- Let have one of my favorite Mexican dishes - (TACOS DE CAZUELA en Salsa Roja) This has been a long day. We had to go buy feed in Ocotlan. Then while we wait for the meat to cook, we will be feeding the animals, filling feed buckets and look for old glass in the back yard. Always a blessed day her in our Rancho in Mexico.

I found your channel 3 days ago and I’ve been binge watching ever since. I, too, moved to Mexico, although under different circumstances. I’m retired and inherited property my parents owned 12 years ago after they passed. Your journey is amazing. You may not think yourself brave, but how many people would have the courage to do what you have done? I speak fluent Spanish and it took me years to feel completely comfortable here. The people are super nice here but the lifestyle is totally different. Now, I can’t imagine ever going back. It’s a simpler life and you seem to have adjusted beautifully. Good luck to you and your family. Don’t worry about the negative comments. You’re channel is so entertaining.
Oh my goodness I just found her channel yesterday and I've been watching all that I can. She has the most pleasant way of talking and teaching and sharing I could listen to her all day long. She is definitely gifted
You have reached heaven on earth God has definitely blessed you and your family. At 68 years old I know it isn't all roses for you but you make it sound like it is and that's what's important having a positive attitude. It's not an easy life but it's the best life I'm telling you. The food you eat is so pure I am so happy for you and your children. If I had my life to do over again I would ask God to allow me to do what you're doing. I've always had a fascination for Mexico and South America I did spend some time in Chile and I found the people to be the best ever
I love how even though the flauta question wasn’t very nice, you still answered it with such grace. 🥰
Thank you! I have to choose not to focus on any negative comments people say because I have so many beautiful people like you supporting and loving my family. Thank you for watching and have a blessed day.
My favorite enchiladas are cheese with onion.
Sweetheart, you dont have to explain the way you make things, if all of us would cook the same way, life would be soooooo boring, cook for you and your children the way yo do and enjoy every bite of it , and it seems you do ❤❤
Yes, please ignore those comments from ignorant people saying that's not how you make this or that Mexican dish. Every Mexican dish varies by state, and one dish recepi will change by region. I love flautas de queso, and flautas de res, but I would never eat de pollo 😂.
Thank you for talking about accents, I was born in Mexicali but moved to California at 13yrs old. My accent is not as heavy, but I still struggle with some combination of sounds like the "Thir" in thirty, "char" sound comes like "shar" out of my mouth 😂😂, and a few other combination of sounds, so I tried substituting for other words lol. I embrace every person who has an accent no matter the nationality.
When you told Anabel to go tell the kids the food was ready and she just yelled it.🤣😂 I think every parent has experienced this.😁
So proud of you! I miss Mexico so much. Just the simplicity of life in Mexico is amazing
I think that you deserve to know that you are one of the sweetest persons I have found in TH-cam! Like so much how you and your kids adapted to Mexico and your beautiful life coming from crazy USA! So really that people that like to judge or be opinionated can just find something else to watch or do! Not only that, I am an old lady and I really think you are beautiful! You derserve all the happiness in the world! God bless you!❤❤❤❤
Thank you ! You have me crying. Its people like you that bring so much joy and love into this world. Thank you for watching and supporting our family. Have a beautiful, blessed day :)
Hello beautiful Erin, for the lady that said flautas have chicken in them. They are not called flautas because they have chicken in them.
Why are flautas called flautas?
The word “flauta” itself is derived from the Spanish word “flauta,” which means “flute,” and refers to the long, thin shape of the rolled tortilla.
