  • Not all boards are equal and red© Paddle Co have changed the game with the new V-hull that adorns the new 2024 12.6 Voyager. This paddle board review is independent, I get no gain from either red© or AS Watersports©, I simply enjoy getting honest and thorough kit reviews out to you all.
    Quick Highlights:
Ultimate Adventure Board: A top pick for long trips. Super stable and easy to load up, perfect for adventures.
Revolutionary V-Hull: Glides through the water with ease, making your paddle strokes more efficient.
Twin Fin Setup: Great for both shallow and diverse waterways, giving you better stability and maneuverability.
Extra Space: With its extended length and 32" width, there’s plenty of room for your gear or even a small passenger (kid or dog, anyone?).
Patented RSS Battens: Keeps the board rigid even when fully loaded, ideal for touring with lots of gear.
Why You’ll Love the 12.6 Voyager:
Innovative V-Hull: This unique V-shape at the nose helps break the water's surface tension for smooth gliding, even in choppy conditions or crosswinds.
Twin 8" Touring Fins: These ultra-durable fins help with tracking and can easily be adjusted without tools. Perfect for navigating through weeds and debris.
Redesigned ATB Transformer Bag: This backpack now features a bagless carry system for more streamlined adventures.
This board is all about combining performance and practicality, making it a top choice for taller or heavier riders seeking a comfortable touring experience. Check out the video for more details and to see this beast in action!
    Full Specs:
    Width: 32"
Volume: 360L holding a huge 150kg of person and kit.
Cargo System: Versatile front and six anchor points at the tail and another 6 at the front with adjustable straps.
New Features for 2024: Extended ergonomic central handle and removable side handles for more open deck space

Have you tried the 13'2" or 12' voyager as a comparison? I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs wondering if the 12' would be enough, it's 28" in width though, so not sure how much less stable it be.

I went out with a friend who was trying the 28” wide one and even though he’s a very accomplished paddler (one of the top guys in the UK) he found it a bit wobbly. I’ll ask if I can take one out to test next weekend.

how did you take those drone shots? Can you land a drone on the baddle board?

    • @TheOptimisticAdventurer

I did yes. Though I’ve lost 4 drones to the sea and rivers now so when I get a new one my family have banned me from flying over water.

@@TheOptimisticAdventurer Are the drones not smart enough to land on a moving board? I assume you're using the DJI drones.

@@raczyk yes DJI but landing on a moving platform has to be done manually. I’ve never lost a drone that way, flying in no satellite environments (valleys and woodland) and one flying through a sea arch in high winds, the one other time was a long story but my fault as well. ‘You takes the risks you pay the price’ as the old saying goes.
I keep promising myself I will learn but I don’t.
