Nice. 3 more of my favorite tunes from Eurythmics, especially Thorn in My Side.

I think it's important to mention the incredible Joniece Jamison who appears in some of these videos and does backing vocals on quite a few of the songs. I saw the Eurythmics in 1989 and Joniece was there as well. I have to admit she blew my mind at the time. She's a complete powerhouse of sound.

Thanks Bryson! I love when you do these Eurythmics/Annie Lennox reactions. Two more that I love are 17 Again and Here Comes that Sinking Feeling. Honestly just find more songs of theirs/hers that you haven't heard yet, anything❤

When Tomorrow Comes starts off like a poem, those lyrics are just amazing. Great choices, Bryson. Miracle of Love has such a timeless beauty about it.

Great reaction! Not sure why these songs weren't bigger hits in the US like Missionary Man was. Thorn in My Side is one of favorites, her voice, the lyrics, the sax and musical arrangement - such created 80's pop. You have to give a listen to Don't Ask Me Why... as you mentioned her direct lyrics about tough topics, Don't Ask Me Why is tops, like only Annie can deliver

Re: The Miracle Of Love (1986) I wish I could re-count lost love or relationship memories however this track is one of my favourites of their discography. Hearing your reaction to it immediately transported me back to those old Melbourne FM radio stations of EON FM, Triple M, where I got lost in the heaviness Musically of Annie & Dave ❤

Thank you for this. Loved this. You covered the videos from the Revenge album here (my second fave Eurythmics album, it's brilliant).
I don't know if anyone's advise you, but they shot videos for every song on the Savage album with director Sophie Muller, so I thoroughly recommend checking all those out eventually if you wanna take that journey.
Liked and shared - thank you for what you do here, as always.

"When Tomorrow Comes" (06/86), "The Miracle Of Love" (12/86) and "Thorn In My Side" (09/86) are together with "Missionary Man" (03/87) from my all time favourite Eurythmics album "Revenge", I can't praise it enough! Although it's very rock and I prefer singles off other albums, for me this album in its entirety is the best, followed by the again-electronic "Savage" 🤗

I had forgotten how beautiful Miracle of Love is, thanks for that. I think that may be because Revenge isn't my fave album of theirs, I felt it was a bit too mainstream at the time, I preferred the return of a touch of weirdness in the next album Savage (Beethoven and You Have Plaved A Chill my faves) I still purchased Revenge all the same, and it had some great energetic pop, fired up by Clem Burke's powerdrumming (don't know if you recognise him from Blondie, but he was also a large part of the Eurythmics success, he was with them a long time, I had been in love with him since Denis in 1978, saw him with this band in 83 but didn't see him with the actual Blondie until well into the 90s, though I may have seen him drumming for Debbie before that, he was always working, still is in fact...)
If you're disappointed that Miracle Of Love didn't get your glands going... your tear-glands! then I have to point you to Angel, from We Too Are One album (I don't think you've watched it yet) I warn you, it was inspired by a loss Annie suffered and it is a bit emosh, have a tissue handy...

      @snapdragon9330 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah, I agree Revenge wasn't my fav either it was too removed from their usual sound, but boy did they come back on point with Savage which in my opinion was their masterpiece. You Have Placed a Chill is my fav Eurythmics song alongside Love is a Stranger.

This one was almost exclusively from their most commercial period, the Revenge album. Loved the reactions as always!!
    Suggestions for the next one....
Don't Ask Me Why (ultra cool Annie)
17 Again (anti-war nostalgic retrospective Annie)
I've Got a Life (disco stomper nostalgic retrospective Annie)
    Angel (gut-wrenching ballad Annie)
Sexcrime 1984 (ultimately un-used soundtrack synthpop Annie (but awesome))
Right By Your Side (calypso Annie)
Here Comes the Rain Again (awesome Annie complete with stalker Dave)

Individually, these songs are all great. But to me they all sit on two of the three least “Eurythmics” of the Eurythmics albums. The ones where they went for a guitar-driven sound and dropped a lot of their synth-led songs and melodies. To my ears the albums were really bland. After Revenge, at least we got Savage (and then We Too Are One which I confess I’ve never heard) . But after Peace, we got nothing. Still a wonderful band but to me they ended up limping off into the sunset rather than riding. They could still write a good tune but they lost their bite in producing them. But these four songs are highlights from those albums. Obviously just my opinion.
