The game of catch is how I made my buddy whos just started cut his 3 putts to a consistent 1.5. hes been getting a lot better and honestly catch is the best way ive found to help anyone. Glad you talked about it today!
The game of catch mentality has helped me so much in the past. I've had my wife stand behind the basket several times and when she does I almost never miss. Need to keep that in mind every round! Thanks Robbie, loving the content as always!
It took until now, because of the egg toss analogy, to understand how to pop the disc when putting. In just a few days I'm hitting more putts from further away with more consistency. For me, it gave me confidence to nail those 15 footers without much thought, and make more from 20-30ft. Thanks Robbie!
I've always thought of popping my fingers as just a natural part of the follow through. However, after watching this video, I'm doing it intentionally. Adding accuracy and distance with less effort to my putting game. Thank you so much Robbie!! Your teaching makes me better every time I tune in. ✌️
Been playing for three years now and only just today learned this supination push putt thing. Suffice it to say, this is a total game changer. Every man, woman, and child should know this secret. Push putting is it, no doubt.
Great video. I'm in my first year of DG and have more cold than hot days staring at that basket lol. HOWEVER, your video about "just playing catch" really clicked!!! I'm looking forward to putting this to the test on my practice basket!! THANKS
Dayumm, I never thought about this as A GAME OF CATCH. The simplicity in the idea is fantastic. Thank you for the tips, I just disc-overed (sorry) your channel. Love it!
While my C1x is great, my C2 sucked. The finger pop reminder, along with a recent Wysocki vid, has helped my C2 accuracy and feel quite a bit since I watched this. Great vid.
A less messy option is a rhythm band egg-shaped shaker, available for $3 or less at your local music store. The sound can help with assessing the amount of pop or, conversly, the smoothness of the motion.
Thank you! I took a putter out back where I have my practice basket and 20 feet marked off. Normally I make 5 of 10. This time I made 10 of 10. The difference was that I didn't spread my fingers out and I supernated my palm. Perfection!
thanks for the help i got lots of information from this i wanted to be a golfer for a long time so thanks so much!!! great vids!!! keep uploading man!!!
I feel like an idiot but at the same time happy about hearing the very last segment about "just playing catch" because quite frankly thats all it is. I used to be a pitcher and thats how I always approached it and now is how I teach young kids to mentally engage themselves for it. I dont know why I didnt apply that to putting but after seeing this video I did and it made a world of difference. Im not that good by any means but taking off that bit of pressure really did make things easier than looking at it like some trial. Before this from 20ft out I might make 2 out of 10 , after I hit 4 out of 10 once and then 5 out of 10 before going 3 for 10. Immediate improvement just by switching the mental aspect . Crucial tip .
This was an awesome video. It helped answer a lot of questions I had about what my hand was doing to make the disk move. Could you make another video about using the legs and how the different stance effect the put?
Hi Robbie. Thanks for all the tips. I'm new to the game and these videos have helped tremendously. I've heard you (and others) mention player ratings. Seems like it's similar to a golf handicap. Could you explain what the player ratings are?
I love your videos and decided to watch each one. This one was an awesome breakdown. Question, on practice goals for beginners, I tried putting as far as I could to at least understand what my max distance is in a normal putt stance. I got to 50 feet to get that far the disc goes big hyzer and takes a journey but gets parked at the 5 to 10 foot range. I use a lot of spin (to park it). So is that far enough? For accuracy, I'm in the 20 foot range with 80% success. What does this mean? What kind of practice would best enhance my game? I don't know what my goals should be. Get to 100% in 20 feet. Does practicing parking discs at 50 feet make sense too or is it best to work my way back from the basket and focus on accuracy.
Practicing putting everyday. Different feet each time and I want to be able to hit 20-30 putts 8/10 times from different angles and different putting stances/approaches.
I understand this video was to show the push putt and to think of putting as playing catch but I found my friends lost disc and I tossed it to him and noticed that it was accurate right to him but also that it was nothing like my putting motion so now I have the mindset of playing catch with the basket but I should use my natural motion like passing the disc to my friend
I really like this style of putting but find that I have a huge hyzer to my disc when I do this. I've tried supinating more but then I end up yoinking the putt off to the right more often than not. Got any advice for me?
Hello! New to the channel was curious about the tattoo on your arm? I recognize the Greek and was wondering if there is a certain story or Bible verse behind the choice?
Wow that makes a lot of sense taking your friends disc and tossing it to them and we can get it to them but when we are putting we don't do it like that makes sense to me 😂😂
hmmmmm so Robbie does a clinic.....OverThrow is about to do a clinic tonight......all right after a week on the farm........are we witnessing the beginning of the "Throw Birdie Panda Disc golf training method"??? did more happen than just ace runs? the suspense....you can feel the suspense
Love the shirt, they’re gonna miss Freddy Freeman , bad move on the Braves Behalf. He wins them a ring and then they don’t wanna pay him. Fickle business!
This is a good video but technically this is a spush putt. A true push putt (ie scott stokely, dave feldberg, ken climo videos) has the wrist locked in place and the spin is generated entirely by the fingers/hand opening
Thanks for all the tips...... Now to return the favor. Start your eggs in cold water
And gently crack the bottoms where the air pocket is before boiling to make peeling much easier.

