If I were to buy this set, the first modification I would make is to the E-Wing cockpit. I would eschew the hidden compartment and utilize that space to make the pilot figure be sitting deeper. I can't stand it when pilots are practically laying on their backs and looking up instead of forward.
The second would be to conceal the astromech within the ship, or failing that just get rid of it. Because in e wings the astromech isn’t poking out like a lot of other starship designs, it’s inside the ship.

Actually, that's an optional trait among E-Wings, at least in the actual canon that Filoni rips off.

Same here man. As cool as the hidden compartments are it's not worth having the mini figures essentially laying on their back to pilot the ship. It's way worse with Shin's Starfighter, she might as well take a nap while in that position lol.
I honestly love the double ship sets. There awesome for siblings and adults,that like to make fight Scenes and mocs with them. I would 100% add this to my collection

They could just release each set separately, each for half the price. You could buy ten both for the same price and people who only like one ship only have to buy one
When Shin’s Starfighter has more space to store minifigures than Ahsoka’s shuttle💀

The minifigures of this Ahsoka wave are just spectacular. The printing for a lot of the characters is just awesome and there’s so much variety in terms of color among these characters and also the ships. Rip Rey Stevenson, I can’t wait to see his work in Ahsoka.
Whoever designed this ship clearly loves and listens to the fans plenty of storage for extra parts and even a fig, retractable landing gear and good clean designs good job lego this is a good set.
For this one I went ahead and ordered two transparent neon orange lightsaber pieces, as well as a brown and black cape, plus a brown and black hood pieces to make Shin and Baylan more accurate to what we see in the trailers.
Bro please tell me where I can buy these pieces, I defo also need the orange lightsabers and hoods

I love the idea of the 2 ship sets, but I wish they sold them separately and in a pack (maybe the pack could have an extra minifig or something to add insensitive). Because for both of these sets I love one ship (the interceptor and e-wing) and just don't really like and/or care about the other.
Yeah also, both these builds look to be about the quality $30-$35 builds (obi wans starfighter or pirate snub fighter) including minifigs so it should be a $65 - $70 set yet it is a massive $110 price

@@Vor1ki yeah... $40-$45 Per ship seems more in line with things like the most recent TIE or ATT, maybe $50 for a bigger one like tie interceptor. It seems like a good $10 of the price is extra minifigs on the Ewing and Shens tho.
This one and the ghost are definitely the must-buys of this year. Edit: the ghost far surpasses any other set I've seen from Star Wars this year though. Hope the Venator doesn't dissapoint like the gunship lol
Arguably the gunship as well, i mean I personally love the set and it has some pretty cool figures

I would love to have the E-wing and Tie interceptor. Also E-wing have third blaster cannon at the top of the cockpit, 3 cannons in a shape of E, that´s why it´s called the E-Wing.
I really like the E-Wing with the landing gear. Just looks great. And the color scheme on the Shin's Starfighter is very refreshing although it's not as great a display piece imo. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but I might honestly get this at some point.
The more reviews I see the more I love this set, especially the E-wing

One complaint I have about this new LEGO E-Wing is that there's no cover to hide the droid that includes the top mounted laser cannon.
As in the original source material from Legends, the E-Wing Starfighter had a fully enclosed compartment for the R7 Astromech Droid to be located in, and along with the wing-mounted laser cannons, there's a third cannon mounted on the top of the craft, located in a slightly recessed area just behind the cockpit.
I noticed they didnt have the top cannon as well, maybe it's a change theyve made in the new canon to omit that
@@garettbrown1131 If I remember right, in the trailer that shows the E-Wing, it shows a shot of an R2-series Astromech, where it in-fact does have the top mounted laser cannon. But now, the droid has a open top slot, set farther back from the top mounted laser cannon.
The E-wing looks okay, I’d modify the cockpit to sit lower, add the third cannon on top of the canopy and extend the nose Of the ship, maybe a sharper point to it than smooth slopes.
To be fair, if memory serves me correctly, the ships from Destiny, like the E-Wing, is inspired by Battlestar Galactica fighter ships

I actually got the E-Wing on its own from an eBay seller. I love the design but chose to leave the stickers off. It's really fun to just have minifig me sitting in the cockpit and my personal favorite R2 unit, R8-B7 in the droid socket.

