I’d even argue that this sentiment extends into inclusive circles.
Since therianthropy is still something most leftist figures won’t even acknowledge.
For example when conservatives were acting like schools were installing litter boxes and saying that children were identifying as cats, most leftists who spoke up on the matter would be like “No, furries aren’t saying they’re animals” while acting as if therians don’t exist.

ive always felt like an nimal since i was a kid, "mom look! I can walk on four legs!!" "Mom buy me this tiger costume, please" or even saying "Dad i think i see better in the dark" I've always felt a special connection to tigers since i was little, and kinda felt like one. finding the therian community was the best thing ever.

It's actually quite scary how much attention the therian community is getting in my personal opinion. I kind of liked when we were less known, now we're getting trolls who are pretending to be therians making videos that are literally getting millions of views and politicians talking about litter boxes in bathrooms ( though I realize that was about furries, it technically does apply to us, and if they were to find out that therians/otherkins do in fact exist it could give us even more negative attention )
It's really unfortunate - but the bright side is that the hate and attention comes in pretty large waves, usually when there's a new group of younger therians just hitting high school age. It was a big thing on tumblr for a long time - to make mocking posts and bully people for being alterhuman, and while it's unfortunate that a similar thing is happening to tiktok, it's something the community's been through before. The litter box thing is dumb, though, and was a harmful talking point against trans people. :(

I personally only found out I'm a therian because of its growth in popularity! I have been a therian since I was a young child(I believed and still believe my soul was placed in the wrong body) but only recently learned that I am a couple months ago

For a while I was fat shamed and called fatherless for expressing I was a therian. I did quadrobics for a while and people said I sucked at it cuz I was overweight, it really sucked. I can’t comprehend why people hate us for just expressing ourselves. There is no reason to tell someone to unalive themself because they are a therian :/

im a pigeon/domestic cat therian, and seeing people being called fatherless for who they are is just... outrageous to me.
i never expressed the fact im a therian to ANY of my friends, because of people like those who call others fatherless. i dont want to be seen as "cringe", "fatherless", or anything else like that, especially by my friends.
I WANT to tell that im a therian, but i know some of my best friends wouldnt accept me for that. they'd probably just let me down.
i feel very embraced by my family, i didnt tell them i was a therian, but around my dads i feel really welcomed, its wholesome. i really feel a mental shift whenever im being hugged, taken care of or anything else like that... that's also how i discovered that i may of been a therian this whole time.
anytime i find a topic i relate to, i think im immediately making up something in my mind, that im just searching for attention, trying to fit in etc, when in reality, that's false. many people say "just be yourself", but its not that easy for me personally.
im in france, and france is not that welcoming to... people who are out of the norm. its either you're agressive, or you mostly won't pass. that mostly applies to school and "streets"/hoods how we call them.

I would personally tell them and if they don’t like me, I would drop them as a friend. If they don’t like you for who you are, then they don’t deserve you.
But this is just what I would do, I’m sure everyone feels differently about this. In fact, this is what I did.

That’s wonderful!! I hope you had/have a great time!! Where I live the forests have a lot of poison ivy, poison oak, and sumac so its kind of difficult to go on a walk. But if you you go on a trail or manage to find an area that doesn’t have too much it’s absolutely beautiful.

Note for other domestic dog therians! If you find it disphoric to sleep in a regular bed then it might help to sleep on the floor in a blanket/pillow pile to imitate a dog bed! (This is just what works for me if it doesn't for you that's alright)

I’m not a therian but I’ve considered it a lot. I think it’s so cool and fascinating and I wish I could be like you guys. It seems so freeing to truly be able to be yourself and walk on all fours (not that all therians do that) and have a whole identity of who you’re supposed to be but I feel like there’s a big line between wanting to be an animal and being an animal though which really sucks in my case. I would never want to disrespect y’all but I would love to try out the spiritual and quadrobics aspects, although I know it’s more than just that. I feel strongly spiritually connected to this orange cat in my dreams since I was little and tend to be a cat magnet in my real life, but I can’t tell if that’s a coincidence or not.
hihi therian here, I would recommend looking into other therian idenities such as animalhearted or otherhearted. theres alot of labels in the therian community so I recommend ruling those out before deciding your just a human. and you can still do quadrobics without being a therian! quads weren't made specifically for therians, they've just become a staple of our community. (but then again you can be a therian and not do quads, and other way around). And for the connection to the orange cat thing, it might be a indicator that you could be a non-human idenity but then again, connections aren't everything. you have to have "non-human" experiences too, a few common ones are mental shifts or phantom shifts.
I went out to the beach today and I went near the sea and brang my therian gear with my siblings I started doing quaudoblics(idk if I spelt that right) I was jumping in the sea and on the sand then my siblings started doing it with me and this family was staring at me and I didn’t know if they where judging me or they thought it was cool but if they were judging me I didn’t let that stop me being myself and being more connected to my therian type

