I’ll explain MoldOva (not Moldov-i-a) to you briefly: there’s a more populous Moldova region in Romania Which for some reason unknown to me you didn’t visit. In the distant past, hundreds of years ago, they were one country that was established by a prince coming from Maramureș actually, where Breb is located. The entire region of Balkans as you should know was occupied by the Ottomans in the Middle Ages for about 400 years. The Ottomans had some problems and some dealings and wars with Russia, so they wanted to appease the Russians, so they cut almost half of Moldova like it was a pizza and gave it to them, as a “present” the same way the Russians did with Crimea when they gave it to Ukraine. In 200 years, Russia brainwashed the Moldovans into believing that they are not Romanians like the rest of their nation - they changed their writing into the Cyrillic alphabet and forcefully taught them in school that they are “Slavs” . They also dislocated many people to other parts of the Russian Empire, including Siberia and Kazakhstan and brought in Russians instead and some Ukrainians and Germans as colonists to replace the dislodged Moldovans and to “diversify” the country and make it less Romanian. Well, as you can see now, the currency is the same, the food is the same, the flag is the same, the language is the same, the folklore is the same, the names of the people are the same and the language it’s the same. The “bună ziua” - it’s exactly the same I explained that to you in a comment when you visited the Peleș Castle but because it seemed difficult for you to pronounce a bunch of us recommended you just “bună” for short to make it simpler. “Bună” is valid in Moldova too but in both “countries” the most valid, most polite and universal greeting for all ages and genders is “Bună ziua” - which means “Good day”. Don’t pay attention to the trolls that might create disputes here, they are paid by a ministry for propaganda to create conflict and disputes online - that’s their job but nobody really cares about them.

The phrase "La Taifas" in the Romanian context, "taifas" refers to a friendly or informal discussion, often accompanied by drinks and socializing. Thus, the translation may vary depending on the specific context. 18:57
Some important things to know. Moldova was part of Romania until 1940 when Russia took it away. It was split in two. One part is with Romania still and it's called the same, Moldova region, in Romania. The other part is Moldova, the country, which you are in right now. The face on the money is Stefan cel Mare, Stephen the Great. He is an ancient ruler, king, of the Moldova region, meaning both the Moldova region from Romania and the current Moldova country. He is one of the most loved rulers in both Romania and Moldova. Like I said, everything is tied together because we were the same country... In Moldova, they speak Romanian and Russian. Mamaliga means polenta. It's the same as in Romania and it's called mamaliga here too. Buna is short for Buna Ziua. It's the same in Romania. People told you to say Buna because Buna Ziua might be more complicated for you to say. So the proper greeting is Buna (Good) Ziua (Day), Good Day, Buna Ziua. But you can say Buna also. It's just the short form for Buna Ziua and more informal.
