After all the build up to the act of killing Sentinel would be what creates Megatron, it was actually his betrayal of Orion. Killing Sentinel just sealed the deal.
No he would still want to rule . Because hw can't trust anyone. You see how he acted in high gaurds meeting sence . He beat the hell out pf starscream and over thrown by power and became there leader. he could have stay with Cybertronians and told they a truth and together fight to overthrow sentinel but he only though to kill him all by own and not to think other would also feel the same . He just doing by his selfish reason. Not like a leader like optimus but like a selfish dictator like sentinel prime
Its interesting because as the movie goes, his eyes get more reddish tinged till the final change as he looks down then back up as he lets optimus go.

What D-16/Megatron did to Sentinel Prime is brutal by tearing up his body into pieces but to be honest he definately got what he deserved anyway since Sentinel Prime is the main antagonist of this movie.
And for what his bayverse counterpart did to ironhide

I love how D-16 switches his cog. Its like he rejects the goodness of Alpha Trion and accepts the darkness of Megatronus Prime, to solidify his final form as Megatron.
Megatronus Prime wasn't a bad guy in this iteration, rather he followed in Sentinel's example and stole power that wasn't his so he could rule the world.
Honestly Alpha Trion gave D-16 the cog to transform his density but he became so fuel by anger, rage, confusion, fear he became Megatron. He took Megatronus cog to become the strongest just as Megatronus once was before Sentinel killed him since Sentinel fail to obtain the matrix from Prima. Megatronus cog was red with Sentienl but D-16 turned it purple as the color of dark energon.

In Transformers One Starscream was once the leader the High Guard before D16 tookover the leadership, becomes Megatron and called themselve Decepticons.

0:15 I love that look from Alpha Trion in this scene when D-16 says, "I wanna kill him (Sentinel)." Because Alpha Trion not only saw a chance for the four to bring justice to Cybertron and stop Sentinel, but also avenge his fellow Primes. And D-16 would be that instrument of vengeance.
I love the build up for him, cause at least to me, his rage and pain is justifiable. But, he won't let go of it like Orion did

@@Murdockchern not in this case since the UK, for example, doesn't get it until Oct 11 which is way later than they usually get movies (if I'm not mistaken) - same with other countries that usually get them first before the US and other Western countries.

Seeing his innocence and optimism be slowly mutilated the entire movie was so depressing.
I don't blame D-16 for his choice, but in the end I finally understand why he did it. He wanted freedom true freedom, but it cost him literally everything, share Orion wasn't the best of friends but he still showed Mercy to him, the moment D-16's eyes changed colors the bot he died and Megatron replaced what was left.

Just saw it and it was a really good movie highly recommend seeing it.
Sentinel was too busy ruling the world for himself, he didn't realize he created a Monster that can overthrow him by just one gun shot.

Then: D-16 in the IDW Continuity being a 'Technically' Laid Off Mining Bot who broke the law fighting back against the Cybertronian peacekeepers and became a fugitive and eventually an underground Gladiator fighter who took up the name of 'The Fallen' Megatronus Prime. The attendees at the Arena would shorten this to 'Megatron' and it just stuck.

I find it poetic how orion acted like what megatron would stand for wanting freedom and rebel against the system while D-16 wanted to follow rules and protocol only for both of them to switch philosophy at the movies climax

I would’ve liked if Megatronus Prime was a little “Oil” thirsty for combat which could explain the corruption that got to sentinel prime and D-16 to Megatron.
Something im curious about is what if megatron didnt shoot orion? What if he let Sentinel live what, then? Would optimus just banish sentinel the same way he did megatron? Would he arrest sentinel and have him stand trial, where he probably would have been sentenced to execution anyway for betraying his entire species. Would optimus still plead for sentinel's life at that point?
Well, ultimately Orion was trying to stop D-16 from becoming a murderer. Because when you’re that fueled by hate, you become something truly sinister
He would have been arrested. If the sentence was execution, I imagine that Optimus would plead for this life. Remember you can't make anything right with bloodshed.
@@davidawilliams252 I dunno. Sometimes bloodshed is necessary. It's horrific, but you don't want to risk the lives of others by letting one live. Like with Batman and Joker. If Batman would just kill the joker, think of how many lives would be saved.

Something that confuses me most is he’s the only one of the 4 characters that wants to get revenge by murdering sentinel. And why? Because his favorite prime was killed? I mean it’s not like he knew the guy
No the reason why megaton wants to kill sentinel was because out of the four of them he believed in sentinel and his propaganda the most, to him sentinel was his hero. That’s why throughout the movie he doesn’t want to break protocol, and he’s mostly a rule follower, once he learns his entire life was a lie and he’s was basically a slave it breaks him the most while with they other characters like Orion pax who are already suspicious and tired of mining their entire lives don’t take his betrayal as bad. I wrote a lot hopefully that makes sense.
Because Sentinel did the following things:
Sentinel killed all of the Primes (As well as D-16's idol)
Sentinel is the reason the Matrix of Leadership disappeared
Sentinel has usurped power over Cyberton under the false pretext that he's a lone surviving hero searching for the Matrix
Sentinel stole the cogs of all the newborn transformers, which included D-16 and Pax
Sentinel is the reason why D-16 and Pax, as well as countless other mining bots, had to go down in the mines and risk life and limb mining for energon
And said energon that they tirelessly toil and mine, is being used just to pay off the Quintessons so that Sentinel can remain in power, which means everything that D-16 did his entire life, all amounted to nothing, and his entire life was literally a lie.
D-16's anger and hatred for Sentinel, and his desire to take murderous revenge, is entirely and completely justified, because Sentinel is the source of all the misery and strife that D-16 has had to endure his entire life.
Because Sentinel being a traitor that forced him and the others to slave away their whole lives
All for a lie

This movie has it's own story which was all inspired by G1, TF Prime, comics, and even the Cybertron video games, this doesn't connect to the Bayverse movies.
Bayverse fans trying real hard to get their only two neurons to fire off and comprehend separate continuities.
This just proves that every incarnation of Sentinel Prime, he's the worst and despicable transformer to ever live.

I haven't watched anything to do with the movie or franchise what so ever so this stuff shouldn't be on my feed.
Plus this type of action is insensitive to others who haven't seen the movie.
