im very thankful i have a tiny space to quilt in otherwise i might get in trouble with leaving things all over the place lol, i have hoarding tendencies and want to save to everything
It’s amazing what we collect in our sewing spaces that have no rhyme or reason…especially left overs from grands. 😝 I cleaned out my overflow storage room last week and oh boy…the items I found!!! Pretty sure I have enough zippers to make travel bags for the entire neighborhood. 🤪
I love that you are doing Karen’s declutter with her. I love both of your channels. I have noticed that other creators are using Karen’s tips and tricks format as their own as if they came up with the declutter challenge as their own. Kudos to you. Love your channel. ❤🪡🧵
Hello, from N. W. Ill. uder 15 this Tuesday morning. Those tiny scraps you put in the trash gave me a ( twringy) feeling because my 5 yr. old grandaughter LOVE ❤ toplay with them to make back drops for blocks or post cards of many colors. I would GRAB them fro you if I was there!!! I too am cleaning my quilt studio and rearranging it this month...Good luck in your adventure. ❤
I save little scraps, especially the triangle cut-offs for my granddaughters. The love to make collages out of them. However, they can only use so much, or they end up all over their craft room
I cleaned and decluttered in December so I could ID 12 projects I wanted to complete for a challenge with the Quilted Forest. Feels great to start a project in a clean room.
I am a messy quilter, throwing scraps on the floor but I declutter after every quilt I make. It's a mad cycle. Loved your quilts. Some looked to be reversible.
Boy, I need to do this to my whole house. My sewing room is the worst. Today, I had to dig my way out of my house. The back door was blocked and sealed with Ice. I could not make that door move. The front door was also blocked by snow and ice; but, I was able to push the door open about 3 inches. Three inches is better than nothing. I dug, pushed, cracked ice and moved enough of the snow and ice mess to squeeze out the door. I shovel the front deck clear. Then I walked around my house and shoveled the back deck clear (and opened the back door). I didn't have to climb out a window this time. However, clearing the mess the truck with the snow plow pushed into my driveway is another matter. I gave up and went back to the house to warm myself. My street side mail box is down after the truck with the snow plow pushed it over. I may be able to save the metal box; but, the wooden pole is a goner. Do I love snow and ice? NO! It is too cold outside. I can't stay out there for very long.
Oh isn’t decluttering fun. I think this is my 4th year. When you did your clean up I got the bug to straighten my drawers and organize them so I have a jump on Decluttering. Love your show and tell. I found things I forgot I had stored. I got thru the patterns in 2 days. I had printed ones, on line and Pinterest.Even organized them all day yesterday. No rest. Hope yours goes well. 😊
I’m in Louisiana! Where in Louisiana are you from? I used to have a friend named Suzanne, her sister was April……her family moved away to somewhere and lost touch. Love decluttering, it makes your space so conducive for creating!!!
Your work is beautiful! I can sew somewhat of a straight line ( I use a sewing machine in my Junk Journaling) :) Your craft room is also an awesome space!
I need to do this too. Lord knows I have been trying. the sewing room is not getting heat, so to clean in there is not happening quickly. I have been doing sewing in the dining room, and it looks just as bad if not like the sewing room. So today I organized and cleaned that. I have to find proper storage space and not buy anymore fabric until I use what I have. ( yeah right) lol My sewing room is my children's old bedroom; they are all grown with families of their own. I tried to cut fabrics into sizes and put them in containers, but there seems so end to that lol. I love the three-yard quilts too as well as other patterns I get offline.
Just love your channel and since we are all home bound due to ice and low temps. And I haven’t done anything with my sewing space except make numerous piles LOL you have motivated me to make room in there! Also, have you ever seen any of Sue Penn’s fabric lines? I think you would absolutely love her fabric! Thanks so much April for the nudge!!!!!
Moved in November. Got my sewing room in organized status 1…. Left to spend Christmas with our daughter n family. Got Bavaria home on the 30th, to out Florida room n laundry room, flooded. Soooo now my sewing room is back in a total mess. Aughhh!
I loved your show and tell. The backings were amazing. Can you share how many 1/2 square triangles made those 2 quilts with or point me to your tutorial on it if you have one? Thanks

That kinda sounds like me, lol😊
I think your declutter challenge has turned into a fabric haul video, lol. 😅
OOOHHH. A five-yard quilt book! It's not on their website yet!! I, too, need to declutter! And organize. Roxanna

Decluttered a year ago...not intentionally either; we had a house fire. Lost so much. Starting over! Keep your seams straight & feel the love!
I buy as I need or use stuff I ve had but had to straighten up my area
Ohio State Buckeye colors..love it!
You should store the Grandones Jelly Roll class on a toilet roll
WHEN I have quilts I have made and there is no home for them. I give them to be auctioned off for our church
I want snow outside too! I live in Phx and it’s finally in the 60’s during the day instead of the 70’s. I love the cold weather
Love all the quilts you’ve bound!
Just love your channel and since we are all home bound due to ice and low temps. And I haven’t done anything with my sewing space except make numerous piles LOL you have motivated me to make room in there!

Ooh Orpheus and green paisley….all my faves together!
I definitely need to declutter as well.
April, loved your finished quilts. The red and grey was really sharp. What size fabric squares were those? It looked bigger than 10”.
I believe those fabrics are from Frans' second collection.
Moved in November. Got my sewing room in organized status 1…. Left to spend Christmas with our daughter n family. Got Bavaria home on the 30th, to out Florida room n laundry room, flooded. Soooo now my sewing room is back in a total mess. Aughhh!
OMG --- that is horrible... I am so sorry ... I hope you can get it back the way you want
I am so sorry for al this for you!
@ it will get there soon, first things first …fix the plumbing in guest bathroom.
You know when I have a mistake like your jelly roll race I just cut the scene off instead of taking it out.
Im just going to try to only buy background fabric and backing this year and try to use all the material i have on hand.
I love that idea, using up what you have!
I loved your show and tell. The backings were amazing. Can you share how many 1/2 square triangles made those 2 quilts with or point me to your tutorial on it if you have one? Thanks
Where do you store your completed quilts? Thanks for video
Beautiful work space ❤
❤❤❤
What do you use the pool noodles for
I have the same question.
Me too. Why so many?
Don't rip those seams of the jelly roll quilt, just cut along the seam and call it a day!

What is that bundle under your elbow when you start cleaning up your work surface?
Do you have a link or discount for the wool mat? I don’t see it in you description .
The large 2nd one I'm doing now...
Hi April
Hi!
I think you should put those finished quilts for sale.
Make a curtain out of roe panel and cover the 12 square unit. .too pretty to hide or cut up.
If you don't have a home for those quilts, give them to be auctioned off.
April, would you please share the name and item number if you have it for this Rose Panel? Thank you, always love your videos .
Maybe give the quilts you found to a Vet ,a shut in or a woman's shelter, they would appreciate them greatly.
You make me laugh!
Why not do a giveaway for one of the quilts?
I will take your scraps
Hi April
