      Pets are like kids. LOL SOME of them behave differently for one owner than with the other. My son’s dog had to be left (every time) at the vet for a stupid nail trim because he would act like a fool if my son stayed with him. BUT... once, when he was out of town, his wife took him and the dog wasn’t even stressed at all; she didn’t have to even leave the room!

      That dogs owners wouldn't go a year without a bath, hair brushing or cut, so why do people think their dogs are cool with it?

    • @deepfriedmia
      @deepfriedmia 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      That's what I was thinking. Because when I say my dog doesn't like his head or feet messed with... I make sure to tell the groomer a muzzle works when cutting or brushing his legs/feet and ears. He bites. He can also pinch with his front teeth with the muzzle on. Lol. Needless to say... My dog gets regular at home hair cuts. Until a new groomer opens. I always warn them and they don't believe it until they groom him I guess. My dog is a sweet awesome dog... Until they get to his feet and head. He doesn't do this just to groomers, he does this to us as well. So we don't brush him much. We just keep his hair cut short. Easier to give frequent haircuts than brush daily.

    • @mackoons
      @mackoons 6 ปีที่แล้ว +129

      Breeds like the Cocker Spaniel and Old English Sheep dogs were bred to have the hair in front of their eyes actually. They can see just fine. The hair adds a protective layer from dirt and debris while the dogs are working.
      This poor boy in the video though... I agree, shameful that the owners let it get that bad. But sometimes extreme matting can happen fast and by accident. My long hair cat got herself into something(don't know what) that was sticky. Her entire belly was matted with in a few hours. Didn't know till i got home from work.

      The pet parent might be telling the truth. I've been grooming for over ten years, dogs and cats treat a vet or groomer different than they do their pet parents. My little persian kitty becomes a 5 pound demon if I even try to do any type of grooming to her. I've tried everything! I've had to have my coworkers or sisters groom her without me there(my twin and older sis are also groomers). Most of them were low income and considered their pets family... but with limited mobility; inability to drive as well as physical limitations with their range in motion. Volunteers were not allowed to aid them with transportation or pet health aside from reporting abuse. I would love to see orgs assist those with pets to ensure everyone’s needs are met. I can’t imagine the guilt knowing that you’re failing the little life that keeps you going. Ya know, if I can’t find a group that can assist maybe I’ll fund one.

    I've been grooming 12 years and it's always ppl that neglect their dogs that want to blame the groomer for issues underneath the matting. The dogs privates were probably so tangled and coated in poop and pee that they haven't had air get to them in quite some time. They can be raw or infected underneath. This can cause licking and scooting afterwards. I have seen dogs with a poop covered mat the size of a baseball covering the rectum, and when it's removed the skin is raw from being trapped under filth for months. Also, if the anal glands haven't been expressed for months they could be thick and irritated and unable to completely express. I usually have clients see the vet for an internal gland expression when the glands are so thick from neglect.
    To the people that are leaving comments about her not "talking to and petting" the dog; the more you excite the dog the harder it is to complete the groom safely. She's using sharp equipment on a living creature. Safety is the number one priority, especially when it's a new client you don't know. You can love on the dog after services are completed. When he's on the table it's more important to have a level demeanor. Most groomers I know reward the dog afterward because that is the appropriate and safe time to do so.

      @birdiest.pierre4804 6 ปีที่แล้ว +78

      I feel this. When you're handling an animal in a setting like this, it's safety first. When I handle my pets, I'm usually very affectionate- but I think the best example is my guinea pigs; if it's time for their nails to be trimmed, I'm quiet, firm, confident, and focused on what I'm doing, not fawning over them. That's why I've never quicked them, or failed to complete a nail trim on them. When you handle an animal with confidence and calm, it might seem cold to an outside viewer, but you're really minimizing the time that animal will be in a stressful situation, and making it safer for everyone involved.

      100% agree with you. She did pet and talk with the dog calling him a good boy a few times but her priority was his safety. Wonder how many people noticed how she would reach out or keep a hand on him when she would turn to get something from her work station to keep a point of contact for safety.

