It does look special and I agree the interior is also lovely. The price however, is a bit extreme. Does it really look much better than, for example, a 992 GTS with aero kit? Appreciate they’re different cars but just looking at appearances, they both look so good and I can’t see the desirability with this, especially when other 911s can and do look almost as good.
Wasn’t a fan of Porsche but after watching Joe’s various videos about 992I did fell in love with it. The sport classic is an absolute beauty, especially the interior colour combination, forget about those alcantara damn I just love the leather! what an art! It’d be great if they also offer red body colour.
What you're describing at 9 minutes onwards is the difference between high power and high torque. High power figures are always the headline attention grabbers, like in the R8 you mention, but it's high torque that catapults you up the speedo
Another great review, Joe. I always enjoy your thoughtful perspective. Looking forward to the Carrera T review--as soon as I heard you say the base Carrera is your fave, I wondered whether you had driven the T yet...
Without doubt the most exclusive and individual 911 and worth every penny of the overs. The 7 speed box matches that of the PDK 7 speed in the Turbo S. once you driven both you will get that. A great video as many review videos missed the point of the car. It’s not a GT car you it’s Porsches finest non GT 911 todate. 👍🏻
Its cool but it doesn't seem to offer more than a manual GTS or even 4S. Its detuned and RWD compared to the turbo, but its still heavy. Nick Murray did a comparison between this and a GTS and found that to be the case. This seems to be a cool collector car rather than a truly amazing driving experience like the Dakar and S/T
Can't wait for the 'T' impressions Joe - mine arrives January anyway (I believe it WILL be the sweet spot) to complement my (recently landed) M3cT and (now 5 years old) M2c.
A Rolex Sports watch for the road. Unobtainium unless you’ve spent 6 figure sums with the approved dealers every year, for the last handful of years 😵💫
Amazing content always and have been subscribed to you for a while really unique and great reviews and love the format. Also featuring a lot of BMW and Porsche content which i'm a big fan of definitely the go to.
Joe, do you know if theres a sway to disable the autoblip in this or the gts? Great cars, but i think that some of the shifting engagement is stolen by that module
This is definitely a very special car. Porsche is the all time master in bringing special editions on the market and getting all potential buyers to freak out and pay any premium just to add this next car to their collection. To me this is totally ridiculous and people should not support the Porsche market strategy. I remember the days back in the 90‘s when the Porsche dealer rolled out their red carpet for any buyer. All this is history and forgotten. 😢😢😢
I’d say it’s worth MSRP, but I get why they are so highly valued. There is a feeding frenzy for the GT and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur special edition cars. Same will happen with the S/T. What I don’t get is people spending $100k for regular 5 year old 991.2 Carreras. Those cars should be depreciated down to $60k-75k yet people keep buying at stupid prices.
Great review as always. I think it’s no secret that you are a BMW guy, and with good reasons, it’s great cars in most cases. But I am a bit surprised that you haven’t tested the current Toyota Supra, I believe that is as close to a BMW you can get without buying a BMW?? Is there a specific reason for this, or did you try one and I missed it?
The 911 Sport Classic has lots of torque... and Joe certainly loves that in the video. But From what I've read it's delivered low and like a sledgehammer, not too different than a diesel or dare I say it, an EV. The problem with it is it doesn't really lead the the most engaging driving experience, which again is a page out of the EV book. Every gear feels largely the same, just brute torque, doesn't really matter where you are in the RPM range. The 7MT's power limits is I believe a reason why they neutered the power band at the high end of the RPM range. Still, it's a great GT car, but yeah I'd pick a different car
It's a lovely car, but I don't understand what thrills you are missing from a standard 911 that makes this worth so much money. It's a good 'investment', but that means you need to have the capital in the first place. Completely unattainable for most of us. I can't see £250k+ value in this vs. for example a 997 or 991 CS.
A 100k porsche and a 350k porsche look the same and yes i know the diferentes and that but overall look the same, with others you get a completely different car
I just don't get it. The interior stuff is fine, but the ducktail, RWD and manual shifter are just weird next to the turbo and carbon roof. It's not light, it's not high tech, and it's very, very expensive. Just buy a normal turbo S.
Porsche are now just investment pieces , sadly. It does not seem to even be a question if it is worth £350k - because it is not. However, it is an excellent way to give good Porsche customers a nice ££ boost that is also Tax free. Lol.
While I agree the 992 Turbo S is the best car ever made, you're not going to get one for that money new. Go spec one up... and then there's the whole problem of getting an allocation.
@@billnorblat4047 in auto trader right now theres 2 turbo s brand new for less than £180k all the rest are less than £215k and thats 173 cars. The only odd one out is brabus carbon 820bhp one for £320k but even that is still about £40k less than this car.
A specced-up Turbo S isn’t far short of the Sport Classic’s original list price. The gap only opens up with Used values, which of course is the only way to get a Sport Classic in the UK with our tiny allocations.
@@neilturner6749 a specced turbo s is a siff gravy to a stock classic. Only way a specced classic can conpare is to spend about £150k over the asking price. Day light robbery
A used one is going to cost you that much, the dealers raise these prices unnecessary. if you buy it from porsche itself, it'll cost you 220k only but you'll have to wait 5-7 months for it.
Of course it isn’t worth that much, all Porsche’s are way overpriced. The designs and engines are really old tech, the big wheels and tyres are just there for aesthetics but they do look good. When browsing on car sites it appears most of the Porsche’s for sale have far more previous owners than most other makes indicating that owners don’t keep them very long before off loading.
Does the steering wheel on this block 2 of dials on the dash? I test drove a Taycan 4S and I couldn’t see 2 of the dials which was really annoying - it could be driving position, I’m 6’1 so not THAT tall but wondered if anyone else had the same issue? And yeah the cupholders 🫠🫠 Brilliant video Joe, your content is always top notch 👍🏻
I have added the "Thanks" button (above), small channel donations will help keep me going in 2024 ♥
When you switched to the interior, the look on your face...
Even after days of driving, it's obvious how impressed you are.
Max commission on collecting cars is £7200 inc VAT so no they didn't pay 30k in fees.
It's definitely not worth £350k, but that won't stop people from paying £50-100k over the sticker price to get one.
Yh disabled people your right
An item is worth anything someone is willing to pay for it
@@blimeydude9789not exactly the saying but yeah
You are here for likes, you never been to one and never will.
If someone wants one and can afford it then it's worth it to them. Plus this car will appreciate in value through the year's
I wish I could have gone for it!. Opted for the 911 Carrera base model with great specs 😊
That’s plenty for road driving. Enjoy it!

