Thank you, I had been trying to program my garage door opener using the manual, and after an hour of frustrations I went to youtube a watched your video! Got it programmed in a couple of minutes!
I found this video searching for where to find the "learn" button on my LiftMaster 8500. The manual doesn't seem to have this information and neither does this video. I finally figured out that I had to use the "learn" button located on my wired wall controller. It's located underneath the big open/close button. My keypad instructions state to push and let go of the learn button and the light will come on. That's not how my learn button works. I had to push and hold it for a second or two.
Please delete this video and try another tutorial. This is about the worst how to segment I've ever seen. If you want to leave this video on TH-cam, please do everyone a favor and change the title to: "Tips on How to NOT demonstrate a useful tutorial online"
Thanks for the try, but if you really want to help, try re-recording the programming process without all the "oh wait, use the remote, no ah, er don't use the remote. Now were going to run the door down.............oh ah, let me do some playing with this." etc, etc. A "clean" version could be very helpful. Instead of being over 6 minutes long, you could do the process in about 2 1/2 minutes.
Do you need the remote or can you use the open button mounted below it. We just install a new dock plate with a piece of 1/2" steel plate on top of the floor now the door opens back up. And the place I work lost the remote.

Ulrico Izaguirre there isn’t one. This isn’t a WiFi opener. You need the internet gateway to control it with your phone. The MyQ serial number will be on the internet gateway if you buy one.
Wow , and you are trying to give instructions? I think you need more instructions than we do. Try a diff line of work like maybe instructions on how to use a broom or a shovel. Much simpler.
