- Today I finally received the guts to reveal to you all.. my wolf therian vocals! I will be showing you my howls, growls, whines and bark/barkhowls. I will also add an explanation as to why wolves make these vocals, in which situations I use them and why, and how you could try it yourself!

Very vocal therians always astonish me, they sound so real. Its distinct from most professional actors because these noises tend to come from genuine expression rather than trying to convey a character. There's such a difference I love it.

I was practicing my vocals and my neighbor’s dogs actually came over to greet me and I felt so happy and fulfilled
Me too! My dog always starts whining and wagging his tail when I do vocals! Also, when dogs like you slowly it means they accept you as a part of their pack:) I start getting really connected when he licks me slow!
I was doing quadrobics with a few dogs, and they literally thought I was one😂 it was so sweet 🥲

So for growls, I'm a girl, but I've been growling my whole life, so I've managed to get my voice low enough to rip out a realistic growl straight from my vocal chords. I haven't met any other girls that use this technique, so if you can, please let me know!
lol same. My family is very animalistic, and we growl at each other (and the dog) all the time and I've been growling since I was a child. I tend to use my false chords to growl like metal singers use to do false chord screaming/growling.
I'm really good at growls, been doing it sence I was about 5 and I love it

the growl was so realistic! and not embarrassing at all! it looked really cool like an actual wolf's muzzle would shift to angrier aggression when they growl.

I tend to have a much lower set of vocals, it just feels natural. One time, I was doing vocals and the neighbors dogs began barking back, it made me so happy, just hearing it. My grandma's dog always comes to howl with me when I'm doing vocals, too :>
I'm a timber wolf therian and I for some reason had the extreme instinct to howl back😭
When I heard that howl I literally felt my ears perk up and just a really odd feeling overcome me.
I have never tried out the growling with my chest tho... My father gets so annoyed if he hears me growl (not knowing about therians) and some of my friends in school have looked at me wierdly. I just can't help it though to playfully growl or actually growl when I am really angered or annoyed.
I admit that I don't vocalise too much when it comes to whining but it does happen once in a while.
I don't bark. No. Barking. I can't even if I tried. It just turns out to be a half whine. oh wait I did bark once when I felt something bad was coming and I was trying to warn my friends. Oop, you just mentioned that...

I was so excited when I saw this in my notifications haha. That whine was AMAZING. About the lip pulling back when whining, it's super cool how you notice that!! Dogs also do that when very stressed (a lot of people think it's a doggy smile, but it's actually a lot of negative tension on the sides of mouth.) Wolves and dogs also whale eye when stressed, so if you catch yourself with wide eyes when stressed or scared, it could be instinctual depending on the situation! Loved the video, and thanks for showing us your vocals despite being a bit timid ^^ ♡

Ur growl is 10 times better then mine. Mine is kind of high pitch lmao. I do growl and howl and sometimes bark tho especially around one of my friends who do the same lots like me.

You’re way better at wolf vocals than me. My theriotypes are cat, wolf and angler, I’m really good at cat vocals but I’m not so good with wolf ones and I don’t know what angler fish sound like

As an extreme vocalist, I really want to ask if you use false vocal cords to growl?
The growling I heard in this video sounds more forced and painful than screams in metal music.
Do you feel pain or any sort of discomfort when you make these sounds?
Sounds like you are forcing your vocal cords and blowing them with high air pressure.
Even though you said it natural for you, are you completely relaxed when you growl?

Im a british Columbian wolf therian who just came out as therian yesterday!!!!! My parents where suportive and agreed to get me wolf therian gear!!!! So I've been binge watching quadrobic tutorials and vocal tutorial!!! When you howled I had the urge to howl back!!! Amazing!!!!

I generally have some instinctual vocals, mostly if I hear another wild animal, like a coyote howling, but I have to suppress it, since I feel awkward and uncomfortable to do it unless I'm outside far from others.

If any of you are looking for books that express or explain your therotype I recommend A Wolf Called Wander..as it portrays the life of OR-7 (don't know for sure what wolf it was but uh yeah) in the back of the book it tells about wolves and other animals such as Elk, deer, ect

I avoid growling because I invariably scare the humans around me. Though a time or two, that’s been a lifesaver: someone was aggressing and I let a growl fly. It tends to hit them in the lizard brain.
I'm a common kestrel and a golden sunrise fox but I still howl because for me it's a good stress relief think

I don't know if I'm a therian, but I do howls, growls, hisses, meows sometimes, whenever I'm angry I'll growl or hiss, when I'm sad I do a sad meow, and when I'm happy I'll do meows, and my eyes will widen. My brother's have a bunk bed and since my brother's are currently away from camp, I continuesly go onto the top bunk, crawl around, pounce on the pillow, and look over the railing, it just feels I'm on top of a mountain and I feel so comfortable... (Okay now that I said all this I might be a therian-)

Omg, when u use ur hands to form a muzzle while u growl makes that also louder and scarier maybe it's just for me but I couldn't dod it without the muzzle
Yeah, dogs and wolves having muzzles actually makes their growl and howl sound unique so when humans make a muzzle shape around their mouth and nose like that of a wolves muzzle, we can get much better sounding canine vocals
I have always had to hide my therian side, and I feel a lot of pain about doing so, but I see these people who are not afraid, and I feel happy.

My best friend who is also a therian lives at the very edge of the city, and there is a dirt hill nearby. My friend is a fox, but she still howls with me sometimes (my theriotypes are grey wolf and raven). once we were howling during the late afternoon and we actually got a response from a very distant area

I have a couple different barks and growls, for the growling, i have a more playful growl and a more "hey quit that! " or "back off" growl and for the barking, again i have a deeper more rough "back off! " bark and a higher more "oml! Playyyy! " or even an excited bark occasionally slips out XD

okay but this just reminded me of when me and my family (of four) went for a walk and it was really dark and i thought 'what if i just howled' so i did and my family started howling with me it was amazing XD i havent told them i am therian but i hope to one day but im glad we all had fun would definaitly do that again XD

I've always been able to do impressions of My Little Pony Pinkie since I was a kid. When I have shifts to that fictotype I, one of the things I tend to do are more squeaky vocal stims [like: "eep!" Especially if I accidentally bump into a table or something. I'm very clumsy unfortunately]. I also get the urge to quote her alot. I usually shift before I realize I'm in a shift.
