    I wanna know if there is a super fan out there who has watched every episode and kept a running tally of how much they have made on each house. Let's say their average profit was $50,000 per house. This show was on for 10 seasons/155 episodes that equals $7,750,000! We know minimally that's the ballpark. I think they have made about $25M over the life of their relationship and real estate deals. I need a super fan to prove me right or wrong.

      I haven't tried to add it all up myself, but I would say that you are probably correct. I saw online since they divorced what their house that she kept is worth, and it's crazy. I do like this show, but she is just too snotty and he is more down to earth. And do women like her really think you can't tell that they have extensions in their hair? I'm sure that there's a way to make it look natural, but most of them don't.

      @@kimberlykidd3755 Oh I think we all knew that Christina was a handful!! When they were married Tarek ALWAYS gave into her design ideas which was super annoying. Plus every bathroom she designed in the earlier episodes was exactly the same!! That square inset for hair and body products. You are right. Christina is snotty, full of herself, and got an attitude on her that can fill a room. I was surprised she stuck with Tarek when he was diagnosed with cancer. The extensions aren't as bad as Britney's when she was going through her episodes in 2007. It must be really expensive to get a professional to blend those things in your scalp properly. Maybe the show doesn't have someone who's good @ doing that. How much was their house when they divorced? Do you remember?

    • @CC-si3cr
      @CC-si3cr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@corinneshepard9179 I don't think the new wife is much different than Christina. She just hides her inner spoiled, stuck up attitude bc she wants to come across to the public as nice. I'm not buying it. On their new show I heard her make a comment about how she doesn't know anything about fixing up a house bc she usually deals in million dollars homes that are ready to sell. I do not see new blonde wife walking into a hot mess like the house in this video and being happy about it. Plus Tarek clearly has a type: long blonde hair, pin thin w/no butt. There's nothing wrong with that, but don't be surprised when he goes through the same thing again.

      The house did come out really nice. I was very surprised. I have no answer about how these houses get to the condition they are in once Tarek and Christina buy them. Not everyone can be depressed and decide to let the upkeep of the house go. At first I thgt destroying the house was done in anger, but those pipes tell the story that they never had the money to keep that house in good standing. You know homeownership isn't for everyone. It's expensive to do all of the necessary upgrades to a home. Sometimes I feel homeownership is overrated.

      It seems that it could have been an elderly or infirm person, as one of the beds had assist panels at the sides. More support for aging in place could be great for such people.

    • @kimberlykidd3755
      @kimberlykidd3755 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ginacrusco234 I completely agree with you. And older people are usually very sentimental and they want to stay put where they live until they die. My husband's grandmother passed away when she was close to 90 years old, and lived in a little shack of a place for many years where the bedroom and living room were one small room, and she had a kitchen, and a bathroom, though I don't remember there being a bathtub or shower in it, but she was clean, so I guess she just washed herself with soap and water in the sink, which it's funny, because around here they call it w**** baths LOL, but she was a wonderful upstanding, salt of the earth woman who married when she was probably 13 or 14, and she was terribly abused by her husband, and raised many children, probably about 10, though she did have a couple pass away right after they were born, so add two or three more onto that number, and she even divorced him, which back in the day was unheard of, she was born sometime in the late 1800s. She paid about $20 a month or so to rent it, and she could have easily gotten a really nice place based on her income, but she liked to get out and work in her yard with her flowers, and she said that she would not leave out of there until she was dead, and she didn't. I firmly believe that there should be more help for older people or infirm people to be able to stay in their own homes rather than in nursing homes. It costs less money, but of course the healthcare industry and nursing homes don't want that to happen!

      Most definitely the houses that they redo are gorgeous, but I just can't believe what houses in their area go for! Where I live, the house next door is big and on about an acre of a flat corner lot, and we live out of the city limits, and they have a decent sized in ground pool, and it's only worth about 400 grand. Bigger rooms outside, and they are great neighbors which come of course, has nothing to do with this show.

    House turned out fabulous. The exterior is on the plain side but still, 100% improvement. The large living room is sort of a requirement in rural and smaller communities where families gather, friends come over, kids congregate... Preferably 2 living areas so kids can separate or adults can when gatherings occur, even if it's comfy seating in the kitchen.

    The green tile didn't work either. I don't know what she was thinking because it didn't go with anything else. I can't believe I'm saying this, not grey would have been a better fit, in order to blend with the rest of the house.