I got introduce to therianthropy through TikTok, where I thought it looked cool. I did more research into it and I found my way here. I’m still learning and won’t identify yet, but I feel there’s something there… if that’s the right way to explain it. I love your content, and I’ll keep researching, and learning! ❤
No. I’m not a therian, that doesn’t stop me from trying to connect with nature, wearing gear, doing quadrobics, and watching therian territory. It also doesn’t stop me from defending and loving the therian community, and trying my best to understand them.

I love your videos! Because of one of your older videos of saying what a therian is when I was younger and how to find out you are one, I started my research and found I am one myself! I am so glad I came across your content when I was a little younger than now and I now help some of my friends figure out if they are one too and some family (With helping them with their research)

9:13 I wear a jaguar onsie and sometimes even a jaguar mask considering my therian type (What I call it) is a jaguar. It helps me connect to the wild and makes me feel at home! I actually have memories of being a jaguar too! Ever since I was young, I rathered crawling than waling, even when I learned to walk. I growl, hiss and roar. I did all this and sometimes out of my control! I did all these even before knowing what a therian was! Whne I learned, I found out I was a jaguar therian 😊😸

Can we take a second to admire how polite Thorn is when correcting something? I’ve seen so many therians who will freak out about these kind of things, and I like how calm they are.
The yarn tails take practice! And a specific type of yarn to be puffy. I had that type of yarn, but sadly my tail broke, and I need more yarn cuz the yarn I used was a purple type color

My therian type is a (possibly domestic) ferret. I just want to point out something domestic ferrets do when exited/happy. The weasel war dance. Pretty much they just hop and flail around. Now, wild ferrets, weasels, and some others use the weasel war dance as a hunting tactic. So, if trying to race after their prey won’t work, they go nuts which confuses the prey. Then, they inch closer before attacking. Some day this summer I’m just going to go out, and go crazy. And there’s a piece of knowledge for you. :)
It often happened to me that I growled or hissed at people. I'm glad that I now have a best friend who is a Therian too and who supports me. When we do something together, we often have shifts at the same time and now I can enjoy being a Therian.

Is it possible to have two theriantypes of the Same species? Example: Coastal wolf and Indian wolf?
And, 2nd question, how do I know for sure I’m a therian?
Last question: is it possible for your favorite animal to be your theriantype? I’ve thought my theriantype (I think) was my favorite animal for 2-4 years. During those years I’ve done much research. And when I was younger I acted as a “wolfpup”

I know I'm not thorn but I can answer these if that's okay!
1. I guess so. If you feel like there's definitely a difference between your experiences with each theriotype, then I would say yes. Or if you have different theory's for each theriotype (Ex: the costal wolf was because of reincarnation, the Indian wolf from imprinting) then most likely yes
2. Since therianthropy is an involuntary identity, if you feel like your experiencing it involuntarily and it's intertwined with your identity, your probably a therian. It's down to you as to what your lable yourself as though.
3. Yes it is possible. Be careful though if your trying to discover theriotypes. Having a bias for a certain animal can make it tricky to see if that animal is actually you. Though from my experience, plenty of therians find their theriotypes to be one of their favorite animals

@@TeenagedRat I took the idea from a video of someone making cat tail keychains with pom poms so I thought I'd try scaling it up. Currently I don't have the right colors of yarn though so I haven't made mine yet.

I am a cat and otter therian, and seeing the therian community get so many pretending they are therian sucks. Bening a therian isn't a fun trend were you jump on all fours and wear a mask, that is a sport, an exercise anyone can do not just theirans. But being a therian means you feel spiritually, past life, ect in some way connected to a animal(s). Quadrobics are something that you do to feel closer to your theriotype, but it will never make you a therian. Quads don't = therian it's just a excise or sport you do, nor does gear. Wearing a cat mask will never, NEVER make you a theiran. You're just wearing a mask, and wearing a mask running on all fours once again is a sport yet you just have a mask. Like thorn said, you don't gotta do quads to be a therian or wear gear, It's just plain upsetting seeing how many fake it for views, yet we're over here suffering. So, anyone questioning being a therian, you don't have to have gear or quads. If thats all you think it is, then you're most likely not a therian. You just like the sport.
Correct. Only thing I'd comment is thar therianthropy is also not inherently equal to a connection. It's an involuntary experience that you base and identity on. You can have any kind of connection with an animal without being a therian, and if you are a therian you don't even need a connection to the animal
