I just love the idea of Plague Knight. While the other knights use raw physical strength (or a Gundam) to destroy you, Plague Knight's a crazed alchemist. His level is fun, his design and personality are amazing and this boss fight, in both music and gameplay, was fast-paced, frantic, and just brilliant in general. Plus, it's so funny to see new players turn around and try to slash him at the start of the boss fight.

I know this game and this video came out years ago, I still revisit it from time to time! shovel knight and all the DLCs are some of my favorite games (especially plague knight!!) with great character design and music. I wish people were still into this game like I am though because it feels like I'm the only one still out here obsessing over it......

He is one of three bosses that I have chosen as potential threats for my new game plus battle royale at second to last level because of his randomness. The others were Polar Knight (SPIKES) and Propeller Knight (because this guy takes two lifepoints per stab)
Stand still for the entire shadow plague fight and it says “you are steadfast in your resolve, maybe there is hope for us.” And then it skips to the final boss without shadow being hurt, trust me
An explosive encounter with an ether-addled alchemical adversary. (Shovel of Hope) This song explode with excitement! (Plague of Shadows) Bard: I was feeling uninspired until Plague Knight threw some kind of potion in my face. When I woke up, the song was somehow finished.
***** You can thank crazy chaotic chromatic scale use for that. Both of them ride up and down the piano in half steps- In other words hitting every note along the way- though they do it a bit differently. Flight of the Bumblebee is a classical example. :P
The theme literally portrays the complete urgency of jumping all over the place just not to get blown up with chemical combustions by an archaic alchemist.

While other Knights have something you could call a pattern to let you know what they're going to do next, Plague Knight is unpredictable. He gave me the most trouble in hard mode boss rush, but I enjoyed every battle with him. Even after 2 hours of trying, when I was outright bored of fighting same bosses, I was still looking forward to Plague Knight
Yeah, it seems that when fighting him with shovel knight that his beak is longer, and starts going out lower (The plague of shadows also looks like this I believe) maybe it was tweaked to look better with platforming...
There's a secret room that you can access as Plague Knight in the Explodatorium. It's Plague Knight's bedroom, and he has a bunch of masks in a dresser. One of them is the one he uses while fighting Shovel Knight (he probably did this to make him look more frightening).
(Spoilers for plague of shadows) The silhouette of the Plague of a shadows boss fight has a mask that’s as long as the original mask plague knight wore in shovel of hope, which did make him more menacing than you as plague knight

First of all, the Enchantress was the first phase. Second of all, there's no boss called Shadow Plague Knight. Here's the phases: Phase 1: The Enchantress Phase 2: Plague of Shadows Phase 3: Corrupted Essence
I love Plague of Shadows, it's better than the base game I think. Plague Knight's mechanics are much more complex than Shovel Knight's, not to mention it has a better story with more character interaction. Not to say Shovel Knight is bad, but it's hard to go back after playing Plague of Shadows

Unpopular opinion #761: Personally, I've played and Speedran(run?) this game so much that this point all of his attacks are easy to dodge and I know when to attack. Not to difficult really, have more trouble with Polar Knight than Plague tbh.
