Do you guys realize there are other projects outside of the DCU, right? DC Studios will continue to develop shows and films that aren’t part of the DCU. Not everything DC Studios does has to be tied to the DCU slate. It’s just a studio for DC projects, which can include things like Teen Titans Go, The Batman, or The Sandman, which is a DC property but run by Netflix. Saying James Gunn is taking credit for everything is a bit ridiculous. 🙄 It’s like saying Kevin Feige took all the credit for Endgame-he oversaw the MCU but didn’t direct it. DC is off to a strong start, thanks to Matt Reeves and whoever is behind the Christopher Reeve documentary. That's definitely what us DC fans wanna hear. We'll see what happens with the DCU lead by James Gunn. I'm still looking for to Superman, Lanterns and even Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

Matt Reeves is the ONLY reason ppl are sticking around to see what comes out. WB would be garbage if Matt Reeves and his work wasn't there. I'm so tired of ppl thinking that Gunn's idea of this reboot is a good one. I don't see this goofy, lame duck Superman movie going anywhere far. They might go check it out. But that will be about it.
While I think the actor is good, he's a little older than I imagined Hal should be in the DCU. This means he'll be written out after one or two projects. :( Gunn had nothing to do with either project at all.

I don't know how they can interpret what he said, in a way that would mean Gunn is taking credit for everything, every production detail of those projects. I just don't know how they justify thinking that's what he meant if you "read between the lines".

@@Fiveash-Art While I understand where you're coming from, implying a director can only direct a certain way and saying they will be bound to that style for their entire film making career, is a very inaccurate assessment. They can have variations even in the same genre of film. I say let's give the film a fair chance, instead of forming skewed ideas before the post-production is finalized.

Do you guys realize there are other projects outside of the DCU, right? DC Studios will continue to develop shows and films that aren’t part of the DCU. Not everything DC Studios does has to be tied to the DCU slate. It’s just a studio for DC projects, which can include things like Teen Titans Go, The Batman, or The Sandman, which is a DC property but run by Netflix.
Saying James Gunn is taking credit for everything is a bit ridiculous. 🙄 It’s like saying Kevin Feige took all the credit for Endgame-he oversaw the MCU but didn’t direct it. Gunn is just acknowledging successful projects under DC Studios, like the Christopher Reeve documentary or The Penguin. Not everything DC Studios does has to be part of the DCU.😂

And to answer your question about who is the new DCU for? It's for us, the DC fans who love these characters, different versions of these characters and the stories. We're not tangled up in one certain director or actor, and cry about how everything besides Snyder is a failure and underwhelming.

That's also the reason why I don't got nuts when different directors and actors come and go. They each have their own era and I appreaciate them all in their own way.