      Well Said Jessica. I remember rescuing a tiny Maltese and I thought the dog had a tumor on his anus so when I was just trying to wash that area to see what the little guy had going on, it turned out to be a freaking poop chute basically!! As he poo'd through the hair it added more and more to the end of the chute!! There was NO tumor (thank goodness) just freaking poop!! And when we got to the vet the morning I got him, they found infected areas of his skin under the worse matted areas and shaved him in those places only, gave me medication and told me to wash those areas with the medicated shampoo. Unfortunately, I had never had a long haired dog and didn't know when you wash them their hair and mats get tighter and tighter and they didn't mention it. I finally found a groomer with a heart of gold who when she heard how I came to have him and saw what he looked like offered to shave him completely for me for free when I was trying to get advice how to best help him. (I'd already paid quite a bit for the vetting and for his teeth to all be removed as they were rotted in his head, and for other expenses like blood work and all.) I had intended to find him a new home with a senior person who wanted a sweet tiny dog to love on cause he was a little sweetheart but unfortunately the blood work came back that his kidneys were bad. No one was interested in adopting a dog with medical problems in my area (this is before facebook) so I wound up keeping him and trying my best to give him the best quality life and medical care that I could for the time he was with me which was about 14 months.) I'll never forget that self centered, abusively neglectful owner that caused it all..... I still hate that guy for what he did to that little dog while claiming to love him!! Like I told the girlfriend who had was leaving the owner and gave me the dog to help as she couldn't take him, that if this is what the result of her boyfriend's love is, what does he do to creatures he hates!!

      Well said you lady know dogs and grooming , i want to give those people a goog shake among other things . This groomer has not damaged the dog at all , the owners did and should be prosecuted. I have had 3 maltese terriers and would feel all over them at night when they sat with me , if i found a knot i would get rid of it , snip into it with the scissers and tease out as much as possible ,a groomer many years ago taught me to do that , much better than letting it get bigger waiting for groom time . I would always brush and comb them every day . We owe it to our dogs that do not shed to keep them groomed and clean , they cant do it for themselves.

      I have a Cocker with a skin condition (last one left of 4) and sometimes even with regular grooming they just need a good buzz cut to start again. It grows. It’s not the worst thing. If my groomer said they had to do it I would trust their reasons. My 12.5 yr old needs it kept short to let her skin breathe. Their coat dries faster and they don’t start to smell as quickly. I would take the benefit to my pet’s health over the style any day.

    Dede, I've been grooming for 36 years and its amazing the stuff people come up with that's your fault! Years ago had a cat I had to shave and told her ahead of time and showed the comb example. I even had a witness who heard me. When she left I had the feeling she was going to be difficult (the owner, not the cat!). I kept all the mats. It was an entire cat mat. Of course she stopped her check and I was irritated so I took her to small claims court. When the judge asked me for proof I was so glad I kept the "cat mat". I like your video proof idea though. Esp when its a new client that you don't know.
    Also, you are so light handed with the clippers you couldn't have burned him.
    I really enjoy your videos.

    I have a few suspicions that I would like to voice. And yes there are people like this. I have seen it quite a few times. #1 When someone does something that they can not deny and they know they are guilty (in this case neglecting the dog) and there is proof of such (Dede being a groomer, has seen the neglect and has video of it) the very first thing they do is try to distract the neglect off of themselves and on to someone else .If they distract people enough they feel they wont be recognized as a neglector. Dede is the target because she is the one with the proof. # 2 There are people who go business to business and complain about the services in order to get discounted services or even to get the service for free. They cannot do this to the same service provider very often. So its on to the next one. I actually tend to think this is the case because if you remember, at the beginning,a comment was made about how hard it was to find a good groomer. The owner sited that he didnt like the puffy special cuts. That is not a groomers fault. That is the fault of the owner for not making it clear to begin with. And so there is the discounted or free groom and on to the next. Sorry I get really heated about things like this and I tend to write out a book

      Kellye Raiborn At the very end Dede said they needed to take the dog to the vet because he was licking and getting after his butt. The female owner tried to make it into something Dede did. The cut was too short, the shampoo irritated him... but the reality is the dog’s coat was in crap condition and he needed it tended to a lot sooner than when Dede saw him. So he probably had irritation and pain from the mats that had been removed. It also felt strange. They need to take responsibility for their dog and 1. Get him groomed much more frequently 2. Do what he needs done at home.

