A fine weather sub zero winter hill walk and summit camp on Ben Vrackie in Perthshire, Scotland with Ray Smith of RS Outdoors channel. So cold it was best described in retrospect as 'type 2 fun' and a glimpse of the Aurora was a bonus too.

Beautiful, though chilly weather. Great photography, as always.
When I camp in winter weather, I bring a Klean Kanteen 40 oz. (US) stainless bottle, which I warm by the fire (where allowed). It then goes into an old, open cell foam, 35mm telephoto camera lens case and directly into my sleeping bag with my electronics and my Sawyer Squeeze water filter. In the morning the water is still quite warm, and the breakfast water is ready in very little time. I imagine that such a bottle could be heated directly on a pressurized gas stove.

Wow, that was a cold one Andrew. I am liking the look of the North Face Assault. Are you still enjoying it? Looks nice and cosy inside.
