Just want you guys to know how many people you've helped change their lives for the better. Countless really, learning how to have fun, not take anything too seriously, just enjoying the ups and downs. I can at any point (60 years old) jump on either of my mini bikes and ride around my own 10 or cruise the farmroads here in Mo. Both were inspired by you guys, I built them and they are nice, a BT200X and a Mega Moto with a built Tillotsons and CVTs. All you're subs know what fun these little bikes are. That being said, I'm really happy to see you guys going back to the start of it all, with minibikes. You guys make me nervous even though I know its a recording fooling around on the Freeways in the Midget, with it swerving all over next to 80,000 lb rigs. I rode dirt bikes back in the day and it also scares me you guys messing with that CR500. I love you guys, you've changed my life for the better, and you can fool around with mini bikes and other relatively safer projects and you won't lose any clicks, I promise you knowone wants any of you guys getting hurt, but the law of averages says it's only a matter of time. Ike got hurt, can't remember what, but you let that CR get away (and it WILL) and hit a tree....
I like to spray hairspray inside the grip and on the handlebar and slide it on before it dries It goes on really easy and when it dries hair spray keeps it in place
I ride mountain bikes.....I always spray a little spray paint down into the inside of any handgrip I want to install. Goes on slick as butter and stays until you want to remove it with a little lacquer thinner.
3am and this Old Man from Washington NC just finished watching with my coffee ☕. Great wake up 👍. Issac I've got some new bed liners, floor mats and trunk liners. Do you want them? Love You Guys 🛵🧔💝💝💝
Ya he shoulda got a mic and had it cliped to to his shirt he was trying to talk to us but we couldnt here a darn thing and in was saying to john if he sees my message his rideing is to lose he is way to relaxed ha wait till the 500 is running right it will rip him right off the bike id love to see that clutch fixed then do some clutch dumps he will do back flips
I like the new technical track! Definitely more my style riding. The minibike content is what hooked me to this channel. I remember the MB200-1 when you had just built it. With the alternator and lights it was so cool. Keep it up y'all but stay safe! Proper padding is essential
Just a quick tip, use hairspray, to put your grips on. It lubes them, and glues them, at the same time. I have used this method for all my bikes, and kills 2 birds with 1 stone. As the saying goes. Make sure your bars are clean with thinners or isopropel alcohol. You will love the results. Cool video and channel, take it easy out there. ❤️
Y'all have one of the best shows on the 'tube. I have a couple suggestions: 1. When cutting rubber, wet it with soapy water first. It will cut much easier. That's the reason you don't want to spin your tires in a creek. 2. Shell Rotella diesel oil is higher in zinc than any oil additive I'm aware of. It doesn't fowl a motorcycle wet clutch, but it will contaminate a catalytic converter. Bonus suggestion: only cover the body parts you want to keep! We're enjoying your adventures; please wear protection!
I like your new race course. You have blazed a trail like many mini-bikers do. Falling down is part of the experience. But get some real riding gear. In my day it was heavy boots, blue jeans, t-shirts, gloves, and a helmet. But as you get older, armor is required. I'm 70, and reluctantly have wondered why I wasn't wearing armor sooner. Great race; reminded me of the days of my youth.
A suggestion for you guys when doing stuff with multiple people on the track, go to your local Academy or some other sport outlet and get you a few sets of the one ear headsets with the touch mic, and some of those walky-talky's with the 30 mile range. A friend and I bought some to add to our airsoft gear and its the same headsets the secret serves use. John seemed a little upset that he wiped out for the second time and the rest didn't stop, but to be fair he had wiped out earlier and they did stop, only for him to just hope on the bike again and use it to gain the lead. Have the headsets would let him tell the others instantly if he was ok or needed aid.
I added sheet metal splash plates in front of the rear fender (under the seat) and one on the front of the frame behind the front tire on my old Baja Warrior to help eliminate dirt getting on the engine and belt. I had it at mini mayhem a few years back in the spring when it was soooo muddy and wet!
John's SECOND crash is why I don't like the reclined position when riding because you can get in those bouncing situations and you can't save it unless you stand up..... Glad he's OK and nobody got hurt but you guys definitely pushed each other riding which is awesome to see, good luck on the race. 😁👍
When I put grips on I spray the bars and inside the grips with hair spray. The grips slide right on while it's wet and then it dries and acts as a glue. Can't wait to see the race!
For the air filter if you're in a big hurry I suggest using a hair dryer on a low setting. Just put the nozzle of the hair dryer into the filter orifice. It'll be dry in less than 5 minutes.
Jigsaw would've been perfect for cutting that mat. Also, your never supposed to pull a razor blade towards your body. Always move it AWAY from you. Had a buddy cutting something with a fresh blade, it slipped it out and went into his shin down to the bone, LIKE NOTHING. So much blood from a cut that was less than a inch long but probably a good inch deep.
At least John and Charles had the sense to wear gloves and full face helmets. I just imagined Ike catching branches in his face and hands...ouchie... I hope John recovers, and you guys stay safe...or as safe as you guys CAN be. LoL Making big power is easy, but keeping the knobbies down and the handlebars up can be tricky! I'm waiting to see you boys win one of these big races!
I thought Ike is an adult, I also wonder how it is your concern what he wears or how it effects you at all if he loses an eye. I don't recall anyone trying to make "big power" here either.
On your velocity stack inside of your air filter there you can either use Vaseline or bearing grease but you put that on the outer edge of the Velocity stack and I will catch the Fine Dirt before it gets into the motor and doesn't hurt the airflow at all this is just something I do on my 1/5 scale RC truck thanks have a great day
Pro tip on those bearings you replaced what you should do is put a pipe sleeve in between them so you can tight the bolt down tight that is basically no different than setting up a wheel spindle. safety fast!
Have you considered, you know how racing games at the end of a race you can watch it in cinematic View. Where the camera is mounted stationary and they pan around in shot to track you. Have you considered mounting 2 or 3 gopros around the track especially when you're racing each other. I think it could add some really cool shots.
On the grips, what we do in real enduro racing is spray a little clear lacquer into them. Lubricates them nice for the install, dries up completely in about 15 minutes and provides water proofing and a little adhesive too.
Man, I'd love to see some little "road" bikes. So like bikes with frames that are as stiff as doodle beetles. I added metal fenders in front of the rear fenders and did it as believably as possible and achieved 50 mph. I'm waiting to see you guys win one of these big races!
just found your channel a couple weeks ago and gone through all your old stuff. The channels pretty awesome. minibikes have come along way since I was a young kid I’m still a kid that plays. I’m just an old kid now.
Probably missed a trick I would brace the jackshaft direct to the frame with extra plate as that was the direction of flex in your vid . Get well soon John 👍
Regarding the bearing and the nut.... Would it be an idea to fashion a sleave to go inside of that tube? Like a lenght of pipe that with correct dimensions would hold the bearings in place and brace them from the inside?
A grip trick I used as a kid was spray paint (non throttle side) while it’s wet it’s slick, but it’s just long enough to get it on there then it gets really tacky and will act as adhesive within a few minutes.
A foam filter with an outerwear like a UNI brand filter work far better than those K&N pleated paper style filters. Try a UNI filter and I bet you'll be surprised!
You know what sucks. This is their JOB Im about to head to the coal mine for yet another 3 hr day ( well night as its night shift) Good on em though for putting out content for so many years!
them carbon fiber heat tiles were popping off the space shuttle too fellas. if they made it back at all they were missing parts. the final frontier. not for everybody, like survival. for the strong and the fit, sneaky and wily. like a coyote Y-LEE. be good or be good at it.
Hey Guys, for me, you don’t have to teach us anything. I just enjoy watching you all put it together and then riding along on your adventures. 👍thanks for the fun. And the tips!! 😃
Glass cleaner to put grips on is good because it helps the grips stick good. Whenever I installed grips on Golf Clubs I always put a layer of masking tape over the bars before installing grips.
Like the megamoto frames so much more!. Here's a old school tip for grips that works great for me and I'm 65 and have tried lots ! Put finger over hole and fill with gasoline, let sit for 20 seconds or so then shake it out and slide on real fast. Let it sit a day at least and it will take a lot to make it slip.
Ok Young Gent's I know of the fastest production mini bike the world has ever seen, The SHAW/HAKES, I should find the cycle world article on them, they were banned in the first year from tracks as NO ONE else Not Honda or Yamaha could compete engine or suspension wise. There were about 5 different models from 50cc to 125 Sachs engines, I had a super rat Hodaka powered one that would dump you OFF when it hit the power band if you were not on it and ready. I'll see if my family has a mini for you guys to check out, they ALL had leading link front ends.