      I have two little floofy dogs and a move is being contemplated. And what will I do shortly before the move- like a month before or less? You got it...I'm gonna take them down as short as the weather will allow (with extra clothing on them) and then immediately send my blades out for sharpening so they're back before the move- the big short haired dogs and the little ones will be bathed the week before while I shower myself, then flea preventative when all dry. That way it is another two- three months before they need another cut and if I think I'll be too busy to do a comb through of anything, everything that I am unwilling to brush will go down ultra short. That is a month to concentrate on packing and another month or two to settle in to the new home enough to know where my grooming stuff is (and I have a big case like a briefcase but much taller that I keep all the clippers (corded and cordless with all accesories, oil, blade brushes, blades, cooling spray, blade wash, scissor kit, and all essential grooming tools in....including an extra set of combs and a brush. If I can't find anything else grooming wise (like bows and floofy stuff and scissors and the like) but I can find that rather large case....I'm good to go for a groom! AND the blades will be freshly sharp so I don't go to groom and find that my blades suck in a new location that I don't know well.
      Poor planning causes piss poor performance.....just gotta say. Don't go blaming it on someone that was trying to help you with your piss poor performance.

    I'm a groomer and deal with this constantly too. I normally take a ton of before, during, and after pics of matted dogs. The owners also have to sign a waiver releasing from responsibility of nicks or possible clipper burn from removing matted coats. Those are the risks of grooming a neglected dog. I had one client threaten to sue me. She started leaving negative reviews on my business page too-stating that I had balded her dog. I immediately posted those pics as proof of how badly matted her dog was. Other people saw them and immediately started attacking her for being a bad dog mom and trying to blame me for her lack of brushing her dog. Pictures and video are our protection from this. Great groom by the way! Looked great when he was done! :)

They now say fluffy so they dont have to use the word matted! I also have issues with pets that come in infested with fleas ! I will always treat for the pet first an then to prevent having problems in the salon an there have been some clients that try to say they pet either didn’t have fleas or they got them from our salon So I Now show them the video! Its usually because they dont want to be charged for matting or flea treatment! Love what i do But here in Louisana I feel that in this industry their needs to be more instructions for Home care that should be done an given to the parents ! Here quite a few salons are more interested in the register ringing an not the service ! I provide care & Love for their babies but I feel that in saying that my other job is to inform our clients what is best for their pets and the home care thats needs to be a part of loving them Also
      Its jus as important as feedin,walking ,vet care when loving your pets ! We are not able to do some of the clips to certain pets because of no instructions to the pet owner’s or Pet Owners that reject the information to help love and care for their Pets ! jus loving our fur babies in Louisana!

      We’ve had a little dog in my family ever since I was thirteen, (parents are divorced, lived with my mom till she moved to another country and I lived with the dog and my grandmother from age fifteen) I was still in school so I had no time to take care of my dog, then she was supposed to get her yearly shave (long haired) and I took her to the vet, I was so ashamed and heartbroken by what happened. She was so matted (especially on her legs) and the vet couldn’t find her paws under all the knots and curls. She accidentally CUT OFF one of her back leg declaws and she ended up with a few cuts also. I hated myself the moment she cried out dude! I brush her every week ever since.

I'm noticing a strange thing happening in Australia- surely it is happening in the U.S. too- people are complaining (claiming non-existing problems or damage) in an effort to get out of paying. I speak to a lot of people running small businesses, and this happens with some new clients. They think the small business owner isn't going to sue them or take them to the small claims court. I like the suggestions in the comments about red flag signs you noted, waiver forms, evidence kept for new clients (for a period of time) and video evidence. Strange how the dog reacted when the owner came to collect him.

      Milo Tan, this dog had been neglected. All pets need regular brushing to prevent mats from forming, but ESPECIALLY when they have this type of curly coat. It it isn't attended to by the owners, then the mats become huge and UN-brushable. Then it continues to mat further and further into the skin until the skin gets pulled, sore and even bloody. I've heard of dogs dying when their coats get so matted that the skin gets infected.
      Then, the owners bring their dog into the groomer and expect the groomer to be able to brush the mats out without ripping the skin and without shaving. It is impossible to do and shaving is usually the only thing a groomer can do to give the dog relief and allow a fresh start. Sadly, at this stage, to shave close enough to the skin to release the mats can cause skin irritation which the dog will often lick, scratch or rub, making the irritation worse. Also, the mats themselves can potentially rip the skin from constant pulling and when the dog is shaved, it exposes the sores. Often the sores are not caused by shaving, but instead were caused by the mats growing into the skin and constantly pulling. It is like ripping hair out by the roots.
      In this case, it appears that the owners blamed the groomer for the skin irritation, when it was actually their neglect that caused the problem.

      Yup. I love my little girl but since she doesn’t enjoy baths at home and it’s hard for me to do sugar her ass at the groomers. She enjoys her time there and it’s one of the things we do to show her we love her. I don’t not try to give her a bath because I don’t love her, but for some reason she doesn’t want to go in my tub but loves to be at the groomers. I’m not knocking what works.

