I just figured out what that wall needs behind you...that wooden plaque that is in the "Caned Ham" that says "Cog Hill Farm". The podcast room needs that plaque for the originality of the podcast.
Brooke when you mentioned that little pill before dentist I remember my daughter giving me one before taking me to oral surgeon. A dentist who years ago did a root canal and had put the post in crooked and it had gotten infected and it had to be removed by an oral surgeon. Well before going to surgeon she gave me a small white pill. I to this day don’t remember her getting into the car or anything until after surgery was over. She told me on the ride there I kept talking to my son, her brother who passed away suddenly at 47 years old. I was really out of it. 😂 😂
We are all getting ready putting shutters all around the house here in Bradenton Florida. My daughter and her husband and and my one granddaughter are all first responders and will be at their facilities and my young grandson and my one granddaughter and her friend will be staying here with me and our 2 bulldogs at the house here in West Bradenton. Not looking forward to this storm. Is expected to be a strong one with winds and lots and lots of rain! They were originally expecting it to hit Tampa hard with 28” of rain. Now they predict it hitting Venice at this point which I think is about an hour South of us instead of Tampa which is an hour North of us. Praying you don’t get hit with anything up where you are or at least not a big amount of winds and rain. Stay safe n prayers for all your animals too! I had the best of both worlds as a teen. My one friends family was direct from Greece and her mom would make Baklava and another was from Yugoslavia. Oh the treats I had🙌🏻💗

We have an old cast iron tub in the bathroom that weighs around 600 lbs. Our house is over 100 years old. Would have to remove the walls to remove it so it will stay there forever....lol

Jason, you are right: it’s filo dough. My aunt makes baklava from scratch and it is time consuming but it also takes some skill because you want the dough soooooo very thin and multiple layers.
As a former dental assistant some peoples nerves aren’t in the exact same place as everyone. Sounds like the dentist didn’t numb the right nerve branch. Laughing gas is still used. Also people who are red headed or have the gene are more resistant to anesthetic. A good dentist is an amazing thing!
Real Baklava is made with a honey syrup which is poured over it after it is baked. It is left to sit awhile so it absorbs the syrup. Baklava is not hard to make, just a little time consuming.
You two are a scream! When I was 5, my mother told me to stop by the dentist. He tied me to the chair! I never got over it…I still get crazy before I have another appointment.
Grandma's sink only had the drain board on one side. It also had a backsplash about 6" tall, along the back, up against the wall. Mary Carl is a "bird sponge"!

If Ian has to hit the coast, I just hope it goes far enough west that some of the moisture gets as far as Oklahoma where they're still fighting a dreadful drought.

It's Filo dough. I made baklava 2 years ago but I bought the filet dough. You have to keep it moist while you're making this and you have to butter each layer than layer the nuts and then put the next sheet and you do that I think 11 times if I can remember correctly. And then you drizzle the honey mixture over it it was very time consuming but it was delicious. Filo dough stays crispy whereas puff pastry does exactly what it sounds like it puffs up filo dough does not
I agree. The dentists back in the day weren’t as good-at least in my experience. The dentists I go to now know exactly where to put the numbing agent so that they only need 1 shot and I can’t feel anything! Now I go religiously every 6 months for cleanings and checkups

I have a strange affliction that effects me when I am in a dentist chair, I can sleep when they work on my teeth! I also have a very high pain tolerance! I have broken my leg and was mad I broke it! It did not really have any real pain and in the emergency room the nurse kept asking if I was in pain, I said no and she called a neurologist to come look at me caused they thought I had brain damage! He check me out with the nurse there and he said he found nothing wrong with my head (My sister who was with me said out load “ Yea right”) The doctor busted out laughing and the nurse looked like we were all crazy!
Did you know that Lester had to go to the emergency room the other night? His mama longhorn pushed on the gate and his shoulder got wrenched. He' s gotta have surgery.💝💝💝💝💝💝💝

As far as shots and my kids went, I would bring up the last real painful incident they had suffered and tell them how the shot wasn't going to hurt that bad. Just before they got a shot. It worked and my youngest at 3 always wanted to be first at the dentist. They are adults now. So in that , I did well.
Jason, you might want to consider letting them drill those minimal cavities without anything to numb your mouth. I have had that done without any shots a couple of times, and I preferred the temporary pain of the drill to having my mouth and face numb for hours.
Don't forget OVEREXPOSURE is not a good thing. Don't forget your COG SQUAD sign behind you for the wall. WHAT CHICKEN SHOW???? A great dentist is very hard to find! I cannot tell you how many I've been to, before finally finding a lady dentist who knows her stuff and treats me like FAMILY!