So we can all make flautas and put whatever we want in them and they’re still called flautas. Enjoy 🥰
Wow thank you for your genius explanation
I’m sure you googled it 😂
What you said the first 9 minutes of your video was beautiful! My mom always had an accent even though she was fluent in both speaking and writing in English. We all need to have grace and mercy. Love sent from Tejas, mija. 💜
Flautas are made to your own liking, whether they have chicken, beef, papas or cheese; it’s how your family likes to eat them PERIOD! The salsa as well, you can make it chunky, if not then you make it thin. I’m just proud of how you’ve adapted to a different country and you try your best with the language and food. ❤🙏🏼 love from California
It hurts my heart to see my own people criticize, judge, and treat people the way that perhaps their elders were treated. We have to be better and loving people. I am sorry someone posted mean comments or is under the impression that Mexico is a monolithic society. Mexico is rich in culture (not all the same), and gastronomy (it's different depending on where you are) and its' indigenous roots are my favorite part of Mexico. My grandma made a mole that in Colotlan we call "pipian." My mom still makes it, it has pumpkin seeds and it is my favorite. My grandma did not call flautas, my choice was "taquitos" what we now call flautas or "tacos" the crunchy tacos we all know and love. My tacos or taquitos were made of: frijoles, papas o queso because I don't eat meat. My enchiladas were made of cheese and onion. My grandma would also make for a picnic "tacos camperos." which were made out of beans they were NOT fried they were heated on the "comal" until crunchy. She would make a red "chile de molcajete" to go with the tacos camperos. It is one of my favorite memories because I recall them being so hard to eat unless you heated them up again. My grandma would say that nachos and burritos were a US invention. My choice was Taco the "tortilla de harina or tortilla de maiz." I never studied Spanish so in advance I ask for your forgiveness for my grammar. I hope you consider writing and eBook about "recetas de mi suegro" I would buy it. You make me feel like it's possible for me to learn how to cook. Keep on working on your TH-cam channel I pray that you get to the 100,000 mark and that you can make some income for you and your family. Tu esposo see gano la loteria contigo (Your husband won the lottery with you). Things I learned by attending PowWows. Did you know that Pozole was made by the Navjo Indians? I was shocked to learn that it was a Navajo dish. I shared with the Navajo Food stand that my mother is from Jalisco and she makes it "RED," but my friend's mom who is from northern Mexico makes it white like the one they were selling. My guess is that after the Mexican American war event he Native American Indians were displaced some stayed on the US side and some on the Mexican side. How lucky are we because Pozole is my favorite.
I’ve made flautas with chicken, steak, ground beef. Does not just need to be chicken 😭 ppl are know it alls
I agree you can make them so many ways. I think some people don't understand how big the world is.How do you like your flautas best? . Thanks you for watching have a blessed day :)
The other popular type is potato flautas
@@jalf2828 I always include papas in mine!! 😁
You are a beautiful person. I love the way you express yourself with such kindness. God bless you and your family.❤
I can’t believe some comments are so rude! Keep that beautiful smile Erin and ignore the ignorance.
Living your best life. You’re a wonderful mother and graceful person. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
I live in a small town in the central valley of California. We have a primarily Hispanic community, I grew up eating just like them. Every Friday, my family and I go to the market and eat at the same taco truck. I absolutely love where I live.
What a blessing you got to grow up with so much joy. Thanks for watching have a blessed day.

God bless you all. ❤
Always injoy watching your family videos Don't be Dumb hit the Thumb for this wonderful family support them on there journey.
I’ve lived in small towns in Mexico, you’re portraying the life impeccably.
I like watching your videos because you have the most soothing voice. I can only imagine it was easy to get your kids to sleep(when they were babies), just by talking/singing to them with that voice. 👍😊
Those baby ducks are SO ADORABLE! Thank you for sharing your tacos de cazuela recipe with us! Enjoy your weekend!
Just watched your video from south of San Antonio! I so enjoy watching and now have my husband watching too. Flautas are good anyway they are made. I may try making your tacos cazuelas now. They look so yummy.
You have a Beautiful family. You are so brave to have moved to México and I appreciate how you love our México.
Im from Mississippi and in my 50s. Ive lived in Mexico for about 4 years. I can assure you no matter what language I am speaking theres going to be an accent. Even within a country, people have different accents. It doesn't matter if you have an accent. Communication skills have nothing to do with an accent. ❤❤❤from Tlaxcala
You and your family are so sweet and genuine. I love watching your blogs. I think you are doing great explaining things and speaking Spanish. 🥰
As a Mother and Grandmother who's ancestors were from Mexico (northern states where they made and ate flour tortillas but also made corn for enchiladas), I've long wanted to see more of Jalisco like Guadalajara and the smaller towns.....you'd make an excellent hostess to say a senior woman traveling alone as I do as a widow, and I've enjoyed staying with working class Mexican families and they and I both benefitted as it's less expensive for me and I like knowing families who can use extra money are being supported! Veronica 🌹
Thanks for answering and or looking at all the comments ❤
Everyone makes their food/salsas different. These keyboard warriors say things they won't say in person. LOVE ❤️ Your videos and girls.😊
Hi, from Arizona. I found your channel a couple months ago and love it! I think you are so amazing with your children and everything you do at your rancho. I am amazed at everything you do there by yourself. You are right, learning a second language as an adult is very challenging. I learned English and Spanish as a child, but my husband only speaks English. He has been listening to me speak Spanish with my family and has only picked up words, so I know it is very challenging to learn it. I grew up in a very traditional Mexican family and spent a lot of time with my extended family in Mexico, and watching your videos brings back many childhood memories. Yes, flautas are made with chicken, but when we cook for our families, we will make them how they like them. I admire how you respond to not-very-nice questions or comments. You respond with such respect and grace. You are doing a great job cooking Mexican dishes and speaking the language! 😊
Just know we understand you. No one is perfect don’t mind the negative comments. Erin I really appreciate how you take the time to show your cooking to us thank you very much. May the lord keep blessing you and giving you grace. Much love to you and your familia🙏🏼❤️
Maravilloso es un honor estar con un gran luchador social defensor de los umildes Andre's Manuel Lopez Obrador ♥️💯
There is no right or wrong way to make salsa you make it how you like it 🥰 and I think flautas are rolled tacos doesn’t matter what is in them I can’t believe people really complain about everything but I love your videos and I love how you say certain words like verdura and lechuga no hate here I love the way you speak 🥰 and it makes me very proud to see how happy you are living in the rancho! ❤️ I love Mexico too ❤️❤️
thank you for answering questions, you are seriously swaying me on moving to mexico.
