- The 2023 911 Sport Classic is the latest offering in the Porsche Heritage Design program, in which they’re celebrating every era of their history with a special edition model. It follows in the footsteps of the 997.2 Sport Classic, which took its inspiration from the 1972 911 Carrera RS 2.7. And to celebrate the original high performance 911’s 50th anniversary, Porsche dusted off a few RS models they had lying around and Greg Carloss headed out to Stuttgart, Germany to drive them.

I've already built 5 on Porsche's website..They won't let me order them for some reason though????
They won’t let you order online because you have to go to a dealer and give them their 200k markup. Only a few dealers have allocations with only 350 coming to the US.
I’m sold! Always have moved Porsche’s and Aston Martin’s. No exotics for me.

That aside, this new 911 is neat! I also like the wheels too! It fits well.
That may not happen if car brands go full electric. I would like to see an 8 speed manual made just to see if it could work.

I have a base Cayman 6MT. It's a fantastic car. The 911 is iconic and that heritage sport takes it to the next level.

The 911 is simply the greatest car of all time. At my age (61) however, I’m more likely to choose the Panamera 4, as I just can’t take the hard ride of a 911 for a daily driver…
Time for me to find a channel that reviews cars normal people can afford & buy.

$274k msrp isn’t really relative given the U.S. will only receive 250 of the 1,250 made, AND most will actually sell above $500k and never be driven. Great marketing by Porsche, but the enthusiast is left out of the picture.

This sport classic is not worth the cost of admission.
More exp than turbo s but slower. Comes with stick but again WAY more exp than GT3 which you can also get with stick. No doubt super cool car but the price seems egregious. The saddest part is at that price they will be bought and hardly ever driven.

Another lovely special edition Porsche that YOU CAN'T BUY. Seriously. You can't. Even if you have the money, you can't buy it. Go to your Porsche dealer and tell the salesman that you want to buy a 911 Sport Classic. You won't have to wait long for his laughter. They are all sold.
In fact, you can't even buy a 911 from your dealer, unless you are already a loyal customer who has bought a Macan or Panamera or Cayenne. Porsche has gone full Ferrari -- they only let you buy their better cars if you are a member of the club, and you will end up paying way over list price to get one. You might also have to buy a ridiculously overpriced watch in the bargain.
Porsche's recent behavior is totally disgusting.
$500,000 when they hit the used market. Way to screw the real drivers Porsche. Booooooo!

Over $270,000 for a Porsche that probably sits too low and feels cramped? No thank you. I'll stick with a Cayenne, Panamera, or Macan! That works for me.
It’s a Sports car, not another SUV or CUV, which are as common these days as a damn toothbrush.. Sports cars are a totally different experience.. Much more fun and engaging in a sports car.