      So true. Such a great dog lovers... That poor dog is so badly matted, i really can't believe what that pet mama was saying about his grooming, "oh it's couple of months late because we were moving and blaablaablaa mumblingmorebullshit etc etc." couple months??? Well yeah, if couple means 6+ months. And if that owner doesn't do any basic grooming at home. Seriously, if you own a dog, you have to do basic grooming, and if you do it regularly there won't be any matted fur.

    What a good boy! You did NOTHING wrong! The only "abuse" I see here is OWNER NEGLECT. Such a shame because what you said from "dads" words is he cant find a good groomer to do the whole dog- he just found one- but then threw it all away with his allegations. Good thing you film your grooms as evidence.
    Maybe the dog isnt the problem- seems like his "dad" is..... Any irritation he may be experiencing is probably from where the skin was being pulled where the fur was matted. He seems like he does need his anal glands expressed though. (Most groomers normally do that as a courtesy everywhere I've been)- especially with that butt scoot. But all in all a very good groom- he did pretty good especially for as matted as he was.

    • @catherinetodd
      @catherinetodd 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It wasn't "his" allegations; I believe it was the woman who called and made the appointment. "He" brought the dog in and said "all one length, no special cut." Don't blame him, who you call "Dad."
      I agree Dede did a good job and nothing wrong. Can't believe she got blamed for something that never happened. Video makes a lot of sense.

Obviously, explaining the shave/groom of this pet afterwards to the owners fell on deaf ears.***** You did a fantastic job Dede!***** I thought his anal glands needed to be expressed. I have even seen some dogs matted booties or not. There in the anal cavity is irritating or grows inward and has to be cleaned out. The true fact he had two extra tails matted with his bobbed tail. Surprising he didn't have an infection. Truth or Karma?!!?

    Incredible how someone can't be bothered to brush their dog, causes their dog to suffer due to the pain of matting, then has the nerve to blame you when their dog has complications from being so matted! Sorry that you had to deal with that! I wish people who didn't want to brush a dog wouldn't get a breed that needs significant coat maintenance. I feel like a lot of these doodles have an even higher level of maintenance involved than a purebred Poodle!

I was beyond pissed, i was tired from traveling and had to spend over an hour grooming him when its usually less than 10 min. Dog gets a clipper rash as we had to shave an area close due to matting, owner accuses us of damaging teh dogs skin, when the reality is, They were the ones who neglected the dogs coat in the first place and put him in a situation where he had to be shaved so short. Dogs get clipper rashes just like humans can when shaved!

    At our job, if the pet is matted we have the owners sign a release form stating that they are aware of the pet’s condition and what the possibilities could happen - irritation from the mats themselves or removal of the mats, nicks, etc. And when mats are so tight and finally removed, oxygen is finally being exposed to that delicate skin and blood flow starts pumping to that sensitive area. So of course the pet will react. We’ve been through a similar situation before and thank GOD for phones and proof. It grinds my gears when we get blamed for situations like this for example when we educate the owners prior to the grooming of the possibilities that could occur with excessive matting. Humanity before vanity!

      I don't think this dog has been brushed since the LAST time he was groomed. The "we were moving" excuse isn't anything but an excuse. In those 2 months I'm sure there was at least 5 minutes a week to TRY and brush him. If you can't manage the upkeep don't get a breed of dog that needs to be brushed frequently. If you absolutely have to have that type of dog and don't have the time there is ALWAYS a local teenager you can convince to brush your dog for $20 a week. Or at least take him to a groomer and let them do it.

      She was talking about this dog. After she shave the matts off the dogs rear end he started plopping his but down and butt scooting most likely due to the new feeling of not being so matted up. The owner of the dog then tried to claim it was Dede's fault and that she must have shaved the dog too close, or that it must have been the shampoo she used. It sounds to me like the owner just can't accept the fact that their negligence and lack of proper care for their dog was the cause of it and tried to pin the blame to someone else to avoid taking responsibility for their actions. I see it happen everywhere, not just with animals.

