It’ll be either caused by this video or by leaks from the rear. Take a look at that video too.

Hi the compression of my c1 doors aren't very good, i can push them open at the top with my finger, when i wash the car water comes in on the tops of both doors. Is there a way to adjust this? Either to align them or alter the compression?
Is this something that you could cover in a video, extending the leaks video? Thanks James

It sounds like the top of your door has bent out a little. Try rolling the window down, putting something soft between the door and the body and then gently pushing the top of the door towards the body. Be very gentle though, don’t bend the door too much. You might also want to add a secondary seal too, like in this video.

I’m not entirely sure right now, I haven’t done anything to the rear wiper, thought it is on my list. I would highly recommend searching for ‘City Bug Club’ on Facebook. It’s an absolute treasure trove of information by knowledgeable members about these cars.
I will be doing a full service, including wiper blade change on my C1 in a few weeks though. Keep an eye out for that one.

How to remove matt legs from driver side?

    • @DABDIY
      @DABDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Could you clarify what you mean by matt legs?

@@DABDIY I dont know how to call this in English but this run, under there is metal floor, maybe its soundproof mat.

Ah, I understand what you mean. You’re talking about removing the entire carpet from the car. Both front seats will need to be removed and the carpet pulls up from the floor. All the center console will need to be removed too.

@@DABDIY Yes, but only the part from front where driver seats. There carpe is a little bit wet, but I dont kne where is from this waters run i was on car wash and door seems to be no problem, they are seal it.

Once you’ve taken the seat out, you should be able to pull the driver’s corner away from the floor pan.

My leak seems to be only effecting the left side, creating flooding in the rear left footwell. Green mould on the left rear passenger seat. The ceiling is damp in the top left corner and evidence of dripping on the inner walls. What is likely to be the issue here?
I'm a complete novice, but I woukd rather try to tackle it myself than she'll out hundred in a mechanic

Starting from the top of the car and working down, it’s likely to be your high level stop light, your rear light clusters, your rear bulkhead vents that are all leaking (very very common issue, plenty of help in the Facebook City Bug Club) and the footwell is likely to be caused by what you see in this video. The big puddle I had in my C1 was caused by a failed door membrane. I added a secondary seal and sealed the aerial as a precautionary measure. It seems to have worked very well.

This is one product I've not seen used on the bumper vents before. I'm guessing you've got a different idea, however: th-cam.com/video/fJLnCK3TzvA/w-d-xo.html

This video does not address the rear bulkhead leaks. This will be addressed in a future video.

@@DABDIY I am aware that this is the case! Looking forward to that future video.

All going well, it shouldn’t be too much longer before is uploaded. I’m currently in the middle of some essential work on the Volvo.