I love to watch your videos while I make dinner. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful rancho, recipes & family. Dona Tibu from Arizona 🦋🦋🦋
Flautas are my favorite food. I have made them with everything. Shredded beef, chicken, cheese, mashed potatoes with chorizo. I don’t think I’ve ever made the same salsa twice either. Using what you have is less wasteful. You’re doing a great job!
I’m camping with the family and watching your videos
You're making me so hungry watching you cook that yummy 😋 food there and I'd like to try to make that.
I’ve so enjoy your videos. You inspire me to cook. I love watching you guys life in Mexico! Thank you for sharing!
So very well said. You are doing an amazing job and its so interesting to watch your vlogs. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us.
Love watching your videos and your kids
My Mom is from Spain and of course she has a very strong accent. She has lived in the US for close to 70 years and knows English and Spanish but will always have her lovely Spanish accent.
You are a wonderful person and truly blessed. Your Spanish is great. You are doing very well for it being your second language. I totally commend you for addressing issues with love ❤️ Yes every family, region and ranchos cook differently. That’s okay! I love to see you cook and see what you see in your rancho. Thank you for sharing ❤
My Mom would put a warmed heart of the onion in my ear whenever I had an earache as a little girl. It works!
I just discovered your channel, and I love it! So much joy, and happiness through your videos. You’re so blessed to have a great family in such a wonderful place! 😊
It is so amazing that your husband and your self want your children to know their culture language the food you have made an excellent choice to move home this is a beautiful culture and country!
You go girl! You are so sweet. You really don't have to address the negative comments or explain yourself to anyone. Keep having a great time vlogging. You are doing such a great job! I enjoy watching how your enjoying living, loving and learning in beautiful 🇲🇽 God bless you and the family ❤ 🙏 from Texas...
I happenstance on you and just love watching you and your family And your response about flautas is totally on point!!! Looking forward to seeing more updates 😊
So true about regional differences in how to make beans, salsas, rice and flautas. I love going to different states in Mexico because the way food is prepared is just a bit different but always so delicious. Oaxaca has some of the best mole, Queretero has some of the best pozole, Orizaba has the best Tortas de Pavo, Mexico City has some of the best tacos de canasta. (Steamed tacos in a basket). That is the beauty of Mexico, there is always something delicious to enjoy! Blessings to your family.
I’m impressed with your cooking! It looks delish! My hubby is Mexican and I have learned a lot of Mexican cooking too. I love Mexican food! Such kind words about having an accent. It is so true! I feel super self conscious about speaking Spanish. I think your Spanish is impressive in such a short time!
You are so brave to move to Mexico More power to 👍👍👍
Esos tacos se mira que están sabrosos saludos para su familia
Almost like birria tacos with the consomme. Yum😊
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Some places call them quesabirria tacos that you eat with the consome, different regions in mexico call them differently, such as in this case, tacos de casuela, which look delightful. Buen provecho! Bendiciones! ❤🙏
Watching fm La Verne, Ca.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are so sweet explaining details that many people are a bit ignorant. You did a great job explaining each persons concerns I LOVE Mexico 🇲🇽 love living the humble culture and awesome food. I already copy some of your (the food you have cooked). I married a man from West Virginia I am a Mexican American and grew up enjoy the Mexican food from my family from the Rancho in Mexico.. my mom is from a ranch in Nuevo León and my Dad from a ranch in Jalisco❤❤❤❤.