Still the best channel on TH-cam - thanks Robbie C.
I agree
My favorite channel on TH-cam, period ❤ Thank you Robbie, your the man!
Thanks dude!! This is a great putt video. Gonna use it in my club to help others. ❤❤❤
Great video. I'm in my first year of DG and have more cold than hot days staring at that basket lol. HOWEVER, your video about "just playing catch" really clicked!!! I'm looking forward to putting this to the test on my practice basket!! THANKS
You have taught me so much.
You've turned this sometimes frustrating game into a fun less intimidating nature walk for me😂🤓
This is absolutely brilliant

I'm practicing this way tomorrow. I guess I have more of a spin putt. But this looks like the way to go
Holy shit! "Catch" is what I've been missing. I've been completely overthinking my putting game and suffering for it. Thanks for the coaching, Robbie!
Thanks Robbie that video I think will make my putting more eggcellent.
Best dagum explication I’ve seen!!!!!
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great Tips. Can’t wait to try this out.

4:51 great transition and camera work Robbie

Loved the tips Robbie.
Thanks for your vid Robbie. You've help me improve my game alot .

This is a phenomenal tutorial on push putting! Thanks!
Just got myself a practice basket. Can’t wait to start practicing my push putts! Great video!
Thanks man, this was super helpful. Never thought about it like this before
Great vid! Well explained.
I saw your egg posting on Instagram and I have been waiting to see how you used them.... Good stuff, Robbie!
beauty video! appreciate the pro tips!
This was an awesome video. It helped answer a lot of questions I had about what my hand was doing to make the disk move. Could you make another video about using the legs and how the different stance effect the put?
I can already tell this is going to help a lot! Great tips Robbie!
Well, this was an eye-opener! Thank you, again, for another great and helpful video!!!
Somebody got some inspiration from Gordon Bombay! Keep the putting videos coming.
Great info. As usual, Robbie. Thx so much.
I appreciate the videos as they have helped me over the past months and getting better and getting me on the podium more at tournaments.
Wish I knew about supination before switching to a spin putt. My putting has gotten a lot better over the last 6 months but it's been a grind.
It's still good to do even for a spin putt! It might be a bit more subtle but still adds quite a lot of power if you get the timing right
Much love Robbie 👊
Love your content man, really appreciate what you do!
Great content Robbie. I have never thought of it as just playing catch.
I couldnt figure out why sometimes I had nice pop and sometimes I didn't. Just needed to turn my hand a bit! Thanks!
Hey Robbie, you ever been to indian creek disc golf course in Huntsville? It's great. You should try it out!
I have!! I’ll be up in May for the Blast!!
Great tips!
Ok...the "game of catch" explanation blew my mind.
It takes a high level of genius to put that much information into comedy.
Or is it a high level of smartass?
Either way, thank you for the tips!!
That looks like George Ward Park. Fun course!

4:11. Lmao!! I have my sleeping baby on my chest and you dropping the egg cracked me up and almost cost me my quiet time. 😂😂😂
Hahaha glad to bring the laughs!
Wait.... what!? 🤨🤔 that's brilliant
An UPSIDEDOWN - LEFT HANDED - TURBO?!?!?! What in cursed putts was that?!

I switched from spin putting to this and my accuracy went from 15% to 50%. still cant power my push putt up , but this video is a great start for me.
New to the game...I'll consider you my Yoda
An honor it would be!
SPUSH is the 3rd
I really like this style of putting but find that I have a huge hyzer to my disc when I do this. I've tried supinating more but then I end up yoinking the putt off to the right more often than not. Got any advice for me?
Another chain banger of a video.
Love that shirt. #ChopChop
All day!!
We're just South down in Mobtown. Hope y'all didn't get it too bad up there.
All clear!!
Lol, I actually threw my best round at a local course with strong winds blowing across the fairways. Managed a -2 on the round.
Was really hoping for a Green Eggs and Pig....I mean Ham reference.
When you get back around to teaching us about distance can you show us how to hyzer flip a halo destroyer 450ft like Calvin Heimburg did at Belton?
😳😳😳
Putting is just a mental game. I have knocked more than 10 strokes off my game by not really thinking too much while putting
Hello! New to the channel was curious about the tattoo on your arm? I recognize the Greek and was wondering if there is a certain story or Bible verse behind the choice?
Wow that makes a lot of sense taking your friends disc and tossing it to them and we can get it to them but when we are putting we don't do it like that makes sense to me 😂😂
How many batteries did you use lol. Looks like Detroit in the background ha.
I’m normally a spush putter in no wind, definitely more spin with wind tho
❤️
Another good comparison for push putts would be playing bean bags! same motion
Robbie's long hair lives on in his intro
Why did I find it funny he called the basket a "Cylinder of Terror"?
Why do the Chain Baskets make me think of the Hell Raiser movie?
hmmmmm so Robbie does a clinic.....OverThrow is about to do a clinic tonight......all right after a week on the farm........are we witnessing the beginning of the "Throw Birdie Panda Disc golf training method"??? did more happen than just ace runs? the suspense....you can feel the suspense
Not only is this an awesome tip, but who doesn't want to use eggs against current disc golf buddies for April Fools?
I was taught to push putt by throwing a sand bag, so the egg thing makes a lot of sense.
Edit: bean bag, not sand. That'd be tough.
I don't know if that is a 100% eggourate!
I'm amazed. You've barely aged from 1998 to today.
So now i need friends to learn disc golf?? Damn ... that's it for me I guess ..
Love the shirt, they’re gonna miss Freddy Freeman , bad move on the Braves Behalf. He wins them a ring and then they don’t wanna pay him. Fickle business!

Dude
A Lacrosse Ball is a lot more durable than a hard boiled egg.
golf ball?!
: )
Can I offer you a nice egg in this trying time?
I’m such a spin putter I still can’t grasp the push style. I’m trying though
Wierd , but i like it when BAD things happen to Robbie . C
Robbie C. handles problems like he survived world war 3
