I just did this and it took me a week of 6-10 hour cleanings. I thought it would take two days lol. My advice for anyone is to hire someone to do the general deep clean including appliances and floors if you can afford it. That way you can wash walls and clean small space and little nooks and details. I always treat myself to a huge food order and treats
@@Fivetimesthree yeah , I'd do a donation haul. I kept the main outfits I wear plus some nicer dresses and laundry is so easy to do lol but having kids makes finding time a lot harder. So usually I try to wrangle him into helping me since he's 8 and still listens to me 😂😅
Exactly!! I just watched a video, and the lady said we keep stuff because we feel guilty that we spent money on it. She said it's still costing you because of the time you waste cleaning and organizing the junk!
Maybe you already do this but if you don’t, I highly recommend opening the windows every morning. I’ve been realizing that it’s not common in the US 😅 Just fold back the covers and open the window completely for about 5 minutes. Helps let your mattress breathe, replenishes the oxygen in the room and it’s nice for waking up :)
@@jordynensor2081 Where I live the air quality is almost in a constant state-of-being in a high level poor-air-quality conditions. So... "Open that window if you want to... and see what happens" Example, a few years ago I was going to be recoverying from a out-patient day-surgery. Pretty standard but still needed a recovery time. Then, I made some hot tea to soothe my irritated throat and lungs... and put meds on my eyes... then, made a small bag to leave... She keeps asking what to do to help. I asked her to close up all the windows and take me to the hospital. I ended up having to get breathing treatments and a hospital stay anyway... Oh and also we arent friends anymore - but not because of this. This was just one of the teeny tiny pebbles tossed on to the pile of reasons we need to not be friends. So yeah, definately depends where you live.
We have too much pollution and/ or pollen in a lot of the US. So opening the windows would mean letting all that undesirable stuff in and it getting all over your home.
@@daniellemartin9896you should at minimum open your windows twice a day, for at least 15 minutes to get rid of CO2. Too much CO2 in your house can be more toxic than just pollens. You should invest in air purifiers if your area has that much pollution/pollens.
Love seeing you pop up in my feed again💓✨ Have been here since 2017 and loved then vibe then, loving the vibe now! Thank you for continuing to share inspiration
Sallys beauty supply has an awesome cherry alcohol. It's awesome for glass, mirrors, but I use it for everything! It's around 20$ but lasts me forever!!
I love watching cleaning videos. They are so satisfying. You reminded me that I need to clean my messy makeup bag. Sometimes I just feel that things keep getting dirty and dirty, no matter how often I clean them haha
I moved into a new place last month and have been trying to live daily life while also deep cleaning and its not going well lol - this series is 10000% what I need to keep me on the right track
I love applying makeup by hand, so I started keeping a small cotton rag folded up neatly at my vanity. I wipe my hands off in between products and swap out the rag every few days!
When cleaning my make up, I like to also soak the bottles of liquid upright in really hot water, the product will go to the bottom and you get more uses. Also, to keep my make up clean (I too use my hands for application) I keep washcloths in my cabooble and wipe my hands constantly between products!
14:50: Always point your makeup brushes down when cleaning to get water into the ferrule. Swirl the bristles in circles (not back and fourth). Nikkia Joy (makeup artist) has a video on how to clean makeup brushes.
Here's a tip to prevent your makeup from makeup build-up. Use a wet towel or wipe to wipe your hands between touching and cleaning your containers as you see the stains. I use Pampers Aqua baby wipes for this against my tinted sunscreen. First, I use the wipe to wash my face and then keep the wipe to use to clean, so I do not waste my wipes.
When I was using more fingers than brushes I had a black towel in my make-up drawer that I wiped my fingers with and I washed it often (just with regular laundry, but all black). You can also just keep reusable cotton pad, and wipe your fingers on it :D
This was so satisfying and motivating. You have a lovely home :) Also it’s not being extra to do things that are self care and that extend the lifetime of products ❤
if its helpful for anyone - with the caboodle, what I would do is just take it into the shower with a bottle brush and a little dr bronners. the water pressure sprays out alot of the dust and powder and then you don't have to poke your finger with the wipe into the little crevices. Same with the makeup, spray it all down in the sink and dry it off with a towel. Anything plastic or ceramic I just take to the sink and blast the dust off with water as long as it seems safe to do
This inspired me to clean behind/under my bed and wash my mattress protector, so thank you for that! Led to an amazing night's sleep ☁ Also, where did you find the blue sweatsuit you are wearing? It looks so comfy!
For cleaning small nooks and crannies like your toaster you may want to try those cans of compressed air like the ones used for cleaning keyboards 🤷🏻♀️
I put makeup powders into a resuable plastic bag (like sandwich bag) so powder doesnt get into my makeup case. Annnd when i use the powder, i can place it on the plastic bag to keep the bench clean and then wipe the bag afterwards if I need to.
One thing I like doing when cleaning out my makeup case, is when it’s clean, lay down kitchen roll on the bottom of the drawers. Less to clean that way
You can keep a cotton pad with micellar water on it next to you while doing your makeup. That way you can wipe your fingers before you pickup a new product.
my tip for not getting makeup/product on the outside of your makeup’s packaging is to keep a little cloth on the side while youre doing your makeup to wipe your fingers clean, you can buy multiple so youre not constantly having to wash a single one (if youre in a pinch though makeup wipes or wet wipes work just as well albeit less eco-friendly) the same goes for applying skincare
As a rule I wash bedsheets and pillow cases 1x per week and I was my duvet and mattress cover 1x per season but I’m not sure if that’s considered enough
Haven’t tried this, but I wonder if you could use a hairdryer or a pressurized air can to push those crumbs out of the nooks and crannies of the toaster
I also have a Owala water bottle but I did put coffee in it and it smells like coffee still I’ve let it soak with white vinegar and water does anyone know how I can get that smell away 😢😢😢😢😢😢 would the tablets work?
To keep my makeup clean I keep a refillable bottle of liquid hand sanitizer w each bag (at home and traveling) along with a microfiber cloth. I usually spray it down (along w mirrors) then wipe w cloth. I also spray my hands first then wipe w cloth & when I’m done I’ll toss the cloth into the laundry basket. If I’m traveling I use disposable towelettes.
10:13 I have fruit stickers on my water bottle! It looks so cute but with friction they get scratched and end up looking not so good... Still, it's the best collection that I have!
I‘m sb who puts make up with hands too. What I did is I had a cotton pad with micellar water next to me and cleaned of before I touched the next male up.
13:24 Switch to a couple of dedicated angled foundation brushes. You'll wonder why you didn't do so sooner as your fingers will remain clean. You can wash your brushes once a week with soap and water, let dry overnight. You're also less likely to contaminate your face or makeup by not using your fingers.

This is the kinda cleaning I do a week or so before my period. It’s considered “nesting” and a very real thing!
For the toaster, I recommend using air duster, which is used for the pc stuff cleaning. Looks like a spray, but it's just a compressed air.
