Nice short. And since the daughter now remembers her future life, she doesn't need to waste time finishing high school and going to college! And maybe she'll remember a few lottery numbers as well.
🔵 🔵 I can't even imagine what kind of a young lady she's going to grow up (again!) to be,..... A good deal of the strength she had growing up the first time she got from having lost her Mother,.... I can only wonder how her mother's presence will now influence her growing up (again) along with the memory of having grown up once-before without her! WOOF!....... now THAT'LL fog your eyeballs!! One question though,... If she woke up IN-side, how did the Rubik's-Tesseract- thingy get OUT-side?
The villagers still tell tales of how two hideous monsters appeared from nowhere and threw death into their loved ones even as they called a welcome to the strangers.
Anyone old enough to have watched even just clips of (now ancient, but still beloved) the "Hellraiser" franchise (Clive Barker) ought to feel fear streak through their hearts when anywhere near a Puzzle Box! It's like walking backwards downstairs into the unlit basement while hearing groaning and scratching from under the 'black - as - pitch' hollow staircase!! Great short film. So good, in fact, you made my GF cry three times (one sad, two happy) in less than 15 minutes. Incredible.
so un-dad-like. that was the only flaw. would've been better to just have him leave them before the story began. (or get only a phone call when she finds the stuff, and be on his way there when the action happens. he can't make a plane go faster than it can.)

I applaud the cinematography, the story, the plot, the sets. What gets an F is costume design no the monsters (why no gloves? we see that on the old video that there are claws that grab her, I was expecting some really scary monsters, not 80s caught on camera creatures made in some guys basement) and the acting also gets an C--, I was going to say an F but I have seen much worse and it did not make me cringe so I give it to them for that. Overall I give the film a very high B--. I wanted to love this so much but those two things hurt my heart.

He says that ALL the dig site crews are using this equipment (video camera) and yet it apparently is crap as it can't record without being glitchy? And by the way...does this thing use video tape??? I mean what year is this supposed to be?? She finds a video camera buried in the sand and isn't immediately shocked by that alone? And of course, her phone and car stops working. But...I did think the older version of the daughter was the best actor of them all and thought the flash travel was done well.
Sooooo she's being threatened by an unknown entity at one moment - and then in the next moment she wakes up? Strange time for a snooze don't you think?
I like this film, especially in the end, it's a touching moment. But what bothers me, did the daughter returns to the past in the end and the future does not happened, or it's gonna be like Jumanji where the victim and saviours lived like they have been in real time for couple of years, iykwim?
8:43 -- Okay, I am digging this so far, but ... Did you HAVE to go with the WAY-overused gimmick of the bloody nose? One can hardly find a flick these days involving some supernatural or other-worldly menace that doesn't have people getting bloody noses for no apparent reason.
well, the nose is the one of the most vulnerable parts of the body. Get hit by a ball on the chest, legs, forehead... not much happens, but get hit on the nose and the red waterworks will start pouring. Also nosebleeds occur much more often than other used supernatural gimmics like coughing up or crying blood