Longer episodes are cool if you so worried about movement why not recradle the engine using round tubing where the square currently is then utilize mounts that crush the round tubing like WKA KARTING ENGINE MOUNTS just curious
Are you guys liking the longer episodes?
Indeed sir 👌🏻
great content as always guys , its an ongoing mission keeping all the toys running ! have really been enjoying the longer episodes
Yes
I like about 30 minutes myself, but I know how to work the skip button.
Nope, shorter and more frequent.
"I'm just gonna hang out for a while" 😂 know the feeling

28:00 john almost ran that off and landed on his feet. Good ditch!
brake clean and tie wire for the grips boys

"Whatever happened to no man left behind?" Funniest line ever on these video's !!!
Quick tip hairspray on the handle bars will act a a quick lubricant then will dry quick and make the handle grips stick better because of the alcohol
Poor John took a beating this episode.
Missing baffles part got me more than it should have lol =) Drag a magnet bar around for a few weeks ... might find 'em =)))

Guys, for grips hairspray is the best. Second best is zip ties for rubber grips.
John is a mad man menace on that bike!!!
hairspray works best on grip, when it drys it holds them tight
I found out why you need to upgrade the fly wheel yesterday 😂🤦🏼♂️dem high rpm’s always win
@user-ru7he6qj2w it’s already ordered along with a new coil and cover. It blew apart everything that was in its path
That is a very quick and comprehensive example of why oiling a "hi-flow" filter is sooo important.

The only Mini bike and go kart channel on TH-cam That wear roller Derby outfits to ride mini bikes.
That was an epic episode glad you guys all made it out okay and had lots of fun thank you for the video you guys all rock

Soak chain in oil and treat belt before letting sit for winter? Then store in sealed container. Maybe WD-40 the cables.
I really loved the film editing work as you guys were racing through the more technical track. Top notch!
Yes , truly appreciate the longer videos
Pro tip on those bearings you replaced what you should do is put a pipe sleeve in between them so you can tight the bolt down tight that is basically no different than setting up a wheel spindle.

JB Weld a magnet to the engine's drain plug. Then it will collect any debris (that you don't want to see).
That looked like a blast and a Chuck sighting at the end.😮

My favourite time of the week 🎉
Once again, You were my 1sr TH-cam subscription! You are still my favorite! Charles is awesome!!!
I think yaw need to get some bark busters for sure. They will save you from broken hands and fingers. I use to race gncc trail trials

All the best from the UK
Smart idea. Running the track both ways to get an average instead of three runs one way.

Why don't you just put a spacer in the jackshaft tube to hold the bearings apart?