That car is outrageous 🤤

The interior is the Heritage package which you can get in a 4S, down to the 911 badge albeit not in gold. About £7,500 option (which I want…)

Burmester is worth every penny. Best sound system found in cars 🔊
Porsche are masters and engineering and design ❤
They need to go back and remaster the design of the washer fluid tube on the GT4s.
And marketing
Thank you for the video. Beautiful 911. 🥇
6:11 min - anyone driving a manual shift while sipping a cup of coffee ☕ isn't serious about driving a stick shift. 😄
911 T is now the best carrera available as it perfectly reflects the pure nature of Porsche. This one simply is a collection piece.
Its cool but it doesn't seem to offer more than a manual GTS or even 4S. Its detuned and RWD compared to the turbo, but its still heavy. Very nice video on a exotic Porsche.
Can't wait for the 922.2 porsche to be released and for you to review it.
You make a honest review on cars
Another piece of unobtanium but thanks for feeding our dreams Joe, another wonderful video
For a collector apparently it is. For me, I would buy a GT3. Could even buy a low mile one from a flipper for that money.
@joeachilles ,I really enjoyed this post, but above all, I’m waiting for you to do a video on the 911 Turbo S….PLEASE 🙏🏾 Thanks mate.
Turbo S is the 992 to get, IMHO.
Amazing content always and have been subscribed to you for a while really unique and great reviews and love the format. Also featuring a lot of BMW and Porsche content which i'm a big fan of definitely the go to.
The best car I have ever driven. In regards to the price, that will always be subjective
Think i would of gone for a grey seat insert instead of white and black. Does look comfy
As always nice video, of a stunning car, beautifully delivered
16:32 min - I'd pick the Carrera 4S automatic AND the GTS manual.
Come on Powerball!!! 💰💸💰💵
Joe, do you know if theres a sway to disable the autoblip in this or the gts? Great cars, but i think that some of the shifting engagement is stolen by that module
We need you driving Turbo S 😎
It's for those who pay 500k for a Richard Mille , they will also find it a bargain.
It’s the best looking Porsche imho
I have the heritage leather on my 911 TTS absolutely exquisite
So what Carrera exactly would you get?
Saw one in the flesh last week. Man does that car look good
Beautiful wing, love the videos Joe!!
Love ur content bro

I'd guess part of the reason is that they're still cheaper than and faster to get than a new one
Joe nobody who have these cars will never eat or drink in them so don't worry bout cup holders
Great review as always.

Feel like it should've got the NA GT3 engine instead of the turbo
That's why they make the ST
Which you will also never be able to actually buy !!
Love it Joe cheers 😀
You feeling ok?
Have you driven the 911 cab S?
Any way you could do a similar video on the previous sport classic?
You've really got to drive the Daddy, the 992 Turbo S,,,
Hope the M2 is coming along…. Looking forward to the update

Nice we’re on the same page 😂
6 speed manual in the new ST model 👍❤
Manual, rwd, turbo, a drivers car
I’ll have a 911 R please, rarer and NA, best 911 I’ve driven by a country mile
That is a good looking Porsche 👌
My favourite Porsche
At MSRP but not a flippers prices , would rather have a pista for that same money
Will it get by my 5 grand R1…..
Lovely car, but not worth those sums!
Btw, I have those 20/21” wheels on 992 T (not with centre locks though)
You don’t drink coffee when you drive a 911
Masterpiece 😎
What a car.
Collecting cars buyers premium is £6 plus VAT I think. Not £25k
It's BURMESTER, not burmeIster.
That money better to invest in GT3 Touring....or even enough money for S/T
Which you also won’t be able to actually buy !!
Beautiful car BUT NO WAYYY is it worth 350k 😂 + mark up. Fkg ridiculous
Love the Sport Classic 🦆👌🏁 - back in real world a Carrera T would do, look 👀 forward to your review of that one! 👍

No
If this had the option for a moonroof or even a sunroof, I'd really want one.
Absolutely not worth £350k no car is
P car now become for very very rich people even used one is untouchable
No drinking in my Porsche.
nope.
No it’s not 😮
NFW
The 997 Sports Classic is far far nicer in my opinion.
On the 992 it’s just lipstick on a pig
I’d be afraid to drive it on road
White cloth seats are only suitable for vehicles that will rarely (if ever) be driven.
Nice looking car. But I will still happily drive my $70,000 2023 Corvette, which also has higher performance specs.
Lol
Not even close it’s a 60k car at best , it’s quite simple, it’s a limited run, u can’t buy , therefore won’t be watching cars you can’t by 👍
Theres no way this is worth £350k thats a joke plain and simple. A turbo s is £160-180k
