      1. Optics Compensation (on adjustment layer)
      2. CC Scatterize (when stacked with other effects)
      3. CC RepeTile (great backgrounds & transitions)
      4. Transform (using skew with adjustment layer for transitions)
      5. CC Sphere (classic... But nice for quick globe animations)

      I find snowfall great for a quick way to add dust particles or, when the layer is rotated, floating bubbles to help sell an environment and make it feel live.

    You can animate Hue cycle in Hue/Saturation effect. The keyframe checkbox is above Master Hue next to Channel Range :)

    I like to use CC Power Pin instead of Corner Pin because it shows perspective lines and allows to unstretch the screen

    3:01 you actually can, its just a bit misleading, you have to click on the stopwatch for channel range, with that the master hue is keyframeable

    • @motionbynick
      @motionbynick  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! this was a mistake on my part - however you can't easily add expressions to the hue/saturation. This is the advantage of Color Balance.

    I don't get cc composite, do you mean you can animate something that repeats for example in the animation in just one layer? like stars that shine or idk stuff

    • @motionbynick
      @motionbynick  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      An easy example would be - you can blur text and then add un-blurred text right back on top of itself to give it a halo effect. Without CC Composite you would need to have multiple layers to do this. With CC Composite you can just stack effects and also save this as a preset.

    Niiick,
    Just so you know you can animate the hue effect that you said is not keyframable. If you hit the stop watch by the effect name you can keyframe a rotation in the hue slider.
    It is awkward because you dont have individual keyframes for all the parts pf the hue effect, its all baked into the single keyframe stopwatch. But it does work.
    Im redjones.design on IG and that is exactly how I achieved the hue shift on one my dailys last week.

    • @motionbynick
      @motionbynick  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mispoke and explained this poorly. You CAN keyframe it - however it's very complicated to add expressions to. Thanks for pointing this out!

    • @jerredjones9900
      @jerredjones9900 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motionbynick i agree, one of the worst designed effects for animating.
      It would be nice if Ae would go in and update some of them, I love colorama but I hate its color picker interface. Come on adobe, do we need Andrew Kramer on this?
