Apna pillow jrror rakhna coz hospital valle flat hote hai agar apka khud ka hoga to vo labour n delivery k time kam aayega kabhi kabhi apse lata nahi jata coz of pain even apki back support ke liye aur epidural k time m bhi app pillow godi m rakh sakte ho n ik blanket bhi le lena usse jab apko chills hote hai to kam aayega hospital valli sheets kam nahi ati tab ... highly recommended....❤😊

I would like to add some tips based on my recent experience of delivering in a Canadian hospital.
For yourself (mom): Please choose comfortable clothing- I delivered in May 2021 so I packed my loose cotton maternity lowers and borrowed my husband’s shirts with front buttons- they are very useful for feeding purpose. Since your delivery will be in winter season, gowns may not be very warm.
Pack lots of food for yourself and your attendant- you don’t want to run around to hospital cafe for food once the baby is out. Plus hospital food is not always to your taste. Vegetarian options are also few.
Pack yourself some basic toiletries. If it’s normal delivery, you will be discharged the next day. If it’s C-Sec, then it may take you 2-3 days in the hospital and they will ask you to take bath in the hospital itself.
Most importantly, use adult diapers for after birth bleeding. The regular sanitary pads won’t do the job. I cannot emphasize the importance of adult diapers enough. They were super convenient to say the least. They are easily available in Walmart and Costco.
Avoid using phones or screens for 40 days. After two kids I can say with confidence that traditional ways of postpartum care are way better for your body than the modern ways.
For the baby: Do keep formula milk handy (I know you have bought Enfamil A+ already - I saw it in one of your earlier videos)- please take 1-2 cartons with you but don’t use it until your gynae asks you to. Hospitals will provide formula milk on their own if need arises. But carry some with you (you can keep them in the car boot) and do take Enfamil disposable nipples too. That way you don’t have to worry about sterilizing bottles and nipples again and again.

Not true abt hospital food, I actually preferred their food it was healthy and tasted good . ALSO plenty of vegetarian options now it’s so common to cater to this need.
@Sumedh H during delivery there is so much pressure on all body parts specially on eyes during pushing stage and eyes need time to heal as well after delivery 4 to 6 weeks are recommended to avoid driving, screen time, handicrafts etc which all need concentration from eyes.
I delivered all my three kids in the early 90's and trust me those days it was so simple not much choices just a baby carrier, diaper bag, stroller and crib and shopping was done and it was next day discharge so there was no need to pack a suitcase. When I watch videos I feel woh so much has changed and it is way more stressful. Wishing you all the best and I know to be parents must be so eager to see and hold their bundle of joy. May the lord bless you with an easy delivery and a happy and healthy bundle of joy.
Exactly instead of making it simple nowadays it’s stressful. In old times , it was simple.
Hey.. just a suggestion from safety perspective.. it's always recommended to install carseat in the middle seat instead of the side ones, as it will reduce the impact in case of any accident. So middle seat is lot more safe when comes to installing carseat and especially for small babies.
A few more things.
Towels/ plastic bags for the car ( I used recycle bags) in case water breaks in the car.
Semi room room is paid upgrade (.by insurance) otherwise it’s 4/ room.
Chap stick
Hair tie.
I stayed in my gown. If baby is in NICU then no one questions you walking back and forth.
Pack a button down shirt for mom. Easy to feed in if you choose.
Zip down hoodie for dad so he can do skin to skin.
Coconut waters. Mom is not allowed food when you get there ( depending how far along). So eat a big meal while driving there and sometimes they let you drink coconut water.

Viscose is also a good alternative to cotton. You can look at fibre label of any clothing for composition.
Cells - It’s useful for both child and parents. I always wish that you never need, but it’s very useful.

Make sure you take more wipes. They give diapers at the hospital but ours didn’t have wipes.

Charger with a long cable.
Check for cord blood. After Covid they don’t often have staff to do extra work. Also you have to pay the doc at the hospital to process the cord blood. Also, I had to drop mine off myself to Toronto, they were not able to pick it up with my first.
Milton hospital provide you swaddle, cap and diapers for baby ! They also provide you milk and if you have normal delivery then they discharge you in 1 day. Shower is usually not possible. Please carry frida postpartum gel pads those are so soothing and helping. I highly recommend.
Get a travel bidet for yourself in your hospital bag … you need that even for peeing while in labor … the travel bidet is better than the peri bottle that some hospitals provide …
Order maternity pads curity or natracare… don’t use regular sanitary pads as it will be too rough …
Witch hazel pads also provide a lot of relief…
I delivered in this September at Sunnybrook..wish you a smooth delivery..I wanna add always descret underwear it will help you a lot after delivery bleeding and be ready to handle baby by yourself..that’s the main job for attendant who stays with you means baby’s father..because after delivery you are not able to hold the baby..all the best
Good luck to both of you. Three things were missing from your baby shopping : Diaper Genie ( which is must… also buy 2 of them for each floor), Bottle sanitizer, feeding pillow. Few extra things you can which were helpful for us are soothing music player and subscription to lovevery type services. Not sure if it is available in Canada.