Think I'm looking forward to this the most out of all the Ahsoka sets
I set aside budget to choose between Ghost and the E wing versus set, and even though I like the E wing and the set is cheaper, I went with the Ghost because it seemed like a better buy. This set seems cool though. I wish the E wing were longer by two studs or so to make it look sleeker. The one chasing it reminds me of a Russian Mig-15 or Mig-17 with that blunt nose intake.
*edited to add* YOLO I preordered it this second LOL. So now I'll geek out with the Ghost and this set, too. $122 USD after tax. Why not.

Of all of the Ashoka sets this one seems to be the best for me and the one I’m the most likely to buy. I just like the uniqueness of the ships. I’m not a Rebels fan so The Ghost is special to me and Ashoka’s ship doesn’t seem all that special. I like the idea for these new double ship sets. I hope Lego continues them
As a big Legends fan I am very excited for the E wing!
Both of these sets have only one ship I want from each, the Tie Interceptor and the E Wing, but if I got both I’ll probably have fun with the secondary ships as well
I would like to adress one of the biggest lego problems right now, and its the lack of coherent waves,let me explain, appert from the new disney tv shows we aren't getting waves with sets that make sense with each other for example the new gunship has nothing to fight against and that also happened with the at te las year, i get that lego wanta to focus on the new shows but if they want to make a gunship why not make a set that goes along with it, i wanted to talk about this because whenever i look back on old lego waves like 2014 or 2009( or almost every lego wave until 2018more or less) i really think about this topic, thank you!
I like these ship two packs, I hope they continue to do these.
Another couple differences that add to the additional $10 are all the stickers and that all the minifigs are brand new.

of the ahsoka sets this one i think is the best set overall. In terms of price, fig quality, pieces etc. Just a shame the characters are not popular ones, and the vehicles arent well known

Im gonna call the astro mech B-85 because the colors remind me of Blockbuster and that company first came out in 1985 or something!
If anything stays true to the e-wing which originally appeared in the Dark Empire comic trilogy the astromech should be an R7 series.
To just buy the Minifigures or get the sets. I’ve been collecting figures for character who appear in The Mandalorian so I need the new Ahsoka and Morgan Elsbeth. Also thinking about making the new Zeb with that blue pilot uniform.

I hope that that starfighter isn't a special one-of-a-kind starfighter, I'd love to army build e-wings but don't want a ton of the same starfighter if there's only one of them in-universe.
Red saber is more accurate than orange. The sabers in the show are not orange. They are red with a small lean in to orange. Orange sabers for the figs would make the blades look less accurate.
Was a little on-the-fence earlier but liking the E-Wing design more and more every time I see it! Still the only thing I I don't quite see why it's called an E-Wing;...it doesn't really look like an "E", or is that just me? lol
I believe it is called an E-Wing because it was created to be an escort fighter.

The only ship I want is the E-wing honestly. If i ever get this set I might sell the red starfighter and most of the figures besides the ones that go for the E-wing.

If I may, I would recommend buying the T6 figs off of Bricklink or at a local store who sells them. The T6 itself, in my opinion, is not worth $80, I'll just buy the figs.
The only reason for me not buying the TIE/fang fighter set is the disappointing fang fighter. A vehicle that is pretty much only plates (and a lot of studs) holds me back from getting the best TIE version Lego ever made

The E wing has the monkey kid hilt in light grey not dark grey I’ve waited LEGO to recolor the monkey kid hilt I know people would use light grey hilt for darth maul lightsaber now some wanted silver metallic but light grey sorta still works

It was also in the Republic Fighter Tank, Ambush on Ferrix, and the Pirate Snubfighter. These are the ones I know of.

The droid's number is I-K34
I know its a set met for Kids but that E wing is not doing it for me. the mech should hidden and it sits a bit high though this might be the placement of the gear or scale but in hand I might change my mind. Some of these thoughts might be because I have the MOC off BV. Shins ship looks like a early race plane like a longer GEE BEE and a FW190. I do like the figures though and over all excited to see a official E wing.

Apperently filoni said their sabers are supposed to be light red not orange, and they looked more orange in the trailers, still wish we got a diferent color for the sabers but atleast both figs look really good

I'm really not a fan of these two in one sets. It means if you only want one of them, you have to go to the secondary market, which is obviously not easy to do for kids, and even if you do want both, you can't split that purchase up in what should be a perfectly reasonable way, in case you may not want to spend a hundred quid at a time. Plus, if sets *are* going to be in the 90-120 price range, I'd much rather get a single 90-120 value model.