Thank you so much for always being so kind and sharing your life and your recipes ❤❤❤ I’m glad you take ppls comments and questions with a grain of salt. People need to realize that everyone makes food to their own likings and family’s likings and it doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I grew up making flautas with cheese, shredded beef, shredded chicken and I have an aunt who use to make them with ground beef so for someone to try to say you making them with cheese is not right I’m here to tell you keep doing you mama your food looks amazing and your babies love it and that is what matters ❤❤❤❤ I also want to say i think your Spanish is great it’s better then you not trying at all. People need to keep their comments to themselves, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all!! We all have faults and none of us are perfect even though I’m sure there are some out there that would like to think they are (sorry your not) just be nice ppl. Anyways thanks for another amazing video be blessed ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Soooooo many things could be learned about living better from Mexicans❤❤❤
Todo lo que haces nos recuerda a nuestro pueblo de cada estado de la república mexicana
Holland Mich blessings
I love the ceilings design ❤
Where I’m from we call them flautas my mother in law in Poncitlan Jalisco they call them taquitos I make vegan flautas for my husband with beans and vegan meat inside and I still call them flautas Thank you for explaining to others, You are a such a wonderful person
New subscriber here!❤ I'm Hispanic, born, raised live in Texas and live right by the northern border of Mexico. Its so nice of you to explain why or how you do things. You're doing great! There are people that are so isolated and only know what they've experienced, and they think it's the only way. But on the flauta thing lol. We make flautas with chicken, shredded beef, cheese, potatos, where I'm from. So doesnt matter,to whoever says it's only chicken. The same for enchiladas. Just depends on the person or family preference. I'm binge watching your channel! Love it. ❤️ 😊
21:05 Dios mio !! Que Rico , my mouth is just watering
I'm gonna make them my mouth is watering lol
Love watching your channel especially when you cook
I'm from Mexico close to you and our flautas were never made with chicken they till this day we make them with requeson, mashed potatoes or defried beans. The chicken ones we started making ofter moving to socal.
You're already Mexican bc you say things like "Imagine if...." ❤ You're so kind and I love how you're standing up for me, bc my Spanish sucks and I'm Mexican . So it's always been a sore spot for me with Mexicans who are fluent not understanding why I don't speak Spanish. Well, my family doesn't speak it. Simple. And then non Spanish speakers don't understand why I don't speak it either. Just because I'm brown doesn't mean I know Spanish. So hats off to you for TRYING! You're awesome.
I look forward to your videos! Thank you for sharing your life with us. Watching from British Columbia, Canada
I think you have a beautiful accent and I love listening to you speak. You seem like someone who would be very interesting to meet and visit with. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
I made pico de gallo following your recipe, and it was DELICIOUS!! The pico tastes better after a few days because the flavors blend together. Those tacos looked so good too!
I’m Mexican American from migrant parents and when I go to their hometown in Zacatecas, people comment that I have an accent 😂
They even say my mom does too! I don’t hear it but I guess when Spanish is all you hear, accents are pretty distinctive. I love my California girl accent. I wouldn’t change my mom’s accent either! ❤
Is it true Zacatecas has some dangerous areas? Someone I know… his mom is also from Zacatecas and said it can get a little sketch where they built a house. Although think that’s prolly true about everywhere.
I enjoy your vlogs and admire how you do so much with a beautiful attitude 😊
Erin. we ❤ your channel. Keep it up you are unique & one of a kind. Your way of addressing/answering is just pure class. Dios te Bendiga Hermosa. Yes agree we are from different states of 🇲🇽 & our cooking will be diiferent & yes respect & have grace. 🙏🏼🇲🇽🇺🇸🫶🏻
Its so insane to me that anyone would criticize an american for not having a fully authentic mexican accent! 🤯 People are so brave behind their keyboards. 😂😂 Ive retained a decent mexican accent from growing up speaking it but you still speak circles around me. I think you do wonderfully, especially considering that you learned as an adult. Your channel is lovely and makes me want to revisit Mexico someday and your food always looks so amazing. Please keep the vlogs coming!
Are you kidding me? It works the same both ways. I worked in Call centres before an old USA people would complain if someone had a slight accent.
