    8 years later and your instructions are still spot on! Thanks! The upper limit immediate button push was the magic of your video.

    Nine years later I can affirm like everyone else. This video tutorial is correct and spot on! ☝️
    There’s probably dozens of videos where the information is poorly shown or explained! 😡
    Appreciate you taking the time to document and share this valuable information first hand.
    Saved me $150.XX for a so called garage door professional to do the same! 👍
    NOTE: The same information is clearly written on the GDO panel door. But seeing it done live makes everything crystal clear as to what to do / not to do.

    Good job explaining this operation. I played with it yesterday before i saw your video and couldn't get it to stay in the closed set position. We had a bad lightning storm yesterday and it screwed lots of things up. Back in business now. You the man. Thank you!

    Thanks for the video. Very helpful. One thing I’d add is that if the light is blinking and the up and down buttons are not working you can unplug the unit and start over.

    One step that is missing from the manual is the "upper limit lock in" established with the quick black key press after the opener push. Thanks for the help!

    If your having problems getting past setting the “up” position make sure your light is plugged in. It won’t let you set the “down” limit without the light. I was having this problem and I couldn’t figure it out for a while.

    Great video. Got me running again. Thank you!
    If you settings stop working within a few days, open the cover and tighten the 2 hex set screws on the gear on the main shaft that drive the RPM / distance sensor. There are 2 set screws, so mark them differently and make sure you tighten both. You can use the up/down buttons described in this video to rotate the shaft. After they are tight, repeat the limit programing here.

    So when I do the second step (the clicking of the remote button to make the door go down and then immediately push the black or yellow):
    The door continues up until it maxes out. It does NOT come back down, even slightly. Can someone help? Please.

  • @roberthigbee3260
    @roberthigbee3260 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks for the video. I was eventually able to use your video to program my door, but I had to watch it 4 or 5 times to hear your words. You slurred the word button each time and talked too quickly when you said it and since there are 3 buttons to mess with I had to pay close attention. Also, at a very critical moment in the instructions, you confusingly said a confusing thing about how you could continue to fine tune it by pressing the up or down button and you made this comment right in the middle of your key instructions - this was very confusing. You need to stick to the script and only add extra comments afterwards. You also accidentally said an instruction step out loud at one point and I guess you didn’t know you did this because you repeated yourself, which was also confusing. I realize you are not a professional, and I did get my door set up eventually after a lot of replays of your video, but you should redo this video and talk more distinctly and please refer to the liftmaster up buttons more precisely by, for example, calling the up program button the “black up button”, the down program button as the “down yellow button” and the remote button as the “Roman numeral 1 remote button” since their remote has three buttons and I guess most people just use the first remote button. Also, my issue was the door started not staying down and it would come right back up. Your video started with the door closed, mine was open. I only got my door programmed correctly after I did exactly what you did, so I put a piece of tape at the up-spot, like you did, because that was already ok, then I manually shut my door (pull the release handle (Hard) once to go to manual Mode, manually close door and then pull the release handle again to go make to auto mode), then I did exactly what you did and it finally worked. Sorry for the long comment, generally your video was ok. I am just offering some kind suggestions. Thanks again.

    Why some many T's in your words? I am from other country and I find nowhere in my materials that tell me to put emphasis on the T in button, like saying "butt-ton". You only do that when word has more than one T. Mandarin was easier to learn