    Professional groomer here (with over 35 years of experience with both show and pet dogs (cats). I clicked on your video because of the title. Yes, I 100% agree. dogs that are matted or dogs that have a lot of hair on the rear, or quite often on the ear leather. Will have that area(s) clipped short (because a shorter trim is desired, and/or because of matted hair). Many dogs will feel "AIR" on an area that has not felt air before or has not been so breezy for months before... This can make some dogs weird about the new sensation. Then that dog can become obsessed with rubbing or licking the area. Heck, some of my own Airedales (and standard poodles) when fuzzy for a time and then they are taken "short" will spend a few hours or a day acting like a goof-ball over the "new' feeling of exposure. Some personalities (dogs) feel "exposed" and they don't know what to do. The owner needs to baby-sit the dog a bit and encourage the dog to get over it. The dog should be told to leave the area alone, and then directed into play. You need to help your dog realize that he/she is okay and everything in "normal". This is NOT your fault (as I'm sure you know) the owner is 100% in the wrong. First of all the owner(s) are the ones that never bother to brush & comb their own dog. (If you don't want to brush your own dog then pay a groomer to groom your dog more often.) Secondly, the owner should have spent the time to listen to what you were trying to communicate to them when they picked up the dog. And finally, they should have helped the dog to work through the new hair-cut and the emotions and sensations. Happy grooming.

      @13thMaiden 6 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      Not only that, but due to the matting I bet the anal glands were probably full, butt scooting is also a response to get the anal glands to release when stuffed. With all those mats he had, he had to have been retaining, if not just having poo filled ones rubbing on his skin too, irritating the area. I'm annoyed with some of these people all 'oh the blades were hot!' and junk, had the blades been hot, then the dog could have kept reacting as she didn't change the blades between the butt cutting and the back leg. >P

      13thMaiden do groomers release the anal glands or how does that work?

    • @13thMaiden
      @13thMaiden 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@JennsCorner777 There's 2 ways to express anal glands. Most groomers do external expression, in which they squeeze the anal glands from the outside, (vets can do it internally). Unless asked to or there is a fishy, icky stinky smell around the backside, groomers won't. I always ask my groomer or vet (depending who I'm visiting) to do it for my toy poodle since curly hair like theirs can make it harder for them to express on their own.

    Preach it sista! When I had my salon I had a surveillance system that recorded on a loop, and I purposefully set up a camera to record my grooming. I had a client come in with a completely pelted dog, a shih tzu qho had spent 3 months in a kennel. He was so matted, probably one of the worst I've ever seen. Anyway, the owner accused me of leaving the dog on the table and walking away, allowing the dog to jump off and hang himself, damaging his eyes, which bloodshot after leaving the salon. I showed her the footage of her dog, not only did I never leave his side but I didn't even use the loop on him. Your work is fantastic!!!

    • @14Raine14
      @14Raine14 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @RobinI didnt notice how his eyes looked coming in because I couldn't see them. The one was noticeably red about an hour after I finished his face, and the owner told me the other eye went red at home over the next 12 hours. When she went to the vet he said the dog was likely hung (of course I had video showing otherwise) the vet then called me, as i know him well, to ask what happened or if i noticed anything, and when i told him the condition his face was in and how much stress the dog was in while i was grooming him, he then looked to the owner to ask why she would allow her shih tzu to go 4 months in a kennel with a full coat and then expect nothing to be wrong with the dog
      The other dog, a female shih tzu, was just as matted but was a much more confident dog, so I'm guessing the kennel staff were able to keep her face more clean.
      anyway, long story short, the owner blamed me of hanging the dog and i had proof otherwise. I also had documentation on his condition and how stressed he was throughout the groom, how many breaks the poor guy needed and all the rest

    I am a licensed veterinary technician and you did not hurt or injure that animal in any way!!! The owner is however GUILTY of neglect with out a doubt! I am so sorry. Its crazy when owners bring in an OBVIOUSLY neglected animal, literally covered in mats right down to the skin and they expect a show quality result when they come pick the animal up. They are honestly delusional, I'm sorry you had to deal with that. This is unfortunately a problem when you are the best in the business hun. Thanks for sharing and keep up the awesome work 😉😉😉😉
    PS: I would bet $1000.00 the veterinarian already explained it to her that this was due to HER NEGLECT and you can see the difference between a clipper burn and/or the animal chewing due to the removal of extreme mats that are results of clear neglect.

Never once did he whine or yip or even startle like he was hurt. And you could tell he was enjoying it. He wanted the get down and run around, but not because he didn’t like being groomed. Or you were hurting him. His bottom probably did feel weird afterward, but not because of any injury. I’m glad they took him to the vet, just to be on the safe side. I’d do the same if my pup was acting weird too. And better safe than sorry. But he wasn’t injured or hurt. And he didn’t have a reaction to the shampoo either, otherwise it would be all over him, not just his hiney. I hope he got used to the hair cut in a couple of days, and everyone calmed down. Nowadays we all have to be vigilant about CYA. No matter what you do for a living.