Hola beautiful familia. Erin, you make your food your way for you & your kids. Everyone has their own way of making their food. Sometimes you have to get creative on what you have on hand. For instance, I wanted taquitos. We had no meat, so I used black beans that I cooked the night before. I added onion, jalapeño, garlic & chopped bell peppers. Rolled them up & fried them. Topped with lechuga, guacamole y salsa. Delicious! Just a tip if you ever want to slightly thicken your chili verde salsa, add 1 lightly fried corn tortilla into the blender with the salsa. Yum Oaxaca cheese is my favorite besides panela, manchengo, queso fresco y Cotija. I like to fry the Oaxaca cheese and platanos so good. The baby goat is finally getting chunkers. I'm so happy he's doing better. The baby ducks are growing so fast, they are so precious. Have a beautiful Sunday. Blessings from Ensenada 💕
Dam them tacos de kasuela looking BOMB!!!! No cap.
HOPE YOU DONT MIND BUT IM JUST WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS SO I CAN GO LIVE THIER ONE DAY SOON ❤
I love watching your videos and the way you cook and how you make your salsas , I am from Mexico City, living in NYC . Thank you for loving my culture. Gracias ❤ Saludos para tus hijos, son adorables.
You’re doing awesome with your Spanish and your cooking!!! ❤
I’m Mexican and I love the way you talk about my country .
I find your accent very cute and I’m impressed with the way you’re embracing my culture. There’s many hispanics that are not teaching their kids Spanish . What you’re doing is amazing. I would have trouble adjusting in another state I can only imagine in a whole other country that’s speaks a different language.
Just ignore the comments about your spanish, you are doing great! You should have heard my dad and yes my mom and him were married over 48 years when he died. He could never speak it at all. He had his own language we would say but yes, everyone in our Costa Rican family side understood him LOL Dad was from North Carolina and we grew up in NC and later moved to Costa Rica after he retired from the USMC. Soo ignore them all, your spanish is good and your cooking too. It is not so easy to cook mexican food and you are doing it great too! Greetings from Guatemala
Omg! Tacos look amazing 😋
Erin we love your videos and your family just the way they are. Thank for all your work.
Hey girl, hey! Can totally relate to what you said about not having meat everyday. Alot of ours were vegetarian growing up and I still eat that way as an adult with having meat dishes sparingly through the week.
I love your videos saludos hermosa familia bendiciones
I love all of your recipes! I'm learning so much about Mexico and Mexican food from your channel, even if it's specific to your Ranchero. I made beans yesterday for the first time and salsa with tomatillos, and it was amazing (and I thought I didn't like beans😂)!
You are such a beautiful soul! And your children are so adorable❤️ I love your energy and how you find joy in everyday life. I’m from Los Angeles and I’m daydreaming to move to Mexico one day…(I believe I was from there in my past life!)😊🇲🇽✨But in the meantime, I am so happy to have found your channel and learning the culture from you! Much love and blessings!🤗💕
I found your channel around 3 weeks ago and I am obsessed you have a beautiful family I am from California and I just want it to tell you that there is always going to be hateful people but you don’t worry your channel is amazing my name is Angie
May the almighty God bless you always greetings from Tennessee United States
I’m Mexican American , and from what I know ,you can fill your flauta with whatever you like , I prefer shredded beef 🤗
From Houston Texas you sound so beautiful when you speak. I love it because everyone who comments any negative things can for sure understand everything you say. And I would love to live in Mexico for sure. My husband is from Guanajuato and our plan is to build a small home there. I am retired and waiting on him to do the same. Even though I cook Mexican food everyday your food looks super delicious. And yes all salsas are as thick or watery as you please. It’s the seasoning you give it that matters. ❤❤❤
Excelente video ricos tacos de cazuela se ven delicioso se me antojaron. Saludos desde veracruz México 🇲🇽
I love when you cook-I have learned a lot from you and have tried some of your recipes-my husband loves the salsas ❤
Late to the party, but never miss a vid. Flautas can be made of just about whatever you want to put in them.
I live in San Diego so my city is Tijuana. In Tijuana we use shredded beef for our flautas.
A lot of people call the rolled tacos. They’re made with shredded beef, ground beef or chicken. It just depends on where your region is.
Now I’m hungry. Thanks for sharing as always catch you on the next one.
Don't worry what ppl say flautas I hv had them with cheese too thsts delish ur right it's whatever u want just like a taco lol I love ur family
everybody i know makes salsa different and to their own liking :) .. I also make my flautas with potato and cheese. Flautas are sooo good anyway you make them!! i love a thin salsa too!! LOve the videos... keep them coming.. The channel is great and i love watching your family on the ranch!! You guys are making me really want to move to Mexico!!!

The taco's looked so good! Now I'm craving Mexican food and margaritas. I made plans for dinner and drinks with some friends 🍹🎉 love and hugs from Texas 💕
