Thanks for the info about getting actual stereo recording! Would a basic USB c to USB c cable work? I'm also curious about which ap you use on your iPhone for recording the video with visible audio monitoring. Thanks again!
Thanks for this and other videos that helped me learn about audiovisual production. Gary, I'm interested in the DW-30 variant, with internal recording. In some reviews they talk about a noticeable latency in the DW-20. Have you noticed that latency in the editing of your video? Thanks
Your test meant a lot to me. Question: how do I manage to get the safety track into my post production on the pc, e.g. with the Magix VDL program? Do you know a solution?
Will connecting to my camera into the headphone jack lead to better audio than connecting it to my phone(even though I'll be filming with a camera)? Or will it just make it easier to have the audio synced.
There are products that cost more but this one seems like good value. Just remember it doesn’t have all the features that others have like the Rode wireless go2. Hope that helps.
I have the 7RYMS DW20 and a canon rebel T6. I have to use a female to male adapter to get from 3.5mm to 2.5mm and I have that but when I plug it in while in video mode it says "still photo shooting is not possible in movie mode" so does it think I plugged in some sort of remote shutter presser thing? I'm at a loss why this isn't working. Maybe you could help :)
Nice little unit. Simple yet detailed testing and explanation. You could teach for a living!
HaHa! Thanks for the support Campscape.
Thanks for the video I finally figured out why I couldn’t hear the output from the footage!
What was the wrong thing?
Hi Gary, what a detailed setting! it means a lot to us😍
It’s a great little product. I was taken back by it having a digital output as well. Extremely low background hiss as well. Well done guys!
Thanks Gary you are a swell fella.
It’s excellent explanation, can you explain how to settings with OBS studio
Great video
Awesome Video thanks for this !

Never knew by clicking on the power button you can change from Mono to stereo. Mine has been on Mono for ages

I've tried many adapters but still no voice been recorded on iPhone I don't know why???. It works well on the camera
Is this a kit that you would recommend?

May I ask, which app you are using on your iPhone to record the audio with the 7RYMS
I use the FilMic Pro app for most of my testing. I like it because it has good audio control and display.
Which application do you to monitor audio on this video? Or which one would you recommend?
