Thanks for the effort in making this video. Very good. I took my intake off to clean the valves. I took the 4 bolts out of the throttle body and just let it hang instead of messing with coolant and hoses It worked good that way. I am going to replace my injectors I am going to try and remove the rail and injectors together and unclip on the bench. Torque on the rail bolts are 13.7-17.4 ft. lbs 👍
I appreciate you showing us but the way you put those oring are backwards lmao! Also I done this job and you took way more than what it should quite frankly took me about 2hrs to do it all.
So from what I can tell, for someone as experienced as yourself, this isnt a single days job.....seemed doable till you removed about 30 different hoses lol. Debating if i want to tackle this now or not.....dealer installed 1 recently which is currently failing and im thinking about having them replace other 3 since the one is covered under 10k parts warranty......or if i should just do it myself and save myself an hour drive on a light misfiring engine 😬
honestly it isnt hard that job of a task. yes there is a bunch of little attachments, but as for as difficult situations, there is not. for less understanding people, get a thin roll of blue tape, and just wrap it around EVERYTHING, even a easy connection. So no matter what you wont forget it. and just have the video right there to pause.

@@hyr0llr alright so i just tried my luck, took it to dealer and they charged me $100 for a pointless injector flush in which I learned some things. Hopefully you can give an opinion on what it possibly may be. So my car runs almost perfectly fine aside from when i start it up in the morning in which it runs a little higher on rpms to warm up. My main issue is random misfires from all cylinders (thrown as single cylinders at different times) . Got new coils, new plugs, and car idles like its perfectly fine when at operating temperature. I can drive the vehicle like normal with light throttle even up to highway speeds, but the issue starts when i throttle mid to heavily....like merging into traffic or something. Basically just about any time im not feathering the gas pedal, the car will start jerking and throw a misfire code beginning around 2500rpm and up. Im already on my 3rd engine 🤦♂️(long story) with this car and my loan isn't going away anytime soon, my last guess was possibly a sensor (02 or map) but im tired of throwing money into this thing. Just to guess and be wrong again.
@@hyr0llr symptoms seem really close to the tps failure, so I'll definitely try that out. And doesn't seem like much to bring it to dealer and fix. Checked and cleaned map so, definitely gonna monitor tps and if anything thats my next replacement. yes sir. its not as simple as the videos shows. i show what yu have to do. but its more in depth messing with the bolts and all. But it is doable, if you take your time and mark the steps as yu go.

I know these hoes ain't cheap

Wow, I'm thankful that my 2.4 (08 Rondo) has the injectors on the topside of the intake manifold. Sorry you had to go through all of that. I wonder why they changed it.
@@hyr0llr I really wish that they (The designer) would consider the mechanic who has to work on them first. Not for the people to look at. A motor is there to do a job. Not to be pretty.
The '08 has multi-port injection where the injectors spray into the intake manifold. the newer engines are gdi (direct injection), and the injectors spray directly into the combustion chamber.
Looks easy once the injectors come in ill know what to do exactly now, I thought direct injection injector job might be harder but it looks the same as ported injection just more work
you can bleed to make sure. but the throttle body doesnt use much coolant. so after the first drive after the car completely cools off, you can check the level and top off as needed
@@hyr0llr thanks I was having a hard time finding replacements Injectors finally found a place that will service and clean mine, for $35 a piece. So I'll be taking them out Saturday to drop off Monday

Big thanks for your video, I would have looked and looked for those bolts that hold the bottom of the intake, only thing I did do different was just undid the throttle body so I didn't have to mess with the coolant lines. I’m getting an engine misfire code for cylinder number 2, I changed my spark plugs, swapped ignition coils, clean air filter, no noticeable vacuum leaks. Any idea what it could be? It’s a 2016 Kia optima Lx 2.4L .Thanks
Hello would this cause gas to leak into the oil. I have gas getting into my oil and cannot find out whats wrong i have no codes coming up at alk. And its running great not showing any problems so was windering if this could cause that
i honestly dont believe so. after rewatching the video when the intake is off, i dont see anywhere that gas can get in. Do you smell gas when you pop the hood?

@@swamp9047 yeah thats a hard one since there are many different things that can be the reason. Best bet is to get it diagnosed. i wouldnt want to suggest something and you go down the rabbit hole of trying to figure it out. lol
@@Galactic810 if i did this again off camera i would just go from left to right installing the injector on the rail, making sure to squeeze the metal fork on top to lock in the injectors, then as a whole assembly, slowly guide all 4 injectors into their respective hole and bolt the rail down.
@@hyr0llr i had to change the. Value cover gasket cause it was leaking oil into the plugs and then I changed them out it ran for like a week and now misfiring

@@bestbomb17 yeah sounds like your looking in the right direction with the MAP. i would say also look into the throttle positioning sensor(TPS).

You can do it, man. Its not as complicated and scary as a timing belt replacement. This is cake compared to other jobs.

Could you show how to pull the injector plug off
its just a wiggle out. the only thing holding it after you remove the locking tabs is just o-ring friction

Its good practice to replace them since its apart. But if they arent torn up and look good, go ahead and reuse them

No. Just fixed the leak.

I just replaced the spark plugs and coil pack and valve cover gasket and now i get p0301 misfire do you think it would be the injector
@@touchback8 swap the number 1 with the number 4 coilpack and see if thr problem follows or it stays on the same cylinder

Sounds like a fuel/spark problem
Where is the support bracket.you flipped straight to the spot which didn't help at all.
Yeah i apologize for not showing how to get to it. If you go under the car and remove the tray, you will see that triangle peeice bracket.
At 8:30 if you pause. If you look at the lower middle, you can see that bracket.
And at 8:53 if you pause. Right down at the bottom of the screen
