0:57 Rest in peace to the late and great Ray Stevenson. The Baylan Skoll figure looks fantastic and did a great service to him. Probably the first and only figure we'll receive of him and it definitely did him justice.
8:10 I saw from another review of this set that the large compartment in front of the cockpit is actually designed to fit one of the other villain minifigures lying down. A really cool use of space imo even if it's undoubtedly non-canon.
And, if you dismantle Baylan Skoll's lightsaber, it will fit into the _secret_ secret compartment. If LEGO ever makes an HK droid from a show, I'm putting it in there.
Fun fact- Skoll and Hatti where two giant wolves which chased after the Sun and Moon in norse mythology. When ragnarok occurred, they finally reached their targets and devoured them.
This set is so fresh, amazing colour schemes and two new ships (well technically jek-14s ship was the first e-wing but ignore that) amazing figures and a decent price! What an amazing little set. And it all comes reviewed by a non-shill!
Since I was in my 20s during the resurgence of Star Wars and Dark Empire, I found the e-wing design refreshing. I kind of expected for it to be a little fatter though.

Right. In my opinion, the E-Wing should've been the principal starfighter of the Sequel Trilogy, rather than just reusing the X-Wing over and over again.
Hey Ryan! I just had the opportunity to meet you at the Tampa Fan Fest Lego convention. Thanks for signing my 501st battle pack instructions! Great job always pumping out great reviews with no bias towards Lego, it's hard to find accurate reviews these days. Keep up the great work bro, and don't forget to finish Hoth 😂
I Love to see LEGO using that medium brown skin tone on more figures, it’s such a cool color and I’m glad that for such a new tone it already has a pretty expansive portfolio when it comes to head prints.
8:10 was definitely at plot twist and same with 8:22 😂 So many hidden compartments in these sets. I will probably see if I could get this set on discount, nice review Ryan!
10/10 set. I just don't see flaws here. Awesome minifigs, droid, both vehicles look clean as hell, especially the E-wing is such a beauty. They knocked it out of the park, even the underside looks great. Both fighters have very cool color scheme, you don't have the usual grey bricked star wars colors.
I still really wish we got reddish-orange lightsabers, the new lightsaber color is such a distinct part of the new characters so it sucks that the minifigs are lacking it
I really hope Lucasfilm keeps exploring the new Republics style and ascetic in the Mandoverse shows because it’s slowly becoming one of my favourite Star Wars Styles. The blue color really helps the E wing pop and I hope we eventually get similar New republic ships in Lego, as the designs from games and comics trickle into live action(something like the Skyhawk, the new republics capital ship, could look great in Lego)
It only makes sense. New ships = new toys, which is good for business. The New Republic have a lot of cool looking ships that could look great in Lego. I would love a K-wing to accommodate the E-wing, but a new B-wing set would also be nice... I just also like this color scheme and I want to see more ships with it.
The Starfighter reminds me of the fireball from Star Wars Resistance, the colour and shaping as long as you reverse the direction the wing tips point in.
Filoni explicitly said that different coloring of their light sabers bears a meaning, they are indeed more orange in the show, as if their crystals were bleed out.
I feel like one of the minifigs we are missing (3 episodes out now) are the HK droids. Would’ve loved to get a couple of them Imagine a “Thrawn fan group” battle pack with 3 regular HKs and 1 red HK with a little temple build
Grateful for eBay. I managed to secure the E-Wing all on its own. Even after watching Ahsoka, I felt no love for Shin's starfighter. But the E-Wing is such a great build, really sturdy and fun to play with. I like the new style of stud shooters Lego is putting out. The old ones needed the stud loaded to look okay, otherwise it just looked odd if not loaded. These ones look good when empty and the trigger piece resting against the main shooter. It's fun to put my personal minifig in the cockpit and my favorite astromech, R8-B7, in the droid socket.
Those scratches on the cockpit piece can be easily removed with Polywatch. I used it for heavily scuffed and scratched screen pieces on the Galaxy Explorer and it works like a charm provided the surface isn’t gouged. Super easy fix for the delicate windscreens Lego should be placing in separate bags to begin with.
I really like newer lego star wars ships but I really don't like the tendency to make really thin cockpit, leading the pilot to be almost laying inside
My only real issue I have with this set is .. and it's a minor one, but it's attention to detail. Baylan Skoll doesn't have a hood/cape. He definitely has a version of a cape in Ashoka. So why leave it out? Plus, Baylan and Shin's sabers are more a red/orange in colour rather than the deep red of a Sith. Like I said, attention to detail.
Ryan. I preordered this set as soon as it was available. I bought the other 2 shop set earlier this year. I will get clear display stands for each to have them “flying “. The color scheme is what pops for me on both ships, and I like the mini figure selection. O agree that the cockpit or windscreen should be packaged separately to help avoid scratches. Overall a great review
I really like these double ship sets, but I would much rather have 4 $50 ship sets with 2-3 minifigs each with a bigger ship build than 2 smaller ships in the same box. I like to fleet build and its not worth having 3 or so Shin starfighters or the gross Fang fighters just to have a cool Interceptor or E-wing squadron.

Shin Hati's starfighter looks like it was really inspired by a Republic P-47 Thunderbolt or Focke-Wulf 190.