First of all, heartiest congratulations!! Your life is about to change with the arrival of your miracle baby. ❤️ Here are a few suggestions which would help with postpartum care (applicable in case of normal delivery):
1) FridaBaby Mom Upside Down Peri Bottle for Postpartum Care
2): FridaBaby Perineal Medicated Witch Hazel Full-Length Cooling Pad Liners
3) Sitz Bath (must have for stiches healing support)
4) Adult Diapers (Always Discreet PP underwear)
5) Nipple Butter Cream
6) Perineall Ice Packs
7) Handsfree Pumping Bra
8) Get a humidifier for the room in which little one will be sleeping.

Yes! Lol. Hospitals do provide those but those were the best especially after csection. I actually asked for a couple extra to take home
Congratulations Harmeet and Manpreet! My two cents on baby items- please don't go overboard with bottles and formula as you might end up exclusively breastfeeding. Formula not all kinds suit each baby so it's best to try the samples first. You can ask your OBGYN for formula samples and bottles samples usually are sent when you create a baby registry on Walmart. Also please consider buying water wipes instead of Huggies or pampers, they are so far the best I have found for babies sensitive skin (a bit expensive though)
Yaar, the hospital should give out most of the baby & Mom stuff. only something that you want to wear. All you need is a car seat and just some cloths and treats that you like (may be breast pump for the baby milk). You don't need the stroller at this time. you will only use it after coming home and that too much later. Make sure the car seat base is snug fit and does NOT move.
U should pack 3 pairs baby mittens, 3 full bodysuit for baby ,4 vest with snap closure ,hat,wipes, rash creme ,receiving blanket,
Wash cloths are must! Hope you have bought those.
Hey some photographers have links in hospitals to do newborn photoshoot in hospital itself. During covid it was stopped but maybe they are doing it now. You can check that too
Also the nurses are super helpful and they do click pictures and some even remind you to take pictures in the delivery room itself😊

Hi manpreet ji and harmeet ji...hearty 🎊 wishing you all the very best and most wonderful parenting journey ahead....we recently delivered our second baby here and unlike India they didn't allow us to use the baby carrier as they told us that we can just use it with open zip for baby to sleep when we are with them but we should not zip it or use it in bassinet or crib as it might suffocate the baby...it's best to wrap your baby in layers if you take him/her out...hope this helps you..
Buy sudocream and apply every time when you will change your baby diaper INSHAALLAH so your baby will not get rash
and carry fulfilling snacks q k delivery ke bad bhtt bhook lgte hai or agr foran na khaoo so there are chances that you will feel dizzy
Take one pair of clothes which you used before pregnancy means normal size. After delivery when you will go back home , normal size clothes will be needed.. Wish you very safe delivery.

We have a 17mo...brought back so many fond memories watching you both prepare for the baby.😊 Also, fun fact: me and my husband had the same argument about the travel system..we ended up not using the bassinet in that at all! Only the car seat and the base were actually useful!😅My husband still gives me grief over it!

Happy for both.... !manpreet please take some soft cotten small clothes in tomato red color for wipe baby's lips after brest feeding because in cold weather it dry fast and make baby's lips dark so every time use redcloth to wipe. I think this may help you.

You want to take your brush and tooth paste, one small glass for baby if you want to give baby to milk powder, and small spoon for baby from which you want to give drink
Baby wears size 0 diaper for first 30 days, then transitions to size 1. Manpreet u look tired, get that sleep as much as possible. Lots of sleepless nights are in store for u in near future 🙂. Bhai, the whole world knows it now that it's a BOY, koi surprise nahin hai ab.

Lovely blog. U showed the pink sleeping bag so is it a girl ???😄 really confused 😂 yes even I had put a special pillow so the head becomes round. Always keep the hospital bag and even your full doctor file in the car all the time. I used to use sudo cream for nappy rash. U can ask your doctor which one to use. I have started making coffee the way u showed , with the whisker 😂waiting for the baby vlog

Bassinet is the best option!I (Was expensive but very useful)bought same for my kids 14 years ago (when they were infants/baby)very useful when kid is sleeeping when you are either in mall or in picnic ,I would say is great option so kid can sleep easily without bending his or her neck!

Must wear a hair tie because at that time it's impossible to tie hair yourself and it's so uncomfortable if hair are open.
Also keep home shoes for hospital use. And socks to keep feet warm. Keep a nursing pillow as well to avoid back pain

Walmart has that pillow for head shape.i used it for both my kids, but the Dr do not recommend it.its our Desi culture thing.anyways, best of luck.