      I got the feeling a couple times that the trimmer was tickling him some, but yeah, that was not a dog in distress.

    If hurting the dog is to be questioned, then the award goes to the owner, not brushing the dog in the first place.

    As a pet sitter of twenty years, I have always done my job as though I were being filmed and audio recorded. Back at the beginning, it wouldn't have been a common thing, but now a lot of people have cameras to watch their pets or as part of a home security system. As Dede says, the proof is right there in the video. As for me, I think the cameras are great.

      Yes!!!! When I was young and would babysit my mom said, always behave like the parents can see you, and that's always stuck with me. I think it's a really good way to be professional and do a good job. I think the cameras now are a good way to show you're doing a good job, and cover yourself from people accusing you, like these pet owners are doing.

    One more thing! Do these owners not pet this dog? I rub my fingers through my dogs hair and give them really good scratches. It looked like thete was matting on 100% of his body! I don't understand.

    • @MonsieurLeScoob
      @MonsieurLeScoob 6 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      They probably just rub him once in a while or something. And of course he didn’t want anyone messing with his ears! They must have hurt so much with those mats on them. Those things are heavy!

    She changed to a new blade at 18:00 and then shaved the dogs tail at 21:45 only 3 and a half mins later.. so it’s not like she didn’t change the blade in a timely manner. In my opinion I think the Matt was soooooo close to the skin (in a private area) that after she shaved it his butt was raw and irritated. The pet parents even admitted they were a few months behind in getting him groomed. They shouldn’t of waited so long and then he wouldn’t of been matted this bad for something like that to happen.

    • @dazzads859
      @dazzads859 6 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Netterz in that amount of time, with the condition that coat was in, matted and dirty..that blade EASILY would've been too hot. I guarantee it. He reacted when his groin was being shaved before she even got to his bum. THAT is the truth. If I ran a 10 blade for that long thru matted dirty hair and then scraped it across a sensitive part of your bday you would react the same way. Trust me. I know what I'm talking about. And other groomer who knows what they're doing would say the same.

    • @jchess28
      @jchess28 6 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      @@dazzads859 Agreed. Why was she not using cooling spray on the blade in matted hair? I understand she changed blades but not often.
      I love her for being honest about the pros and cons of different aspects of grooming, this video just seemed to overlook a bit of finesse due to frustration at how the owners treated the coat.

    • @dazzads859
      @dazzads859 6 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      jchess I have no idea. If I was grooming that dog I would've been spraying my blade literally every few minutes. Probably a few dozen times while I shaved it completely. And I would have bathed the dog and then CAREFUL shaved the bum while it was wet. And I wouldn't crank it's tail back and drag the blade over its butt hole 🙈

    Daaang the butt rub must have felt great for him! Who knows how long its been since he could do that! Imagine you not being able to do something as simple as scratching your booty because you got a lot of hair around ya ass...(just an example..i hope this is not the case for anyone..that would be shitty...no pun instended;) ...we, as humans can do something about it but a pet dog? An animal thats relied on us since he was a pup? They have no control of that hair growth like we do ours. As a pet owner you must treat your pet almost like your own child...especially by way of health and hygene. This is so bitter sweet. Glad your were able to HELP this couple and got rid of the matting. Im sorry pup..you got bad owners...wasnt your fault.

    I see nothing wrong you did. He looks great and I am sure feeling so much better! If the owner is speaking of a little razor burn, that can even happen to us while shaving our own legs, face whatever... So you put a little aloe or cream of their choice. And if not so matted would not have to been shaved so close! I think it is great you film all your work! Good job!!

    I don’t see what the owners were complaining about as I agree with you he just felt his but for the first time in ages. Miss Cloud Chaser the thing is, most people can afford a brush or comb at least, even if it's an old human brush. If it gets to this long then people should at the very least try cut their fringe and beard at home so they can see and don't get food and dirt stuck in their beard. If people can not afford to take high maintenance dogs to go get groomed or at least try do the minimum of cutting their facial hair or giving them a shorter cut in summer, then they should not get high maintenance dogs.

    • @Brynwyn123
      @Brynwyn123 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Miss Cloud Chaser pets are not a right, they are a privilege. If you can't look after them, don't have them. It's the same with people who let their cats outside because 'its natural and they'll be bored indoors!'. If you can't be bothered to spend enough time with your cat that they won't be bored, don't get a cat. Still, better a bored cat than a dead cat, or one suffering because they were hit by a car and didn't immediately die (look up the cat serial killer that turned out to be foxes feeding on roadkill cats)
