! We have a sofa from Pottery Barn that, like yours, isn’t a slipcover couch so I was terrified to wash the cushion covers just like you! We found that throwing all of the covers in the wash with no detergent and cold water only works like a CHARM. We’ve done this several times and the covers have never shrank and always come out looking brand new. Our couch is grey so it doesn’t show dirt like yours will but I would try this method before taking to a dry cleaner. After they go through a cycle we just find places to hang them or lay them flat until they dry. Hope this helps! :)

I'm sure a million people have said this already, but you take the slip covers out of the dryer before they are dry. They won't shrink that way.
